Alright, it all sounds good on paper, but we know what they did to LOTR so I ain't holding a breath. Westworld was fantastic and so was the Dark Knight, doesn't mean this will be. As far as I'm concerned the last lore able Fallout was Tactics. Fallout 3, 4 and Vegas is Bethesda's Fallout, it's not canon.

After all the Witcher butchering, one might think game adaptation producers have learn to stick to cannon material. Hope the Fallout tv series be a success like The Last of Us. The Ghoul character sounds like Alphonse Loeher/Lanselot Tartaros from the game series Tactics Ogre, he is the protagonist on the Tactics Ogres Knights of Lodis, then is the villain in Tactics Ogre Let Us Cling Together.
Oh gosh, I just watched Knights of the Zodiac. Why do they even bother making a live-action movie if they're going to completely change everything. Just make it a completely different movie/series.

"Why didn't we think of that?" Because Emil Pagliarulo is pretty much a hack writer that has to define everything in a specific way. Meanwhile, your character is what you the player defines them as in Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout: New Vegas. I will be cautiously optimistic.
I got really hyped when I saw the title of the video. But after watching it, I have no hope for the show. Nada. And here are the reasons. 1. Todd is an executive producer. I'm sorry, the guy is a laughably bad storyteller. 2. The events are set after Fallout 4, easily the worst Fallout story-wise, and we're on the East Coast, which, again, is the shittily-written one of the two regions in the world of Fallout. 3. The protagonist is female. If they were male, we could easily get a strong female sidekick, and that would've been awesome. Sadly, this doesn't work the other way around these days. No cool John for our Jane. So she's either gonna be the local Dolores (i.e. overpowered and infallible) or a lesbian with a butch girlfriend. 4. Those shots with power armor look exactly like what Rhykker said: cosplay. How did they mess up the proportions this badly? 5. Vault Boy origin. Really? Who fucking asked for it? A major part of what makes Vault Boy great is that he just inexplicably exists. An explanation of how he came to be can _only_ make him less. 6. Fucking Megaton. Todd's idiotic fucking shantytowns. 7. A MacGuffin at the center of the plot. A G.E.C.K. probably. Again. 8. A ghoul named The Ghoul with the absolute worst ghoul make-up you could imagine. 9. The way Nolan talks about the setting, there's zero chance we're getting a "show, don't tell" kind of show. Exposition dumps will be rampant. 10. Tood is an executive producer. Taking all this into account, there's no chance the show isn't a dumpster fire.
I mean, Fallout 1 and 2 were all about the McGuffin and that has nothing to do with Bethesda or Todd Howard. Dude... no... Todd didn't make Fallout to begin with lol, Bethesda acquired the series from Interplay. There are a lot of ideas from the original games and design they followed slightly then turned around and contradicted themselves multiple times already with their version of the lore. Of course they (Bethesda) wouldn't think of good ideas for the series because they didn't understand it to begin with. There is a reason many people consider New Vegas the real 3D Fallout and laugh at 3, 4 and 76. Bethesda ruined the lore, I don't have hope for this at all. Now if they consulted Tim Cain, Brian Fargo, and the rest of the original team maaaaaybe I'd give it a shot. Oh and in before the VATS scene where everyone is moving normally and one character is acting like their in slow motion for "comedic effect", I can see them pulling some bs like that.
Depends. Will they stay true to the game? Or will they 'remake it for a modern audience'? One option leads to success. The other to certain doom. Anyone want to make a bet which way they will choose?
It will definitely be a "unique" story for modern audience.. and just remember.. having a diverse cast and the right political message trumps any good story.. so eat it with a spoon...

My concern was high when I first heard about this aeries. Time has eased pretty much all of those concerns. I am very much looking foreward to this now. Also I would like to point out that I am kinda glad that it looks like they are going to let greenery remain. It doesn't make sense that all plant life is dead but other forms of life remain.
The moment he said it's created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of The Peripheral, I was just... no no no, I can't be excited for that. Sure the first season of Westworld was great, but that's it. It kept going down. And then they made The Peripheral which is really horrible. Extremely bad writing and all. Much worse than later Westworld seasons. Meh.
i wish people would stop talking about Tod Howard and Bethesda as the original creators of Fallout.. Bethesda took an already amazing franchise and started putting out their own shitty versions using their shitty creation engine. Why would anyone care what Tod Howard thinks about a TV adaptation? The only good Fallout game that has been published since Bethesda aqquired the license in 2008 is fallout new vegas, and that was produced by Obsidian entertainment..
Not getting any hopes up for anything anymore... 90% of the stuff out of "honeys"wood plain and simple sucks.. but hey, maybe i get surprised.. tho i doubt it.

Well at least there wont be the issue of "race/sex swapping", as there arent many main character elements to the Fallout series. Though I'm sure they will find a way to wokify this IP. Main character: strong woman, dont need no man. Survives the blast by defeating patriarchy with her non-dominant hand.
@@RedDeadWest2182 let's recap; strong female lead character#1, black youth character#2, the villain a white deformed male character#3. Now, this is progressive/woke Vanity Fair's article. So they may be highlighting the things they/them feel most important. But those of us that saw Amazon crap all over LotR's lore/canon won't forget "the message" being pushed. This is the woke playbook 101. Fallout games were "choose you're adventure"(I go back to Fallout 1). Outside of the main quest, you could ignore tongue-in-cheek side quests. And you could choose to make your character weak/smart, strong/dumb, and everything in between.
I understand your points and where you’re coming from, let me respectfully disagree. We have seen strong female characters in fallout ( ex. Cass, Nora, female protagonist etc.) we’ve also seen black characters have some roles as characters ( ex. black protagonist, Joe Cob, Preston Garvey etc.) Although to be fair the race and sex of most of the customizable protagonists is flimsy and simply there for roleplay, and a lot of these characters are NPCs. And the part about the ghoul villain isn’t the strongest point. We have had ghouls who have been white, black and even asian. There’s always been female and male ghouls. And there have been hostile ghouls who have played the part of antagonists. And well yeah the vanity fair doesn’t have the best track record. Although this could just be a simple promotion of the show
And I mean ghouls are supposed to be deformed, there’s no “demonizing” there, in fact it’s quite cool. A pre war civilian turned ghoul bounty hunter is pretty cool. And again I don’t see race playing a part in this point
Amazon making another show about my favourite franchise.... Please be good, please be good, please be good. We don't want another The Rings of Power disaster Speaking of Westworld... The season 1 is masterpiece. One of the best works of Anthony Hopkins. Everytime he is on screen, the dialog is FIRE
I'm taking the safe path and expecting something very bleh that way if it is good I can feel surprised.

Hope its better than Netflix's latest Resident Evil.
Dont get your hopes up.
This series is going to live or die on whether or not it can Nail the tone of the games. the last thing I want to see is this show taking itself too seriously.
Dude...
Bethesda's mouth is leaking saliva hard right now.
After rings of power, I’m scared.
@@EtoniC42 So cynical. You must be great to be around.
@@jodinsan i dont understand what me wanting a good story has to do with that... He talked alot about Westworld.. Westworld had a great season 1, close to 10/10 for me.. season 2 was a little less good, but i still enjoyed it... The rest was utter garbage in my opinion.. Marvel stuff was good until endgame, then it fell off.. in my opinion.. lotr rings of power was just bad.. it didnt even look good for a show that cost like 500 million dollars to produce, had the worst written character arcs and dialogues.. in my opinion.. so i ask you, me being sceptical for any show or movie these days to be surprised in a good way is wrong how? Im always hoping for a good story, but i wont count any chickens before they are hatched... Oh and im sure you are lovely to be around, not that it fcn matters to me anyhow..
Showrunners are from Captain Marvel and The Office. WF/BM lead. I can see where this is going.
@@EtoniC42yea sounds were having a woke skinny sheltered girl boss 😂
i liked season 1 of westworld and thought i think this is building up to be something really great.... oh there out.... there all gone.... this sucks now lol this actually looks alot better than i expected
So Jinx, raised in a box, tests out the world for the first time. Sounds like it's gonna be a insane ride.
No a guy named norm is the main character and the person that played jinx is only in half the episodes. This is what happens when you listen to somebody that isn't good at their job.
Strong female leads are like the bestest tv shows 🎉
The way Nolan describes Brotherhood is missing the entire point of them: they're technology hoarders first and foremost. He said nothing of the sort, and the trailer showed nothing of the sort. It's gonna suck and it's not going to be lore-friendly, I just know it
I wonder if they will show someone eating rad roach meat.
Great info. Awesome channel! 👍👍
Bet she’s gonna be a Mary sue
Never get hyped. The secret to happiness in life is low expectations.
Thank you. This sounds great.
You’re recommending people watch west world, it’s no longer on Max, WB does this extremely stupid thing where when a show gets cancelled they remove it from the platform
Yeah westworld was a one season wonder for sure
Hopefully, this won't end up like The Rings of Power...
Sorry, Rhykker. You can't defend preachy by saying "it's always been kinda preachy"... What's next? Are you gonna tell me this show is not meant for me?
I'm not sure. Lord of the rings flop, dark crystal flop, willow flop....witcher.....you guessed it
Rhykker my man, I love you, I really do, but "look at that armour" without
aknowledging it's a BOS armor, seems like you haven't done your research mate. XD
If it's bad, don't worry, the community will fix it with mods.
I just hope screenplay isn't written by Bethesda...
eh. I mean, i want it to be good..... but pretty much every live adaptation of the properties I've enjoyed have turned out anything from mediocre to terrible. Halo was the last nail in the coffin for me. So much potential and that's what you do with it?
My new standard is just hope it isn't insulting to the fans.
I bet they shot it with 24 FPS with 16x times the details...
If Ron Perlman isn't the narrator, 0/10.
Looks sick
This show will be full of loading screens 😂😂
modders will fix all that :P
The moment he said it's created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of The Peripheral, I was just... no no no, I can't be excited for that. Sure the first season of Westworld was great, but that's it. It kept going down. And then they made The Peripheral which is really horrible. Extremely bad writing and all. Much worse than later Westworld seasons.
Meh.
This will be a big "no fucking thanks"
another stuning and brave stronk female with "the mesage"....
lol yeah, don't know if vault boy needs a backstory.
i wish people would stop talking about Tod Howard and Bethesda as the original creators of Fallout..
Rhykker, that is not a 'classic' Fallout-looking town, Shady Sands looks nothing like that. If Bethesda is involved, it will be bad. This video explains it well, 'Bethesda NEVER Understood Fallout' - ruclips.net/video/M8U4k2Ik6yk/видео.html
It will be crap ... and woke
Don't get your hopes up
Strong girl boss. Alarm sounding.
Well at least there wont be the issue of "race/sex swapping", as there arent many main character elements to the Fallout series. Though I'm sure they will find a way to wokify this IP. Main character: strong woman, dont need no man. Survives the blast by defeating patriarchy with her non-dominant hand.
I mean you could make your protagonists in the game male or female. Would you call the female lone wanderer, courier, chosen one and Nora woke?
Cass, Nora, female protagonist etc.) we’ve also seen black characters have some roles as characters ( ex. black protagonist, Joe Cob, Preston Garvey etc.)
Although to be fair the race and sex of most of the customizable protagonists is flimsy and simply there for roleplay, and a lot of these characters are NPCs.
And if you play all the games in a specific way (besides fallout 1) you can make it quite “woke”
Hmmmm.... amazon huh?
well I guess at least it isn't netflix or disney so MAYBE it has a chance of being good....?maybe?
Amazon making another show about my favourite franchise....
Please be good, please be good, please be good.
We don't want another The Rings of Power disaster
Speaking of Westworld... The season 1 is masterpiece.
One of the best works of Anthony Hopkins. Everytime he is on screen, the dialog is FIRE
If they make it about fallout and not woke messaging it'll be fine. But thats asking a lot.
11:35 they're hunting for the G.E.C.K. ?
