Do you get a 'shadowing' problem on the design when pressing on specific fabrics using the auto-open? I've heard that some may get shadowing due to the sudden swinging open of the heat press. Hope you can shed some light on this. Thank you.
that problem mostly applies to dye-sublimation transfers and the best way to avoid the"lift" is to have an upper platen cover...it is non-stick at those high temperatures and also avoids fouling your upper platen with dye-sub residue. This residue will eventually ruin subsequent prints if not attended to
I own the Hotronix Auto Open Clam Heat Press. How can I prevent it from exceeding the temperature I set?

my machine wont clamp down. Fresh out of the box - terribly hard to get ahold of anyone on customer service

This guy gives horrible instructions and my heat press is malfunctioning and they no longer have technical help!! This company is horrible!
