I can only fantsize playing like her. I can't believe she can mix technical dexterity with poetry and freshness of interpretation. This last ability----to create a freshness---is a most difficutlt thing.
This is brilliant! One day a while back I seriously listened to this at least 25 times in a row, and didn't want to stop. Ms. Lisitsa is a wonderfully talented person!
I cam across Valentina only recently and quite frankly cannot get enough. I think she has literally been touched by the hand of God. There are'nt words to describe her playing and interpretation. Everything she performs looks like it is a breeze in the park for her. Bravo! I hope to see her live somewhere someday. A once in a lifetime experience!
thats three days now I am listening to Mrs Lisitsa and I am never bored..... she is great in everything she does. There are no difficulties for her concerning tempi and technique. The only thing she needs is a good recording ingeneer and the best management possible and the best Steinway piano avalilable then we all will get more than happy.....
That is the first video I saw of you! Simply enough for me to be in love with your musical talent. You have been mine favorite pianist and musical soul all these years. A billion Thanks to you ;-)
HI!! VALENTINA, YOU ARE MY FAVORITE CLASSICAL PIANIST! And this interpretation of Spinnerlied is by far the best one that I have heard. Can you do a recording of it with the same quality of Rachmanninov Red Riding Hood? I love that one too. It will take me forever to play either of them half as well as you do! Keep up the great performances!
You are utterly amazing! So talented! It must be incredible to have the music flow through your hands like it does. I aspire one day to be even 1/4 as good as you!!
After seeing countless Valentina's youtube performances and her to continuously making me believe that she is best there is or has been, i'm wondering is there any piece you ( she ) really has to work on? Can't get it how your performances always makes so hard things look so easy. It's insane really. I'm speechles, such an immense technique and performance.
I find this a wonderfull interpretation! I don't understand all the comments below about "just technique", but no content. This piece is just technique, and i think she is just practizing here. It must be at La Roque d' Antheron in the South of France, I recognize the green chairs and the stage since i have been there twice.
This is one of the few performances of this piece I can enjoy because it's at the same tempo that is standard for the chorus ("Summ und brumm, du gutes Rädchen" from _Der fliegende Holländer_ ) in performance. Other pianists too often play it like a dirge. As someone who likes Liszt's Wagner transcriptions _because_ they're Wagner, I frequently get frustrated by pianists who fail to evoke the sense of the original music in their performances.
If you say that in the channels with Cziffra's videos, the people there get offended. But I think these comparisons are not good. Both are excellent, and point.
I'd like to sleep on the pillow you've sit on just if i'd get a tiny bit of the talent you have =) I also find it perplexing you can casually check up what's the cleaner doing whilst playing this piece.
Has she ever played this in concert/recital, or is it just a warm up exercise? Either way, it is a lovely piece, and the speed and sheer quantity of notes is utterly mindblowing.
I thought that was proper technique (correct me if I am wrong), low wrists signify tension in the fingers, when your fingers are relaxed your wrists should elevate
@ValentinaLisitsa I saw a nasty comment a few months back i thought it was you. I stopped listening to your music because of that. I'm so sorry. I just wish i noticed this comment sooner. Keep up the good work Val and again my apologizes for doubting your credibility.
hahhahah... :-) back ground audience don't care !! music and the way she is acting and the piece is quite cheerful ..hahahahaha...the box noise in the last seconds quite on the beat and time ! hahahahahah...!
Can you all please stop saying "She" or "Her"!!?!? Mind your manners!! She is right HERE in front of the RUclips playing for you all! Here, I'll show you how it's done! "Valentina is beyond anyone in technique and artistic expression and virtuosity"!!! You see?? USE HER NAME!! DONT USE "SHE"!
Valentine Lists a, I hear more than just a similarity in name but the very Spirit of List within you. Fabulous artistry.

I never tired of watching this!! Such elegant and effortless playing!

Hermosa. Eres increíble, me ayudas a ser feliz en esta vida. Sergio. México.
What excitement !! Thank you !!
Délicieuse impression que ce morceau, comme improvisé dans l'instant, avec le bruit des techniciens qui s'affairent dans l'arrière plan. Merci
the most talented women pianist ever

Very nice!

Nice variation. Had to think hard but then I remembered: it's from Wagner's "The Flying Dutchman", second act.
No one tops Valentina!

not only of Liszt but of Chopin and Beethnoven too!
A proletarian seems (not?) to enjoy Wagners Music :D It`s so funny, this video with that guy, walking there and back in the background :D
WONDERFUL! SO MUCH fun!!!

Девочка талантливая.
that guy in the back has no clue how lucky he is!!! lol
I saw this post like 10 years ago, and I wanted to FINALLY like it, lol. He really had no idea how fortunate he was to have heard this live.

That man in the background works like nothing was happening!
haha.. the sound man must never realized that he's actually watched worldwide by just walking here and there... but, he's lucky..
If you notice, the workman keeps sweeping that same spot over and over again.
is she sitting on a pillow?
hahhahah... :-) back ground audience don't care !!

My word. Sorry for my ignorance. I thought she composed this! Whoops!
Do we even use the word proletariat anymore?
