Why is your English so good? My sister went to turkey this summer and she struggled so much because anybody knew English (she went to Istanbul) and I'm saying this because i think you're from Turkey right?

yess I'm from Istanbul. english is not really a priority in turkish schools, it's mostly taught in private schools - which I've been to all my life and my parents always put emphasis on speaking in english since I was 3 :) but honestly there are lots of people who speaks excellent that learned by themselves and many who cannot speak even if they got a great english education. I think it comes from a personal effort but definitely not collective :)
