Awesome, love the sound of vinyl. Some great albums there. My 25 year old kid says no difference between the sound CD and vinyl. Those of us that grew up with it know better.
The Cars "Drive" Who's going to pick you up when you fall, whos going to drive you home tonight, whos going to pay attention to your dreams, whos going to plug your ears when you scream..how going to come around when you break..wow. I was going through a divorce. I just played that song again and tears came. It is amazing how music can transport you right back to a distant past. I have now been happily married to my second husband for 28 years, but boy oh boy, I did not even know those feelings were still accessible.
Sade had perfect pitch. Love her! What a collection! I have some of my LP's in the plastic wrap. They are going to my kids which were constantly exposed to all kinds of music growing up and know the music value of my collection. Good to see those covers again!
Who didn't love a new album or second-hand of a unheard backlog? Covernotes, artwork & innersleaves read and admired, while the turntable spins the vinyl record with its unmistakable surface noise and crackling!! Well, digital downloads are good but, holding a physical copy of music in your hands is something else?👍
The live version of the song Highway Star, on the album made in Japan by Deep Purple. That is the best version of that song ever recorded. Please give it a listen and you will see what I mean.😊😊😊
I remember seeing White Snake at a small 1,200 people venue back in 90 or 91 ... They played for hour and a half and it was an amazing concert ... My ears were ringing for a couple days !!!
I like the graphics so cool. It ironic that I was just talking to my uncle about music.. We talked for hours who was in it and was the best. Amazing. Roger was a true collector. Hope you do more video on these... I even wrote down the bands that I'd like to listen to. That watch was on the wall not more then 24 hours. Thanks for sharing Pete.
if you are talking UFO not making it to the radio , you are wrong , 1st song I ever learned on guitar was Rock Bottom by UFO , also Lights Out In London was another hit from UFO , love those guys , saw them here in Seattle at El Corazon in 2008 and the venue was over sold , (over sold ,meaning they sold more tix then the venue could hold ) it was so packed , got my start on guitar with UFO and I later shared the stage with SABATON at the same venue with my band in 2012 !
That sure brought back memories. A lot of songs came to mind with each album. A few of them came up and I knew the album before you mentioned it, Old school music.
Deep Purples Burn was their first album with David Coverdale, who would later front Whitesnake. This collection is amazing so far, and I'm only one bin in. This would be a perfect playlist.
Oh!!! We are drooling over your new vinyl!! This would be a dream come true for us!! Congratulations and enjoy! We certainly enjoyed your video. Cheers!
In the topsy-turvy world of record grading, 'Good' condition means bad and 'Very Good' condition means well-used. From what I can see here Pete has scored a trove of 'Near Mint' condition album titles from sought-after artists. Roger left a lot of meat on the bone here so I bet he was well-compensated...great video!
Yes, but the pressing is what's important (apart from condition). That's what makes it's value. Different cheap 'Nth' generation production copies of what label, what country, what pressing plant etc etc, the same 'title' can range drastically. It depends on the pressing.
Damn. Super jealous over here. Hard to come across that much good content in such good condition. Great buy. I find maybe one collection that good in a year, two if i am super duper lucky.
Man that's a great collection. He has great taste as so you for knowing them right away. Those Scorpion albums look so amazing. Uli John Roth is my idol!
Back in the day when being sold new, you would be hard pressed to find a Sticky Fingers album in the bins where somebody hadn't pulled the zipper down.
It would have been cool if you would have invited Richard into your chat room to share the vinals with him instead of doing it alone. He probobly would have enjoyed going through them with you and sharing his memories of them with you. The chat room is ideal for moments like that. Oh well. Love the chat room idea.
Love to see you getting something this good. I just found you through your live show with Don and now I'm binge watching your vids. Love your content. Your shop. Your great voice, and - yes - your kitty!
Nice Haul. Looks like he took pretty good care of them too. As an old record collector, I'd love to see the more obscure ones. I bet there's some real gems in there! Hope you show some. I might be able to help with cluing you in on some of them. BTW... You may already know this, but never leave records stacked flat like that very long. Not good for them. They can warp after time.
Nice score Pete! My wife, son and I drove from NW Indiana on Monday to come to your store. We just watched the video and hope you have some KISS in those bins!
AWESOME!!! I have not thought about UFO for YEARS! I LOVE that band! I am gonna go download some of their music right now. Great collection! I agree about The Stones... good but not in my top 10. Thanks for sharing!
Led Zeppelin Houses of the Holy. All those albums, I have heard them all on vinyl. I have a lot of those. Well played but I do have some that have never seen a needle. I bought blues records that were not going to printed on CD. End of the line for them. I have never played but have heard the songs. Digging online and these players were sooo good. Time capsules.
pete that is one AWESOME collection i have alot of vinyl which i love they are macking a come back for sure you will have no problem selling those my friend for sure if i had the money i would buy them all, lol
What a great collection. It was fun trying to name the artist before you did. Music seemed so important as a teenager and young adult in the 1970s & 80s. I have about half of the records you showed but my collection is all on cassettes because I had cassette decks and Walkmans. I have about 350 cassettes in storage and haven't touched them in probably 25 years. I think they pretty much have zero resale value. Some albums I purchased 4 times (record, cassette, CD and on-line).
What an awesome record collection Pete Cars Candy O was a particular favourite but later got into AC/DC black sabbath Rush & Motorhead Ozzie etc then at uni crowded house happy Mondays lol many happy memories
Led Zepplin (houses of the holy) 1973 - Physical Graffiti... Love it... Pete you picked up an amazing collection of LP's... Well done sir... Stay safe homie... 👍💞🔥⚾😷 P.S. shout out from Indiana... North of Indianapolis...✌
I remember being a the Woodville Mall in Toledo in the early 90s and there was a huge record sale of top albums to make way for the CDs and Cassettes. Most of the LPs you have here I could have gotten for as little as $.50 to a dollar!...If only I would have had forethought!
omg South Carolina thats awesome what part. Pete your channle is awesome, wont be surprised they dont put you on a network tv show one day. That Vinyl had some killer Graphics.
I would never sell my record collection like this! I will put every record in an auction and left the people and market decide what it's worth which I know I would make a lot more that way. This guy wasn't too smart and he's going to regret it later when he sees how much Pete going to ask for each album.
🦋🇬🇧 absolutely awesome collection , amazing condition , real trip down memory lane .. loved this video , will you be putting any online , ship overseas , thank you for sharing lulu and family 🇬🇧🦋
OMG what a collection!!! Love, love, love!!! Nothing is better then vinyl. Amazing!!!!!

That was so much fun to review those albums with you.
The live version of the song Highway Star, on the album made in Japan by Deep Purple. That is the best version of that song ever recorded. Please give it a listen and you will see what I mean.😊😊😊
Sooo many vinyl 😍🥰😍🥰😍 I am from Canada I love Rush! Rest In Peace Neil Peart the drummer
I remember seeing White Snake at a small 1,200 people venue back in 90 or 91 ... They played for hour and a half and it was an amazing concert ... My ears were ringing for a couple days !!!

AC/DC triggered Siri. Lol
When you said “AC” she heard “hey Siri”
When you said “DC” she thought you were inquiring about “D”isease “C”ontrol.
😆
Back in the day when being sold new, you would be hard pressed to find a Sticky Fingers album in the bins where somebody hadn't pulled the zipper down.
Would you like to hear more?

Wow! What a haul!
Roger '' Has Good Taste In Music Great Video
Insane collection you would make more money selling them in a online marketplace like eBay. Folks would pay top dollar for those classics.
YOU NEED ALITTLE WINDOW (WITH A CURTAIN) SO YOU CAN SEE OUT TO THE RECORDS , IF ANYONE IS THERE, VICKY WILL MAKE YOU ONE
Led Zepplin (houses of the holy) 1973 - Physical Graffiti... Love it... Pete you picked up an amazing collection of LP's... Well done sir... Stay safe homie... 👍💞🔥⚾😷 P.S. shout out from Indiana... North of Indianapolis...✌
Good score on the records and you look like Norm Abrams from this old House wearing that plaid shirt.
Wow! Nice collection

Run-of-the-Mill records , I don’t know what kind of gems you’re talking about
Wow David Bowie and Prince are really popular right now for they just passed away not too long ago
Jailbreak was probably the most popular album by Thin Lizzy
I would never sell my record collection like this! I will put every record in an auction and left the people and market decide what it's worth which I know I would make a lot more that way. This guy wasn't too smart and he's going to regret it later when he sees how much Pete going to ask for each album.
You think he's going to make that drive again in a week or so to check the prices?
I own almost all those records in mint shape too.
cheers
Rob
