Came back to this to say Lofton should have won MVP. He came in the game and changed the momentum all the way around. Even got a block and 2 steals on the defensive end in Crunch time. I hope he gets the opportunity to shine that he deserves
The NBA changed the rules so a guy can’t dominate the game this way. Too Bad because it’s Beautiful to watch a guy who really is a skilled Post Player.
It is still possible but a guy like that just can't keep up defensivley so they get exploited and played off the court. In addition that crazy of a power difference just doesn't exist in the NBA in most cases.

Wembenyama and Chet are great prospects, but one person who's getting slept on is Lofton Jr. Great motor, and he's just a dog. Not to mention great post play and offensive rebounding. I think he can be a good player in the NBA someday
Wen and Chet are going catch up by putting up some weight in the next few years whereas Lofton won't be able to grow taller. They'll surpass him in the long run. But Lofton was USA's best player in the semis and in the finals. Very good on the offense, defense, put Wenbanyama out of the game with foul trouble. Just great

We always expect more from the US basketball mens team specially at this level and age.
