I like it. My thoughts, #1 I believe it would be faster if you put the lid on the pot. #2 when I watched you put the pot on, it looked like it was stable. #3 I agree with you on the igniter. The “O” rings… maybe it wasn’t supposed to go with it
Good stove for $40. A knockoff BRS is 10 to 14 for one jet. Must consume butane quickly though...but I bet you can simmer an egg or bacon much better than one jet. Looks to be the same diameter as the isobutane cans ..so any longer ditty bag or old tube sock will hold both together well. The hole in the table I did myself years ago for a Coleman propane bottle top stove. Didn't like the height so I cut a hole in my cook table...drops right in. I approve.
I have no question, I like the stove on it's own. I looks much more stable than when in the hole. Plus the control knob will be much more handy than on the ground. JMO
If it had only 3 extensions to stabilize itself, it would never wobble. It’s strange that the gas line is not long enough to work well with their own table and typical gas canister. Would it make sense for them to make a canister holder underneath the table, or to hang it from the side?
I mean if you have a saw on you with the concave shape of the bottom of the cans you could cut a decent size stick and jam it into the ground underneath the table and sit the can on it
Are all the O rings are to pack around the stove when it is in the table hole, to stop it wabbling ?😉 I like that the pot supports are angled and not horizontal. I guess that this if for the Asian markets, perfect to support a wok. Great for car camping. For those who have not used a wok for camp cooking, it can be much more useful than a flat bottomed pot.

I was thinking the same thing about the O rings. I wonder if they would fit around the nubs that are on th side of the stove and act like spacers or shock absorbers.
when you first showed the table i thought it was for a stove. this is a while back. i went to it's web site and it had the stove shown. so it may have just gone to market now as you said but 2 months ago (or whenever you showed the table) you could get the stove then on it's web site. it even had pictures of how it went in the table.
It will probably work fine with a std coleman bottle top stove as well...if you don't want to buy a new stove and have one. Hole looks just smaller than the size I cut in my own table years ago.
The burner control needs to be on the burner reaching under the table to adjust heat is akward. Also ia they offered a panel with two holes in it it would be appealing as you could have two stoves in one panel.
I was just looking at this stove and wondering if it is worth buying. Too bad it doesn't have any under table mounting to secure the fuel canister or hang the canister upside down (is that advisable for this stove given that it has a preheat tube?). I think for now, I'll just mount a small plastic bag under the hole and use that hole as a small garbage bin.
That radical angle of the legs brings the burner gap higher away from a large pan or pot bottom. Basically the distance from the tip of the leg to the head of the burner is farther away and thus less fuel efficient for boil or cooking time. I like them flat.
Agreed, but small pots or cups tend to jiggle off-center as they boil. Looks like you need to fold them in for a larger pot which means less stability. Neither approach is perfect, so maybe less slant is a good compromise. For $40...bet you could mod it a little with a dremel.
I'm just not a fan of canister stoves...I much prefer alcohol stoves with denatured alcohol or wood stoves. But I have to say, by looking at it, if I were ever going to broaden my horizons, this looks like a great entry model. Not being a dinky little thing caught my eye.
I enjoy your videos & expertise putting them all together. Im recently homebound- no hiking for me. Your beautiful videos take me where my legs can't go. Thank you, keep up the high standards. I love seeing your wife's also.
Especially since I have a very similar-looking stove that comes with adapters, and burns butane, isobutane, and propane with alacrity. They should be able to do it.
Stove wobble is fixable. A piece of wood underneath, to gently support the area, a hammer and a cold chisel, a few taps and you have the drop areas required for keeping the stove from wobbling around. Interesting coffee cup heater if nothing else ! 12 Block Tokie Detroit, Michigan
I would wager the reasoning for the supply of additional O-rings is likely do to less than optimal compound (ie. Questionable re. long term reliability for stove use). It is somewhat commonplace for the various outsourced made in China stoves. As to the stove fit to table senario... going with a bit of wiggle room is likely better for this application vs. tighter fit. That said, design wise, manufacture could still have this fit play without as much wobble by additional index points or having rim-like feature to interface with table cut out.
O ring extras seem to be a recent fad with china offbrands. I just ordered a isobutane fill adapter to refill the small Jetboil cup sized cans for smallcamp. They came with a bunch of extra O rings. I doubt I'll ever need. Oh I had to order 5 for $6 to get one cheap....
I mean if you’re using it outside a sawed flat on one end stick of good enough size would suffice do to the concave shape of the can bottoms just jam it in the ground as plumb as you can and sit the can on it
While I love my Primus Tupike for car camping the rings fall out. I've had to replace mine a couple times. I bet it's much easier to send several 0 rings instead of having to mail to a disgruntled customer.
Obviously not for backpackers. As a camper, I’ve never sat on the ground with all the tics and set up my camp kitchen. I use the picnic table or a countertop in my van. Seems gimmicky. There are better tables out there.
Huh, I was ready to buy this until I heard con after con...they are significant, especially the fit and finish, quality control, and lack of piezo igniter, because you may get one even worse who knows
There is another account that I follow that does glamping they're out of turkey and they use that table it's fascinating to watch these two use that thing they don't use it in everything but I saw them and I went Wait a minute didn't I see you talking about this it's quite the little table
Hey my friendhaven't seen you for well. I can still hear your voice. I can't see you very well. Have cataracts got surgery coming up? So now be able to see you again. Take care of my friend. Say hi to your wife for me.
Off-topic question: how much vertical space is in the main pocket of that 70L Forclaz pack? I have an 18" long tent when packed and want to know if it's tight or if there's room to spare.
It would've been great if you could use propane, having a small refillable tank is nicer. That and the missing igniter. It would be cool if it was included with the table.
A piece of coat hanger wire with a loop between the tank and the valve and a hook will be able to hang it off the bars on the outer edge of the table. This hook will not work if you plan on inverting the canister in the cold.
I like the concept of a stove through the table.

he tests them all without the lid to eliminate that variable and make it a fair test

I think the stove hole will be tighter in extreme cold, perhaps they made it a bit larger to compensate for metal contraction
Ive seen this stove and other brands that Mount into table. Were used inside a large tent.
That is a very interesting table with everything you can do with it. It looked like an interesting product. Thanks for the great reviews you do Luke

Good review Luke . Stove needs a little better quality control.

Nice set up on stove, great video . Thanks for sharing
Seems awkward having the control valve on the ground under the table. It and the fuel canister should clip to the table edge for better access.

Hi Luke! That looks like a dandy little stove! A bit better QC and it would be a must buy. Not at all a bad price!
Hi Luke, Do the o rings fit on the stove table supports to create better fit less wobble?
when you first showed the table i thought it was for a stove. this is a while back. i went to it's web site and it had the stove shown. so it may have just gone to market now as you said but 2 months ago (or whenever you showed the table) you could get the stove then on it's web site. it even had pictures of how it went in the table.

the O ring is for the adjustment valve. I had a stove similar to moonwalker that needs oring replacement due to leakage issue.
The burner control needs to be on the burner reaching under the table to adjust heat is akward. Also ia they offered a panel with two holes in it it would be appealing as you could have two stoves in one panel.
My first thoughts on this type of stove was whats the point? Then the light came on are they for Wok cooking on camp, that would explain the output?
oooh, I like your thinking. A wok would need that firepower
Can you use the liquid butane on this stive with the copper pipe ?
Yep,,do like that!
The supports do line up. They each point at the tip of the next support around the circle rather than the center of the stove.
In my opinion the Optimus crux is the best camping burner
Can you cook on low with that? Simmer? Do you think they will fit the fit? Very nice!

How long does a 16 oz can of ISO butane last approximately?

Is it a way to strap the canister to the underside of the stove?
Decently thick stick saw it flat on one end and jam it in the ground would probably work with the concave can bottoms

think I'd wait on getting this stove
especially for the table
stand-alone might be OK...
Nice looking.
Seeing how this product is obviously meant for overlanding/car camping, I'm surprised it doesn't work with propane.
Use adapters
Also its designed for the asian market so they use butane/isobutane. Propane is less common in asia
Especially since I have a very similar-looking stove that comes with adapters, and burns butane, isobutane, and propane with alacrity. They should be able to do it.
@@LilaHikes😂
@@LilaHikesYou think using a gas adapter is threatening to your life?
Hose needs to be long so you can use smaller canisters.
I asked about that hole. Glad to finally get an answer.
I wonder if the shape of the hole is on purpose and maybe you have to rotate the stove for it to sit correctly? Just a guess, but I am curious.

Flame seems close to tabletop. May be an issue during a long burn?
Nice stove I do believe 😊
Luke, No Price on Amazon.
Can't put it in cart.
That stove is actually the worst shaver in history!

I think, and you shouldn’t have too Is a bush/collar on the stove to stop it moving. Thoughts guys
I would ask the company to send over a replacement table piece with the hole, just to see if that fixes the issue.
I want one but we don’t commonly see the bigger gas bottles in the uk I use the medium on my current burner so would need to rig something!
I mean if you’re using it outside a sawed flat on one end stick of good enough size would suffice do to the concave shape of the can bottoms just jam it in the ground as plumb as you can and sit the can on it
In dryer climates the o rings can dry out and crack.
While I love my Primus Tupike for car camping the rings fall out. I've had to replace mine a couple times. I bet it's much easier to send several 0 rings instead of having to mail to a disgruntled customer.
I think you got a stove that wasn't checked very well in quality control. It seems to be minor issues but there are too many of them.
Why should we believe anything you say after you broke our trust

Ramble soul?
That glamping olynpics level 😮😊
I'll stay with my Colman camp cook top
The hole in the table may be a tiny bit small
The legs looked offset to me for easier storage.
Hint: light your lighter by the stove first then apply fuel. This will save the poof! 👍
Luke could you and Susie do a adventure together soon and could Susie give us her likes and what she don't
Wonder if the extra o-rings accidentally got in there during manufacturing and packaging.
It would boil wood faster if you knew to put the lid on like every tester on RUclips does.
The stove in the picture on Amazon is not the stove you have Luke, 2 different designs, same 3 burners but different designs.
find a can that fits and use the hole as a trash can
😊
4:56 this stove is like an afterburner from a jet...ofc it's gonna cook it fast.
And equally fast it will deplete gas reserve

Going to need a wind shield.
I would bet they send you that many o rings because they are tiny and get lost easily, like when you opened them
There IS a reason they are including o rings. they arent gonna spend money they dont need to spend, thats ridiculous.
I replaced the O ring on my propane stove recently, but the stove is 50 years old. You can buy them at any hardware store for a few cents.

It wobble s 😂😂😂🐦
Well at least it wasn't one tigress. Who would drag this out in the woods really. You gotta be kidding
These "nuts" are legal gun owners
I be this stove was made in China. Just saying.
