Micheal Biehn and Tom Berenger are the masters at playing the military role so well. Biehn was in The Rock for 10 minutes and the shower scene might be one of the most iconic scenes in action films to me.
To me, this movie is perfect blend of horror and sci-fi, combined with some incredible action sequences too. All the performances are amazing, the score is legendary, and it has probably the greatest premises for any sci-fi movie. It's amazing, and I agree with Russ, this is James Cameron best movie.
Terminator 2 is even more violent than the first, it just has more levity, but it really wasn't toned down at all. Michael Beihn's Kyle Reese was pretty solid, he played that role perfectly with the intensity of someone that would have PTSD. Watch Dark Fate to really appreciate his performance here.
I've always prefered The Terminator over T2. It's definitely a horror film, and I'll always remember the first time I watched it in the mid 90s. The 4K is awesome. I wish the steelbook was dark too. It doesn't compliment the look and tone of the film but it is what it is. Congrats on 10K subs btw, nice work.
@@LukeLovesRose I like many types of films, just saying I prefer The Terminator over the summer blockbuster vibes of T2. It’s not a bad film by any means.
7:55, wow Michael didn't add anything? do you not hear the passion while explaining the situation, terminator and future in the car ? the love story and passion in the hotel room? wrong here Russ!
I'm with Russ on this one. T1 is truly terrifying, T2 is slicker but ultimately tame in comparison. Overall I was disappointed with this transfer. It loses some of the gritty tone (the HDR highlights are overdone and make the visuals imbalanced) and the AI enhancements are too obvious at times. I popped in the blu-ray after watching and the big benefits of the 4K are superior colours and the typical resolution improvements (less banding and higher bitrate) but I still prefer the HD version.
It’s certainly the weakest of the three, but I like what they did with T3. They didn’t ignore the events of T2, it just delayed the inevitable and eventual ascent of technology taking over. I think that’s a realistic take, and in a lot of ways we are living it right now. I love the bleak ending, and this is the last solid role for Arnie before he became the Governator. It’s best to pretend the rest of the movies don’t exist. 😂

When I first saw the stills for this 4k transfer, I breathed a sigh of relief. I couldn’t deal with terminator one teal edition. Great video!
Right there with you!
This is my favorite movie and the 4K is pretty good. This transfer is way more consistent than the True Lies 4K.

It looks incredible! I got my copy this week.
I really liked terminator salvation. I was surprised that people didn't like it at all.
4:50, they finally edited the blade back on in the 4k release

So you prefer horror films?? Or do you just not see value in incredible action movies like T2??
Thanks, Kirk!

I got the slipcover, both were almost same price, I just wish the art inside the steel was on the outside and I would have gotten it instead
it looked absolutely beautiful
I also bought T2 4K and it looks absolutely terrible
T2 4k 3D in cinema back in 2018 was epic tho!
Cameron needs to give T2 the same treatment, then he's done.

Have you guys seen what is going on with the I Love Lucy blu-ray? Holy cow what AI did there is craaaaazzzyyy!
No, we hadn't heard. Is it terrible?
T2 is still better. T1 is close
*in my opinion
