If you haven't seen them live, please do yourself a favor and do it. Just forget about how the world sucks for a couple hours. They're very impressive live. Nonstop good vibes and the crowd this band attracts is so fun. Much more then this video leads on. At my show the crowd erupted as soon as the beginning chords of "Can I Call You Tonight" started. I ended up going alone because my friend bailed last minute. Zero regrets, if you like this music you'll feel at home with this crowd after you put back a few drinks.
i saw them in manchester a couple weeks ago, and the supporting band was far caspian. it was so surreal because they're the 2 bands that pulled me through lockdown
I hope that the translation that I am doing with google is well understood, I am from Argentina and I do not speak English. I need to write how happy their music makes me and this show in particular, with such a relaxed atmosphere, I love the aesthetic that everyone in the band wears, whether it's because of the clothes, hairstyles and mustaches, it might seem silly to look at that, but in this case it is not, since it adds a lot to the immersion and travel to the past when good music was made. I'm from '92 and I've always been a fan of music from the 70's and 80's. All my life I spent thinking about "How great it would have been to be able to live in those years and listen to such great music like, Aha, Alpaville, Tears for fears, Depeche Mode, etc, as new albums were coming out year after year" . All with that magical sound of synthesizers, keyboards and drums full of reverb. And thanks to the great Sloan I can feel that experience at my 30 years in the middle of 2022. Thank you!!!! I am literally obsessed with his songs. By the way, thank you very much Ana, for uploading this video, there is no day where I don't see it. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I reviewed their NOVO Theater @ LA Live show and I remarked how I don't think I've seen a more joyous show. . . ever. I was so, so pleasantly surprised.
Do you have an Austin City Limits episode from 1983? Rosanne Cash makes her solo debut, including the first live performance of Seven Year Ache. Steve Wariner makes his first appearance on Austin City Limits, bringing a mixture of country and rock.
I was at the show the night before this. They were about 2 hours late because their bus got stuck in Alabama. They definitely are exhausted in the video. But mad respect on the performance.
He actually does! I think it was in one his “How I Made” videos where he talks about how big of an influence they were with his music. I remember listening to False Direction for the first time and thinking it was a Phoenix song!
He's went from recording in his home to playing live shows all over the place, it's alright for him not to be alright lmao. Quite a transition tbh, he's sounding a lot better than what I've heard in the past (on youtube anyway).

Is this like the first show that Dayglow did not play Hot Rod
@@Mike-ti1ck I didn’t even notice that; although it’s a much shorter show so maybe he didn’t have enough time

The drummer just looks like he’s having a blast the entire time 😀
Thank you PBS and Austin City Limits! Without you I never would have discovered this amazing band.
God I love dayglow and his music a lot, so much love on each song that he releases

It's very well understood! Good job. You should try learning english! It's a lot of fun
Drummer is absolutely killing it 💯
This music/aesthetic/sounds/vibes are immaculate
Un artista dedicado a la música al 100 , se ve que realmente disfruta cantar y entretener 👏👏👏👏
Felt something in that performance, I can definitely see you guys going places.
That line in the first song “your coffee to go is hotter than Hades” makes me extremely happy for some reason. Lol
My favourite band.

Esa banda que!!
You can hear his exhaustion
Nah, even when he does performances in his living room he still has those things he does with his voice. It's just his live performing style.
@@yellingyellow5209 you shouldn’t feel bad, he obviously enjoys it. For example Marching band is really fun but is very exhausting.

that crowd needs more energy
Amo a Carlitos
My man bucktooth beats back there not playin games
It rather stuns me that Dayglow doesn't list Phoenix among its musical influences. ( Sorta feel at times they're entitled to a royalty check).
