- A flip-through of the new mass market edition of The Relative Tarot by Carrie Paris, published by Weiser Books.
Also mentioned briefly in this video are the Vintage Wisdom Oracle by Victoria Mosley and Ancestral Path Tarot by Nancy Hendrickson.
This concept of the book isn't for beginners, but you can use the deck like any RWS deck, just look up meanings in one of the 1000's of books on RWS meanings...
I bought this yesterday from a local bookstore (because Amazon is evil) . All of the reviews I've seen are just walkthroughs that discuss the beauty of this deck. Problems with the deck- card stock is a bit stiff and it doesn't shuffle well. Maybe it's the gorgeous gold gilding. I may trim that off just to get it to shuffle. The beauty in undeniable so I won't waste words repeating the details of that yet again..which every video seems to showcase over again.
Here's the thing- the guidebook didn't talk about the cards meanings, *but that same info is in every LWB, so I don't think we needed yet another guidebook of the same info in it.*
The creator does discuss why Waite switched up the Strength and Justice's original placement.
What I'm hoping to find in a video somewhere is someone to discuss the numbers on the cards. The guidebook explains, but deck review videos haven't gone into it, which is what really sets this deck apart from the rest.
So for example, The High Priestess has the numerals 2.11.20 in the bottom left hand corner, your Blueprint (if that's your birth or annual card) to show their numerological correspondences. Each cards except for the 16 court cards are marked this way.
The book shows how to find your birth card which Mary Greer has written about extensively, and as you reduce the numbers in numerology, the numbers you reduce to on your way to the single digit number, those numbers show up as your Inner Expression, Outer Expression, or Shaow Cards, depending on your birthdate. These are what make up your Blueprint.
The guidebook doesn't explain how she suggests we use the blueprint in readings, though. She suggests finding your birth card blueprint, your annual blueprint, and your significant or cards, which are based on age and whatever genders one chooses for themselves.
But nowhere in the book does it really suggests how to use that info, unless the reader is just using them as significators, with a (fill in the blank) spread around/with it.
This guidebook is really about finding your numbers, which hasn't been discussed in a RUclips video.
If anyone knows of one, I'd appreciate a reply to this post. I'm going to post this also on other videos of this deck review, hoping someone will know more than the same walkthroughs.
