People may say that they are invasive species, but the reality is that its better we have invasive species rather than none. Tilapia is an invasive species.
Hi KOSm, i was thinking the same.At what stage will they multiply and will they eat the babies. They turned darker still beautiful. Enjoy stay safe thanks for sharing.
Hi...I think they have to get a little older before multiplying...When they pair off I will separate them...The parents usually take great care of the babies. They are great fish!
KoS. Throw them in the swamp with the wolfish. May be invasive species, but better to have them rather than none. In Guyana and Surimame they are big sport................and eating. Yuh finding tilapia in all them waterways now. They are not indigenous to T&T. Bring them south and throw them in the Usine pond !
Lol...If they were not that expensive and I could get a few more, that would be a plan! It would be great to be able to fish for them here in Trini! Maybe one day!
Their Growth Rate is amazing. My cousin bought one at 1.5 inches in September 2021...4 months later he is just over 7 inches in length.

what size is that tank. is it okay for it to have no bracing?
It is a 6ft x 20 inches x 20 inches....Based on the thickness of the glass and size of tank, bracing wasnt required.
You could build a pond or buy a big pool and make it in to a pond for them
