- This is the oldest house of village Labrang. This house is own by Mathus family. The most interesting thing about this heritage house is that people of this house still lives here . There are so many ancient things which are kept preserved in this house . The exact age of house is not known but the local people says this house and Labrang fort was built almost in same era . There are many similarities between the Labrang fort and this house.
With the passage of time and natural wear and tear these ancient houses doesn’t fulfill our needs. People started abandoning their heritage houses and started living in RCC houses. This is a Matter of concern. People can do renovations and keep them as a legacy but these heritage houses are on the verge of extinction.
Through this video I have given my point of view to conserve our heritage houses.
We need to save our culture and tradition.

Wow, our house is also almost 150 years old. Most of our house is built with wood. There are many structural similarities between this
and my house.
