There's no way that first girl didn't at least do extra steps. Balayage typically has a transition color that's slightly warmer between blonde and dark hair unless you add in a shadow root. And no mention of toner but her ends are silver. Girl either left stuff out or had it fixed.

There's this place called cosmetology school it cost a lot of money but they'll go in depth... honestly if we were to teach everyone how we do every little thing we would be out of a job thats why he only explains enough to help people out who maybe can't afford it or generally doesn't have any knowledge on what kind of products can completely destroy your hair.
Saying you need to go to cosmetology school to learn the basics of dying your hair at home, it's like saying yiu need to go to med school to learn when to take aspirin or vitamin C. Yea I’m pretty confused about the roots too. I had to rewind and rewatch a few times to make sure i didn’t miss something. But I think something else happened that wasn’t filmed.
She used a level 5 ash color to her roots first and then after washing she bleached the bottom. It's shorter at the end because she curled it. I do think she went in with a toner or more bleach and didn't film it.

🚦Ok. We missed something with the first girls process. She went from applying the lightener to medium brown hair to almost black hair with white blonde in the reveal. Somethings not adding up 🤨
Yea I’m pretty confused about the roots too. I had to rewind and rewatch a few times to make sure i didn’t miss something. But I think something else happened that wasn’t filmed.
She used a level 5 ash color to her roots first and then after washing she bleached the bottom. It's shorter at the end because she curled it. I do think she went in with a toner or more bleach and didn't film it.
I'm a hair dresser. She def went to a salon and got it fixed.
