But nah US isn't going anywhere. So many good players in the US. This wasn't even anywhere near the best u19 team we could have put together. We could have had Ant and Lamelo on this team lol.

    Victor Wenbanyama is born is 2004 whereas his opponents are born in 2002... If Victor does not get injured and become bigger, he is going to be a beast...

      @@gortekk8990 Rebounding isnt necessarily about size but vertical leap. Especially in an era of spacing where big men have to guard players at the 3 point line instead of constantly grabbing rebounds on lay ups and mid range shots.

    Came back to this to say
    Lofton should have won MVP.
    He came in the game and changed the momentum all the way around. Even got a block and 2 steals on the defensive end in Crunch time.
    I hope he gets the opportunity to shine that he deserves

    The NBA changed the rules so a guy can’t dominate the game this way.
    Too Bad because it’s Beautiful to watch a guy who really is a skilled Post Player.

      It is still possible but a guy like that just can't keep up defensivley so they get exploited and played off the court. In addition that crazy of a power difference just doesn't exist in the NBA in most cases.

      @@Fildrekk his lateral agility is very good for someone his size he was a lot stronger, quicker and more skilled in the paint than the other bigs. I could definitely see him in the League

    Wembenyama and Chet are great prospects, but one person who's getting slept on is Lofton Jr. Great motor, and he's just a dog. Not to mention great post play and offensive rebounding. I think he can be a good player in the NBA someday

      Wen and Chet are going catch up by putting up some weight in the next few years whereas Lofton won't be able to grow taller. They'll surpass him in the long run.
      But Lofton was USA's best player in the semis and in the finals. Very good on the offense, defense, put Wenbanyama out of the game with foul trouble. Just great

    Putting the wrong players in 1Q and 2Q, Kenneth Lofton Jr. turned the game to US favor and was actually the savior of this already messed up game for the US, he was using his weight and his great positioning under the board where France players were dominating in rebounds from the go. We always expect more from the US basketball mens team specially at this level and age.

    Good game with many talents. Wembanyama and Holmgren have to gain some weight and Lofton has to get more athletic. Nice post game, but will be more whistled in upper leagues. Too much bullying . All in all a very balanced USA- Team.

    Ivey and LoftonJr dominated and gave the us the with all the hype on chet i didnt think he deserved the mvp, their guards also was pretty much deserving miles specially was great the whole tourney.
