Roy, you are one of only a handful of smiths on RUclips who produce content which will enable beginning smiths to create new things and improve their techniques. Thanks for your service!
Thank you for all time, trouble, effort and materials you put into your presentations. Your subject specific tutorials are my most valuable learning aid.
I'm surprised there wasn't a fishtail scroll. I would have thought that would certainly be one of the common types of scroll ends (it feels like I see it a lot). But anyway, it's great to see examples of the different ends.
Awesome. I think the penny scroll is my favorite. Glade to see you getting some use out of the mallet too. Any criticism on it so I can make the next one better? Thanks, God bless
Roy , Question: I recently bought some Bithumus Coal. It was easy to lite. But it burned up really quickly. I had my airflow as low and slow as possible. I used almost 75 lbs to make a pair of slotted jaw tongs. Is there a different type besides Anthracite I can use that burns longer but lites as well.
Question: how deep is a store bought fire box for solid fuel forge? I made mine from a brake rotor/drum from a duelly and it's 3" deep, deep enough to get an oxygen neutral heat?

Nice one.
have you tried putting animal heads on them?
Hi roy how do you prevent the deformation of the steel as you turn out your scroll so that you don't have to put a grinder to your work
