It’s been hinted that Mika has killed a lot of humans (as per orders) during the time he was with the vampires, so he wants Yu to continue to stay “innocent” in a way. He doesn’t want Yu to become a “monster” like him, or fall to the same level as the “bad” humans who experimented with the seraph of the end. (These “bad humans” and the seraph of the end experiments are the reason Mika hates humanity in the first place).
