This was great! I like how you were able to record the docents explaining the history and the actors as they played their parts! Love these old trains. The railroad here in the US has put 2 old steam engines back on the rails for all of us to enjoy as they travel around the country. This video was very well done Karen! I did not realize General Motors built Locomotives. Hope you didn’t lose to much in the Robbery! 😆 Thanks so much! Steve
Thank you for the awesome feedback. I have to agree, everyone on the train treated "the girl with the camera" like gold. It was a perfect day! We had a GM plant in Regina for a long time. Soon I'll get the drone out to look at some of the old architecture in the repurposed GM buildings. So many ideas, so many things to film!
They had kids in the locomotive and all over the train. There's two big percherones pulling a wagon and a "jail car" made just for kids. I agree, they would love it!
I didn’t know that Robert, you should get up here and ride some trains in Canada starting with this one. Next you might want to take the train that goes through the #RockyMountains, I hear it’s a good one!
@@ExploringCanadaInfo I’ve visited a train museum in Savannah, Georgia that was really nice. I grew up jumping on freight trains all the time in my home town . I would camp out in the woods by the train tracks with only a sleeping bag and be woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of an approaching train and get up to watch it go by in the night. But the coolest but creepiest was when the train would stop in the middle of the night and all you could hear was the engine idling in the quiet of the night. Such a cool memory I’ll never forget.
It was super fun. You're right we left Wakaw and went to Cudworth and then back again. Super great entertainment and amazing locally-sourced gourmet food. Highly recommend.
