Hi Prof, really wanted to appreciate your commitment towards a holistic education for your students. This video is particularly informative in helping us zone in on the importance of a firm foundation for Level 1 and I would like to express my gratitude for such quality content.
Hey Mark, are you going to make a video about how to approach L1 December attempt? I mean after this big break and everything going around, we need expert guidance.
All the reading numbers I am referring to are for 2020. To compare the 2020 with the 2019 Level 1 - www.cfainstitute.org/en/programs/cfa/curriculum/study-sessions
@@MarkMeldrum Oh, I got confused because on your website you are not using the latest CFAI reading numbers. For example in 2020 Level 1, you are showing Intro to Alternatives as R54 even though it is actually R50.

If i purchase the level 1 archive, do i get access to the updated style of reading notes? (Typed, current lvl 2 style vs. handwritten, what was provided last year) Thanks
Hi Dr Meldrum, I am a L1 candidate for the Dec exam and I am scheduled to finish my syllabus by mid-end Aug. Would you recommend studying for L2 or focusing on perfecting these 17 critical readings from L1?
@@MarkMeldrum Thank you for your reply. Just a follow up to clarify, I meant studying for L2 as per the tapering strategy and focusing topics like corp finance, derivatives and AI. So essentially follow the tapering strategy vs focusing on the 17 critical chapters.

Do the level 1 archive come with PDFs for those videos at the time they were made ?
No. We don't keep PDFs from year to year - that would be a content management nightmare.
May i know if this still applies for l2 nov 2022?
Yes it does.
If i purchase the level 1 archive, do i get access to the updated style of reading notes? (Typed, current lvl 2 style vs. handwritten, what was provided last year) Thanks
The archive is based on 2019 content, the updated PDFs are based on 2020 - they would not line up well.
No Portfolio Management readings at L1 important for L2?
Not really.

Focus on Level 1. Get that done first. Start level 2 second week of December.

So you were prepared for L1 for June I take it. Then sure.
