Always loved the Order of the Phoenix book because of the way it introduced us to or delved deeper into so many characters. Tonks and Kingsley Shacklebolt were two of my favourites.

Wasn't Tonk's hair a violent shade of purple in the books, then she helps Harry pack his things and says something like "I don't think purple really suits me" then she changes her hair to bubblegum pink, then later on in the book, her hair goes blonde and back to brunette. So, Tonk's hair didn't affect the way her mood feels, she was a metamorphagus, she could change her appearance at will.
She shares the spot with Hermione as one of my favorite Potter characters. Wish she had survived the big fight against Voldemort but then, Rowling isn't shy to kill off big characters to keep the fans on their toes...

She was really hot in order of the phoenix funny and bubbly as well, cute cos of the clumsiness factor and powerful cos she's an auror, I wish they kept her look the same in the other films and gave her more screen time. I also wish they showed her in battle in the last film
Tonks is my favorite character of all time, it really disappoints me that they don't go into her deeper in the movies. Such a shame too, Natalia Tena does a fantastic job playing Tonks.

whats sad is this is about a third of the screentime she gets in the entire film series...audiences don't really know who the heck she is. They totally rushed her relationship with Remus, barely elaborated on her pregnancy, and only called her by her name once, as far as I can remember.
Tonks kicks ass in the final scene in Order of the Phoenix. Not only does she arrive vertually arrive first on the scene, she takes out several death eaters for the rest of the order to come safely, gets the kids to safety through the ground trench and takes on Bellatrix Lestrange!! If that's not worth recognition I don't know what is.
