Wow you weren't kidding! Thanks.

@@dareayoade1700 Also in case anyone cares...thanks to this video my family ordered the JBL.
Cringe Panda lessgoo..I wish my parents were as cool as yours tho. Still monitorless just my trusty Samsung headphones and mouse
Thanks
Core values: honesty and integrity, that’s refreshing!
Simply amazing! Simple and straight to the point. Great production and amazing studio setup you have! God bless! Charles III
As a owner of the JBLs, you will get every bang for your buck. They sound absolutely incredible. Since I have a small room I have the 5 inch ones and the bass is still knocking.
There you go. I totally agree. It seems like you learned the monitors and have enough to meter bass response. That's awesome.
Thanks Archie! My search for creating my home studio has been horrible. I'm happy I ran into your page!

Thanks, it's great to see you so excited about studio monitors :)
You are welcome and yess!
wish every review on youtube was this detailed, honest and entertaining. studying up for black friday. u tha man!
Very helpful video. Just stunning Straightforward and directly forthright. Extraordinary creation and astounding studio arrangement you have God favor Charles.
Yo! Just got the Adam Audio T7V's! Unboxing now, cant wait to power em up!
I was looking for a pair of 6 inch monitors but this video sold me on the Yamaha HS8s. With all the cheap and varied speakers we encounter everyday the ‘training your ears’ part sold me. First one came today and they are huge, though. You warned us but I still was surprised.
2 way vs 3 way... the problem with crossovers in 2-way designs is that they are typically set in the 1 kHz - 3kHz range. This area of the midrange is critical for vocals and many instruments in a mix. All crossovers create some degree of phase distortion. With 3-way systems, the two crossovers are usually set outside of this critical range. So any phase distortions introduced, are in less significant ranges.
This has basically become the only channel I go to for real, honest reviews!

This is one of the dopest vids I found. I'm shopping around for monitors for my voice over studio. Good lookin. Respect.

Excellent Video Archie !!!
Thank you John.
Several of ur vids have helped. Appreciate it bruh
I'm glad I can help out brother. You are welcome and thank you for watching.
Thank you Archie. I picked the JBL monitors 👍🏾 the video was a great help.
Subbed man! Your videos are so informational and entertaining. Thank tou
I've had the Presonus Eris E8's for a couple years now, and they're absolutely amazing. I tried the adam audio monitors, and they're also phenomenal. I guess I've just learned the sound of the E8's that I prefer them over most other monitors. I also have the Presonus Eris e5's when for when I need some monitors to travel with. Presonus has been my favorite over the recent years.
Nice Randy. Great monitor choices as well. Presonus and Adam both make amazing monitors. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Randy.
The presonus sceptre are crazy good. 🤯
How big is your room with the 8 inches?
Hey man! The Presonus are good for just listening to music? thx a lot!
@@brunomourao3490 they are! They're amazing for listening to music. Any studio monitor would suffice though. For mixing, they're my favorite.
Very clear and precise information, thanks a lot brother, much success to you.
Videos always on point 🔥✊🏾
Thanks Ronald!
Hey Archie great review and great channel content. As it happens I agree with your support for the Yamaha monitors I think they sound superb. 🙏🎩🦄
Thanks for the review. I'm looking to invest in some monitors as a start up DJ this has definitely helped :) :)
You are welcome and thank you for commenting. Nice, let me know which ones you go with.
Yes sir great video. I own the presonus Eris monitors. Before I can upgrade I’m working on the justification.
Thanks Wallace! Nice! Hahahaha, justification is always the first step to any purchase 😂😂😂😂
this is a very informative concept for me keep it up bro
🔥As usual
Thank you 🙏🏽

Dude A Goat 😈❤️🔥‼️
Appreciate You A Lot‼️
Hahahaha, thanks bro. I'm glad you find my videos helpful.
So very cool that you mentioned & still utilize those classic, "Mackie HR-824's" ... I actually bought the first gen. when these were first released. I also still have & utilize those bad boys almost daily for my
"near-field" work. Question, if I may... My only gripe is the accuracy of bass... Have you a suggestion for me for a more consistent [bass] playback...? Curious as to how you run those... Do you utilize a sub? I agree with you, Sir... Those HR-824's have served me well over the 23+ years I've been using them. There's not a scratch on them & I CHERISH them... I want to commend you on delivering a powerfully, informative, in-depth monitor review. I'm looking to add to my "near-field" mixing realm & this video has truly helped me in narrowing it down for excellent options. Truly. Thank you for sharing this with us. Love & Light To You All out there in RUclips Land and Beyond! 😉 🍀 💜 🎶 👻 🐾 🤗
New subscriber.... feeling da content✊🏾💯
Thanks bro.
Ns 10s are legendary for quiet near field accurate mids, rokits for bass, Adams ax my absolute favourite. 👍 😎
The ones I have are the original...They sound like crap but tells me everything I need to know about what's going on in the mix. They are my "honest ones" lol. Yesss! I can't let the Adam A7x go, lol. Thanks for commenting.
Subscribed, bro!!! Great content!!
Thank you Tyler! 🙌🏽
Any thoughts on the m-audios bx8 carbon? I have them myself and really enjoy them and read great reviews about them, but rarely hear them mentioned as top pick. Thoughts? Thanks for all the great content you put out and am very impressed with all your knowledge. Long time viewer, new subscriber! Thanks in advance for answering my question!
I purchased a pair a few years ago to tested them but they lacked the detail I need for mixing and film composing. It’s all opinion and preference you know.
After so many reviews i decided to buy the adam audio t5v and the t10v ,2 weeks ago iwas gonna buy the ax series not aviable in stores all this past months
The T7V is my preferred and goto monitors. Well worth the price
Nice! They are great. I wouldn't trade mine for the world. Thanks for commenting.
It sounds like the T7V’s are better for playback than the HS7’s but the HS7’s are better for a flat mix. Wouldn’t you want the best flat mix for studio speakers? If I’m trying to get nice sounding playback, wouldn’t I just start considering HiFi speakers? Thanks for the video!
GREAT INFO!!! 👍🏼
Thanks Jessie! I try to put out as much valuable information I can!
I have never owned monitors before but I have been saving to purchase my first pair
Judging by the studio setup, I think he's qualified to review 😀
Hey man out of the videos I have been watching your stuff is for sure the most helpful. My GF and I are fresh college grads and final in a place to afford spending on our hobbies. Her real passion is recording and producing music so we have been putting a lot more towards that. Her birthday is coming up so I wanted to get her the next “big thing” she needs to make music. I just built her a PC and a Desk and I’m thinking next should be getting studio monitors. She has a focusrite Scarlett 2i4 gen 2 sound card and cable wise I’m thinking running 1/4 inch to xlr. When it comes to a monitor I’m really feeling the adams. I think having the ability to carry her through the whole music making process is great for the fact we don’t have the space for a listening room. Before this I was going to go with the KRK rokits because I was a sound tech for a theater for 5 years and the KRK V series are what I’m familiar with. But for her the adams sound like the best fit. I was just intrigued by the rokit gen 4 tuning app. But I am just unsure. Can you help me out.
Many Thanks
Hi Matt! That's awesome you and your wife can finally get to your hobbies. The Scarlett is great and that's pretty cool that you worked for a theater with the KRK V. I would say go with what you know in most cases with monitors unless you want to learn something new. That's the key to studio monitors, learning them. The Adam are a little more honest than the KRK Rokits but that's not a bad thing because if you know the KRK, mix translation isn't bad. I hope this helps and good luck with everything!
Hi Archie, thanks for the video, it's really helpful. Can I ask, would you recommend using 8" monitors instead of 5" even if your room's size is small? Thanks in advance!
Great video. I got rid of my HS7 and got the HS8. They are great and got that crisp sound🔥
Niceeeee 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Really bro? Ima about to upgrade from hs7s to hs8s. How does the bass compare
@@TheAdvide Bass is great. But depends on how your room is treated.
@@Pian0M4n would you say the mids and hi’s are the same?
Great review man wow You broke it down so good to us thank you
Thank you. I’m glad this video helped Carlos! Thanks for dropping by.
Best monitor review, ever!
🤩🤯 🔥 WOOOOWWWW!!!! 🔥sooo beautiful to watch! And LOL I’m watching speakers! Your review on each is on point too when I was listening to all the testing you were doing! ✨ You are so gifted! I saw you filming and working on this video! But dammmmmmnnnnn🤯🔥🔥 the final result is just insane! You put it all together perfectly and just simply! Now I’m getting excited! Which ones do you want keep? My gift to you for all your hard work! 😍😏😘 or should I ask the company for the free advertising their getting?! 🤣 😂💡😜

That home studio, I’m tryna get like you! 🔥
Hey Archie, thanks for a super informative video. Based on what you said I'm torn between the PreSonus and the Adam Audio. I produce vocal r&b/pop so vocals are really important for me (hence PreSonus) but I recently started dabbling with mixing so I do want some versatility (hence Adam). Which would you recommend? Also My room is 10x12 ft and my desk is 4 ft wide against a wall with a corner. would 8 inch monitors be overkill? thanks in advance
I really liked your intro music
Sir your reviews are always the best, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Which one is more suitable for orchestral composing in your opinion? Maybe Adam for the amazing tweeter or Yamaha for the flattest response? Thank you 🙏
Flattest monitors out, thats all one needs to know about the Yamaha HS series. Nice review, thanks. I use HS7 for playback paired with HS8S sub.
Gratitude & Appreciation 🔊
Great Video!!! This just made my decision even harder. I'm in between the JBL 308 vs Kali Audio LP-8
Thanks Eric! I'm glad I could help out. Well, I personally know that the JBL 308 are great from testing and I've heard amazing things about the Kali Audio LP-8... I just haven't personally worked on the Kali Audio LP-8 as of yet. Let me know which ones you go with. Thank you for dropping by Eric.
If you can swing them id recommend the Kali IN8's over the LP8's
Presonus eris E 8XT are amazing!! Great video
Yes! I totally agree! Thank you.
Making things easy👍🏾👍🏾perfect
Hey Archie Beatz, thanks for doing all these great videos!! Any plans to do a subwoofer recommendation? Or can you recommend some to consider for use with Yamaha NS10’s? I was looking at the Neumann KH750 but would be very interested to hear your opinion main considerations are that it is sealed box, 10” woofer . Thanks in advance😄
Adam T5V
I'm a civilian now. I've listened to and A/B'd all of these and the ROKIT G4s are next level and hold their own against monitors that are twice the price. 😁
Nice. The Rokits are definitely one of my all time favorites.
Great video Bro! I'm an industry producer and you do know wtf you're talkin about! #salute
OMG you got the new Adam! :) Ordered them, but actually as music listening speakers.... Are the Adam more V-shaped? Can´t wait to hear them myself :D
Nice. As far as V-shaped, are you referring to the elevated bass and low frequencies on the frequency response spectrum? If so, they are pretty flat and a few bumps small bumps throughout the frequency spectrum. They sound amazing Gregor!
@@archiebeatz Zeos on youtube refered to them as abit v-shaped meaning boosted bass and treble, but tbh from most reviews i´ve seen noone complained about bad mids aka vocals. Like you said, should be pretty flat (obv not HS8 lol, but who would like to listen to music on them...)
Hey dude! Loved your video, liked and subscribed! For a young studying musician, with a small room studio running Logic Pro x, what do you think about Yamaha HS7?
Aye man, i really look up to you first of all. Your content way too hard and its inspiring fr seeing artists come up and want to help other better understand the craft. I been goin thru bad situtions w parents and i got kicked out couple times for doing what i love to do which is making music so ive had to sell really the only pieces of equipment i could afford w my old job but now im tight. All i ask is if you could help out in any way possible, aint askin for the whole price, matter of fact if u dont wanna donate but got advice thats great too
Hi Archie, how youre doing? You got me hugely confused on the T7v/T8v. Which one do you use and which one do you recommend the most for home studio use? Thanks.
Archie
Thanks for this. I have a Prism Titan and I am about to ditch my old Mac Pro. What are your imac specs? I run Logic, Pro-Tools, East West and Waves. All the best. Geoff
It would be great if you hear some samson resolv rxa 6 (discontinued) they are true gems they sound as great as adams. Excellent video
Nice. I would love to hear a pair one day. Thank you so much.
What do you mean by the yamaha being the "flattest" monitors? Great video! Loved watching!
Is like u are taping to the beat dope 👍
Subscribed ! What would you reckon for mixing, mastering and use for live (not heavy live) as well, between the krk 7 g4 and hs7 ? Do we still have good bass on the hs7 and is there a hudge diff between the hs7 & hs8. Thanks !
Hey Archie what would you recommend for home studio use for mixing and heavy turntable scratching?
I've been debating on the Focal Twin's and the Adam a77xs. I produce house/pop/trap etc. Was wondering if the extra 800 per pair for the focal's are worth it?
Have you done a video on 3 way monitors?I have a pair of midfield, and love the range, with the 10 inch woofers...
Hey Man, nice video! In your opinion, which one is the best to listen music? Thanks man, regards from Brazil.
Thank you for a very important video
I have music content check me out
Them JBL 308P's gonna be on sale this coming blackfriday for $149 each.
Whoa! That’s going to be nice!
Thinking about getting the KRK
Hey Archie , should i get the Eris e7xt ? (for small bedroom studio ) OR should i get hs5 / rokits g5 / e5 /e5xt ... all are around the same pricing here, even the e7xt which made them my Favourites right now. Thank You !
What about the focus alpha 50, 65 or 80? Have you ever listened to any of those I mentioned?
I Need to get a studio started
I've got the hs8 but i think for casual listening they sound very clean but littlebit boring. Would you recommend a subwoofer or do you have any other monitor recommondation?
better to mix in headphones or studio monitors. I saw it with my friend. Very amazing sound and clear voice
Hi Ramona! It's great to have both. I prefer mixing on monitors along with majority of my professional colleagues. Some do mix on headphones but I find it helpful in my workflow to have both. I hope this helps.
I saw you recommended the Eris E8 XT, but about 1.5 years ago I bought the Eris 4.5 with the tremblor 10in subwoofers, is that good or should I try to upgrade to those E8s?
What's up Anthony? Do you like the sound of the Eris 4.5? If so, the Eris E8 VT are going to blow you away. When listening to vocals will mixing, 300Hz-8K, they give a rare accuracy than most monitors in this price range. I would say go for it. Thanks for dropping by and I hope this helps.
thankyou for the awesome reviews. I have a question so what sort of specs do you look for when your looking for monitors for audio engineering ?
You are welcome and thank you for asking. It's all about what you are looking to do, your budget and what are your listening standards. For me, I approached it as wanting the highest fidelity monitors with a budget of $1,500.. I wanted some that would project clarity and I could also mix with. I went with the Adam A7x after all the research. Also, I added classic Yamaha NS10 and few other music production monitors. I hope this helps in some way.
Genelec 8030C I’m getting these for mixing because I been reading how flats they are ,I also have the Yamaha hs7 what you think
Yes, the Genelec 8030C are amazing. When I do a high end monitor video, Genelec 8030C are definitely going to be mentioned in that video. I think it's a great idea. I hope this helps.
Your studio is velvet beautiful
It's crazy that a monitor can be good for mixing but not mastering... Also, the difference between a speaker whose frequency response extends up to 25khz from a mere 20khz cannot be overstated! That's almost as important as picking a monitor that is rated at 40hz instead of a ridiculous 55hz, am I right? lol.
In all seriousness, you're correct about the importance of spending a little time focusing on acoustic treatment.
You did a nice review. In my opinion in the middle of this price I would buy Monkey banana monitors. Sound much more balanced
For just playing my piano in my room should I get monitors or speakers to amplify the sound, just for listening purposes not mixing any music
Thank you for the info. I create house/dance music, which monitors do you feel would be best suited?
Appreciate you. I’m generating digital music and need speakers that connect via usb but still has awesome production value. Any suggestions?
Hi. Did you get the chance to test presonus e66 ?
For mixing DJ trap, drum code, techno, deep house... would you go for presonus e8 xt or adam audio t8v ? Would you add a subwoofer ? Temblor t10 ? Or something else ? Thx
Great advice. Like the beginner I am I can now stop using my AirPods & car speakers for production 💀💀💀
Why your eyes look high AF ? haha jokes man this was very good informations
Would you recommend any of these monitors for someone who is just using them for PC gaming and listening to music?
U must check the kali audio lp-8 and IN-8 out
Thats rly nice
Awesome. I've heard great things about Kali Audio. I can't wait to get my hands on a pair. Thanks for commenting.
What up my guy, Im sold on getting the Adam TV8 but then said would the 7 suffice.. Other then size, it just about more lower frequency?
Nice. The T8V are awesome and so are the 7s. The only difference is the low frequency projection. But with the T7V you can definitely learn the low frequency and bass response by just spending time listening to them. Thanks for commenting and I hope this helps.
Hello Archie, if we only 1 pair speaker, should we get a hifi speaker like Swans D300 for movie, listening music, and recording as well? Or get monitor speaker for all of those things?
Man, talk about a right on time video! Currently exploring options for studio monitors and then this video pops up. Due to space limitations, 5" monitors are about as large as I can go. Looking at Presonus and Mackie. How have your monitors held up over time? Any problems or issues? I have been seeing quite a few people having issues with Mackie monitors over time.
Hahahaha, I'm glad this video helped bro. My Mackie HR824 held solid for about 8 years but I do extremely heavy session work with 6-8 hours of constant listening at 85dB+.... As far as the presonus, I feel they are more versatile and flatter in many cases. I hope this helps.
@@archiebeatz I greatly appreciate the insight man!
@@archiebeatz would you recommend me the presonus eris 3.5 for a start?
must I say , for trap beats .
thank yoooouuu
You are welcome.

what is best for mixing acoustic tracks
