He poses the question about whether the audience is Old school and then He negates the validity of his own question by lack of concern in the topic He generated in the first place. What exactly was "special" ?How it REALLY works is the promoter "hires" the dj to perform for the paying audience, and the dj has a contractual obligation to act.

Regardless, it was a SHORT trip, boring, at that. His selection has ALWAYS been his weakest link. His attempt to take the listeners on a sonic trip (not some simplistic geographical reminder that engenders the mainstream crowds enthusiasm. His subtle and superficial use of crowd psychology apparently works with the mainstream.
