That emphasis on the smallest positive ratio at 11:18 is something a lot of tutorials leave out. The examples I've seen don't exemplify this case as they usually are all positive ratios so I appreciate the clarification.
I've summarized the process below:- Slack variables used should be = number of constraint equations In the standard form, the greater than equal to sign of the constraint becomes just an equal sign. Write objective function such that Z = 0 Table layout is BCRR (Basic variable, coefficients of ‘’, RHS, Ratio) In the table, in the top row (associated with ‘Z’), Find most negative number, associated column is the KEY COLUMN Now do ‘RHS/corresponding key column value’ Check for smallest POSITIVE ratio This gives you KEY ROW So basically first you have key column, then row (remember is as KORO) Intersection of Key column and row gives KEY ELEMENT. Now, we make a new table similar to the earlier one, we want to make sure KEY ELEMENT = 1. So we DIVIDE the KEY ROW by KEY ELEMENT. (don’t do key row/ key row) Using the new key element which is ‘1’, we make sure the entire key column is 0 (apart from the value of key element) The SMART thing that the tutor does is, he makes the key column as 0 (apart from key element) before starting calculation (check minute 15:46 in the video) During this operation you should edit in the layout BCRR (but except the last column named ‘ratio’) Now the key row will leave and be replaced by the key column. (check minute 20:50 in the video) Now if the column with ‘Z’ has no zeroes, then we can stop. Now, check value of ‘RHS’ column for each value, i.e. Z, x2, etc
I watched 2 digit videos to understand this Simplex method... And this guy made me understand without replaying the video.... Thank you for being a teacher. You are the best

You are the best teacher I have come across for this topic and I will be checking out your other videos. Thank you very much, may you continue teaching others. You truly are making a great impact. Best wishes!
Thank you so much. I completed my second year without understanding the Simplex method. I thought I was done with it only to find it again in third year. I came across this video. WOW!!! Thank you so much. You are the best!
I watched it 3 times and spent almost more than one hour and Alhamdulillah finally I got it. Linear is not Linear as it's name 😂, It's very complex 😅. Love from Bangladesh🇧🇩
Thank you sir first of all What shaheem was asking was this it would be R3-> 3R3-5R4 but according to Guass-jordan row operation the coefficient of R3 must be +1 so thats why the 3 is divided instead on the R4
I spent more than 1 hour trying to understand simplex method but your videos makes me understand it simple and clear.
"Smallest positive ratio. Ignore zero and ignore negative ratio." This really save my day! Thanks!
And brother you saved my 25 minutes🙂

Yes ❤
Simplex problems are not that Simple
Iska naam simplex nahi, balke complex hone chahiye tha
But he makes into simple
You are right sir 👏
Right 👍 not essay

I watched it 3 times and spent almost more than one hour and Alhamdulillah finally I got it.
Linear is not Linear as it's name 😂, It's very complex 😅.
Love from Bangladesh🇧🇩
"linear is not linear"😂😂
Can we use decimal instead of fraction for this simplex method??
Hey I just viewed your video n all my doubts got clear in a easiest way tysm
I really love u, greetings from Venezuela.
Amazing concept
Thanks a lot❤

thats so simple sir. thank u so much for the video
I had an issue with the R3-4R2 at first...i didnt know it was that simple💯

Thanks for the video :)
My pleasure!

Is difference if we add slack ( S1,s2..)?
Very Much Perfect!!!
Understanding good 👍😊 CA
thanks a lot
Ever best learning experience..

Great job!
Sir koi sum mai degeneracy prblm aati hai toh konsa row select hoga
Very clear video
Thank you very much sir🎉❤
The correct constraint is x¹, x², s¹, s², s³ >= 0.
Please explain why you consider s1 and s2 positive without mentioning s3???
Wow,this tutorial has made me understand simplex Tableau
For step 1, what if both coefficients are the same negative ( i.e. -1 & -1)
Heart' touching ❤❤
Very interesting lecture
Clearly explained!!!
Very easy method.well explain sir. Thank you so much 💗😚
I watched like 7-8 videos but none of them teached me about the r3-5r4 whatever....
Thank you sir first of all
What shaheem was asking was this it would be
R3-> 3R3-5R4 but according to Guass-jordan row operation the coefficient of R3 must be +1 so thats why the 3 is divided instead on the R4
If it still confuses you, watch any video on row operation method that should clarify what he did
Thanks
Can someone answer why x1 is able to be zero as I thought the constraints say that x1 has to be greater than 0
this is an Amazing explanation. Thank You
Sir plz make a video on two phase method
