What Apple gear would you buy for the cheapest ecosystem? Should I do an Android ecosystem next? 🔥Special thanks to Paperlike! Grab a Paperlike 3: geni.us/GET-PAPERLIKE
I just found this video. To be fair, if you do Android, it would almost absolutely have to be Samsung, not just generic Android. Only Samsung has an ecosystem that could rival Apple. None of the other Android OEMs have that integration to make it a fair "apples to apples" comparison.
Yeah I was like “survive” is a very funny statement 😂 People in terrible countries are making it work with devices a lot worse than the ones mentioned here
I think it's meant in the context of could you do the stuff you do regularly on worse hardware so the survival would be insinuating surviving the downgrade perhaps
@jormjohnXII right, but lets not pretend like base models of modern tech is unusable garbage. In 2025 the base model iphone is leagues above even the highest end iphone 10 years ago
@sufiyaanhaque4175 even I thought the same like me staying in India an excellent condition 11 pro will be available around 15k inr so around 150usd but my question is that the storage of his 11 pro is 512gb so 250 usd doesn’t sound worth it nut not a rip off as well!!
13 Mini for me. I think its taken the crown. It's available for the same price refurbished as the 11 Pro. But with the 12 Pro Max's cameras. Way better battery life and chip efficiency too. I easily close to 6 hours SOT...sometimes even higher. The only phone you ever need.
MacBook Pro M2 + iPhone 13 Pro + Airpods Pro 2 + Apple Watch series 6 This makes a better core ecosystem. AirPods is New and rest refurbished. Avoid ipad, mac pro and apple tv.
my ecosystem is very simple for a senior in high school like me It consists of a iPhone SE 3, Apple Watch SE 3, Airpods Pro 1st gen, and Late 2020 M1 13 inch Macbook Pro - and it totaled out at under 1K, with all items being refurbished/renewed
Great video. I agree with most of what you purchased. M1 Air $300 iPad 10 $200 Applewatch 8 $100 iPhone 13pro $400 This is how my $1000 bucks would've went. All of the products I listed can be found NEW or in like new condition for the prices above.
So glad this came across my feed because of the paper like thing. Video was cool, but I’m way more stoked about trying the paper thing since i use my iPad for note taking in class. 2-3 hours a day writing on this bad boy Monday - Friday hope its worth it. They have pencil grips too which will hopefully help with my hand cramping up on days with 3 classes
specs on the back glass are likely because of sand getting in between the phone and a case it was in, had it before. always clean your case after a beach day, dont underestimate abrasion
A few months ago I was somewhat in the cheap ecosystem with an 11 iMac, AP4 (non ANC), iPhone 15 Plus and a Series 7 watch. Only thing Ive upgraded from that is to a Mac mini M4
tbh i believe that most ppl would be happy with an ecosystem that has an iphone, airpods and a mac or ipad depending on preference and use case, would go with a used/refurbished phone 15,new airpods 4 or 3 and either a refurbished air m1 or a brand new ipad 11th gen
I personally love the iPhone 11 Pro. I had the Max variant when it released and deeply regretted getting a 12 mini the following year because of 5G hype. I now own an iPhone 11 Pro 64GB and LOVE the 5.8” display and it’s my favorite phone to use for mundane tasks when I’m at home. My daily driver continues to be the 15 Pro Max.
I have an XR, I’ve had it for almost 5 years after my dad and sister used it, I am getting the Iphone 17 later this week though. It’s getting bad now and I just need an upgrade and it’ll be better to buy the newest one and have it for another 5 years probably.
The android comparison is valid. I purchased a used galaxy s22+ at the top of this year after the android 7 update I have no idea what happened! I told myself fine I’ll wait for the 17 pro but my gosh that thing was so bad that in the middle of the night in August I couldn’t take it anymore and purchased the iPhone 16 pro. I haven’t looked back since. Actually now I have AirPods Pro2, an Apple Watch and just got myself a MacBook Air m4 for Christmas. I no longer understand the concept of waiting for anything to load.
The M1 Macbook is still a great catch, still very expensive. My fear is the Mac OS support longevity in a 5 years old laptop, and there is no other OS we can use on it different from Intel computers
To be fair, requiring an iPad and a Mac to have an ecosystem is quite "too much". I'd rather have two distinct ecosystems: were one would be enough with a tablet as the "higher" product and one with a computer.
iPhone 6+ iPad Air 3rd(The screen contains bleaching, red spots, and pressed marks on the back) + Apple Pencil 1st Macbook Air M1 AirPod Pro 1st still fully functional
Nice video but Id name it differently. Im currently "surviving" with a XS, Airpods 2Gen and a TCL TV that so happens to have AirPlay. Thats my "ecosystem" right now 😅
Not spending 200 - 375 for a iPad Air m1 or iPad Pro M1 - M2 is wild work ngl. Buying a 7TH GEN is by no means worth buying in 2025 lol, its not even worth being in the video tbh.
Sure, I have iPhone 12 Pro Max, 2012 Mac Mini 16GB 2TB SSD MacOS Sequoia 15.7, 2012 MacBook Pro 15" Retina 16GB 768GB SSD. All look like new and are working perfectly with no problem. They do everything I could need. Browsing, Email, Messaging, Photos, Light Gaming (spent just under $300 USD). Perfect system for me, and shouldn't need to upgrade anything for 2-3 more years at least.
Of course. I buy refurbished Apple gear. These last 3 years I have bought an M1 11" iPad Pro, an iPhone 13 Pro Max, (both given on to family), a 2019 16" Macbook Pro this summer, and this month I got my 2020 12,9" iPad Pro. They all work flawlessly. Also bought an "open box" iPhone 16 Plus., and next I am going to be buying an Apple Watch Ultra 1 or 2...
What Apple gear would you buy for the cheapest ecosystem? Should I do an Android ecosystem next?

Most Expensive Google Ecosytem vs Cheapest Apple Ecosystem
make android :D
I just found this video. To be fair, if you do Android, it would almost absolutely have to be Samsung, not just generic Android. Only Samsung has an ecosystem that could rival Apple. None of the other Android OEMs have that integration to make it a fair "apples to apples" comparison.
"Survive"? Lol first world problems for sure
a great age to live in
Yeah I was like “survive” is a very funny statement 😂
People in terrible countries are making it work with devices a lot worse than the ones mentioned here
@Omar-ih1lz apple tv and apple watch should not be on the same sentence as "survive"
I think it's meant in the context of could you do the stuff you do regularly on worse hardware so the survival would be insinuating surviving the downgrade perhaps
@miGallery-t6r7n we understand the poor choice of word thus the reaction.
Wild how folks act like basic tech is ‘survival mode’. We’ve truly entered peak spoiled era.
a working phone is a necessity at this point you can barely do any job without one
@jormjohnXII right, but lets not pretend like base models of modern tech is unusable garbage. In 2025 the base model iphone is leagues above even the highest end iphone 10 years ago
@lambchops61never said it was bad it's just literally necessary for survival for many people
@jormjohnXIIit’s kinda implied with what you said to the og comment as if a base phone isn’t a working phone.
@lambchops61no that's not what I said
you did get quite ripped off on the 11 pro
@sufiyaanhaque4175 even I thought the same like me staying in India an excellent condition 11 pro will be available around 15k inr so around 150usd but my question is that the storage of his 11 pro is 512gb so 250 usd doesn’t sound worth it nut not a rip off as well!!
It may have cost 10k when new, but still paying 300 for a 12 year old computer is WILD.
well you can literally survive in any smartphone so that statement is kinda funny😂
Selling a bent iPad as a grade A is wild
11 pro is a goated phone. Using it since it's launch in 2019
Crazy how good it is today even compared to the 17 pro’s!
13 Mini for me. I think its taken the crown. It's available for the same price refurbished as the 11 Pro. But with the 12 Pro Max's cameras. Way better battery life and chip efficiency too. I easily close to 6 hours SOT...sometimes even higher. The only phone you ever need.
Im using an xs and it still runs perfectly
@PeteMatheson u got ripped off on the 11 pro tho that much for 2019 phone
i call this setup a luxury and a flex at the same time
desktop was overkill bruh laptop was more than enough
I’ve been surviving my whole life without an Apple ecosystem. Pray for me
Do you at least have a phone and laptop
@bhojaryal1123obviously I have a phone. No laptop, just work one
putting a $40 screen protector on a $90 ipad is wild 7:26
MacBook Pro M2 + iPhone 13 Pro + Airpods Pro 2 + Apple Watch series 6
This makes a better core ecosystem.
AirPods is New and rest refurbished.
Avoid ipad, mac pro and apple tv.
Apple TV is goated though!
exactly what i am saying not every one needs a macbook and not everyone needs an ipad
@THNDERZ I’d recommend much more a MacBook over a Mac, just due to portability
I pad is must
You could get ipad a16 its only £274 here i got it
2:51 shouldn’t tested both phones with the same speed app for testing consistency
14:48 Trying to SURVIVE on budget apple ecosystem yet he uses 17 pro max for listening to music mid video
my ecosystem is very simple for a senior in high school like me
It consists of a iPhone SE 3, Apple Watch SE 3, Airpods Pro 1st gen, and Late 2020 M1 13 inch Macbook Pro - and it totaled out at under 1K, with all items being refurbished/renewed
Enjoying this video Pete
under 1000 is cheap now i guess
Not cheap affordable
I did not need to see that AirPod comparison in 2k. Yikes, clean them ffs.
Subscribed because of this contents! More contents lang this man!🙌
You got a great deal on that 11 Pro! It's beautiful!
I not only survive but thrive on the cheapest apple ecosystem: No apple products!
MacBook price being the same as the iPhone is diabolical
LOVEEE THE 11 Pro. the perfect size, not too small like the mini but certainly not as big as 6.1, 6.3" iPhones.
Subscribed fun to watch ❤️
Thank you for the video
16:03 I know an AI video when I see one
You're right
Should have gone with a
12 Pro 256gb or 12 Pro Max 512gb
instead..
Enjoyed this video, I had a lot of these back when they first came out. I really miss Haptic Touch
10:27 common problem with the legacy 5-9 iPad gen’s. Charging ports were a bit faulty on them.
Great video. I agree with most of what you purchased. M1 Air $300 iPad 10 $200 Applewatch 8 $100 iPhone 13pro $400 This is how my $1000 bucks would've went. All of the products I listed can be found NEW or in like new condition for the prices above.
Thats my exact thoughts and tbf u can switch out apple watch for airpods 4 which are £100 new, each to their own
35 seconds ago... ear tingling...
So glad this came across my feed because of the paper like thing. Video was cool, but I’m way more stoked about trying the paper thing since i use my iPad for note taking in class. 2-3 hours a day writing on this bad boy Monday - Friday hope its worth it. Should’ve got an iPhone 12 or 13. Will have more software support and most people don’t care about pro features
SURVIVE? THATS MORE THAN WHAT I HAVE NOW
11:06 so you got yourself an Apple Pencil Pro that you didn’t even want to use before getting your daughter a cheap stylus off Amazon 😅
specs on the back glass are likely because of sand getting in between the phone and a case it was in, had it before. always clean your case after a beach day, dont underestimate abrasion
Excellent video showing you don’t have to spend a lot of money to enjoy the Apple ecosystem. Android next?
Great and interesting video! Thank you man!
Thanks so much!
A few months ago I was somewhat in the cheap ecosystem with an 11 iMac, AP4 (non ANC), iPhone 15 Plus and a Series 7 watch. Only thing Ive upgraded from that is to a Mac mini M4
11 pro? At least can get a 13 or 13mini which'll be better lol
13 mini was awesome 👌🏼
@PeteMatheson *is
It's funny that u r also using the iPhone17 pro max which is like the most expensive iPhone lol
The 11pro is one of the most beautiful smartphones ever made
Make apple cheap but latest product
I think you can squeeze a 13 for a drastically better difference and future proofing
you easily could have ditched the desktop and put the money towards a higher spec laptop
2:20
No one remembers the 6S having 3d touch?
No, you can't survive. You'd literally die from not consooming latest Apple product. Everyone knows this.
That wasn't the first phone to have haptic touch, it was the xr. Good video though. You earned a new subscriber
tbh i believe that most ppl would be happy with an ecosystem that has an iphone, airpods and a mac or ipad depending on preference and use case, would go with a used/refurbished phone 15,new airpods 4 or 3 and either a refurbished air m1 or a brand new ipad 11th gen
You can easily check if the AirPods are real or not from its version
I personally love the iPhone 11 Pro. I had the Max variant when it released and deeply regretted getting a 12 mini the following year because of 5G hype. I now own an iPhone 11 Pro 64GB and LOVE the 5.8” display and it’s my favorite phone to use for mundane tasks when I’m at home.
My daily driver continues to be the 15 Pro Max.
Dude I am using my pixel 6 pro a 4 year old flagship phone and happy to report that there is none shutter lag and anything close to it
you should’ve gotten the iphone 12 that still gets updates and is probably cheaper
Still using the iPhone 11 pro. It does what I need. I have a 12 also not thinking about changing anytime soon.
11 Pro is such a good phone especially for the money!
Loved this. Now Android please
Yeah…£95 iPad, £30 film to put on it.
I would thrive with those let alone survive lol.
Seems like the video Austin Evans did not too long ago, nice :3
Vaas from farcry 3 doing tech review no offense loved your video just when i played this video vaas came to my mind ❤😂
I have an XR, I’ve had it for almost 5 years after my dad and sister used it, I am getting the Iphone 17 later this week though. It’s getting bad now and I just need an upgrade and it’ll be better to buy the newest one and have it for another 5 years probably.
"Need can be a funny word" -Technology Connections
Where are you buying these things
Do it in 2000 plz
@6:30 That’s insane that someone would send you a bent iPad. It looks as bad as the iPhone 6 that DID bend.
If you really wanted a base Apple Ecosystem it's $2040.50, new at least with a Mac mini, iPad, iphone 16e, Watch SE and Airpods 4
Your so out of this world HAHAHA this is considered luxury for most of us earthlings
Next: buy all cheapest current selling offerings of apple. 16R, Mac M2, Watch SE,
Blud really just leaked his address 4:05
The android comparison is valid. I purchased a used galaxy s22+ at the top of this year after the android 7 update I have no idea what happened! I told myself fine I’ll wait for the 17 pro but my gosh that thing was so bad that in the middle of the night in August I couldn’t take it anymore and purchased the iPhone 16 pro. In my Country u can easily get a 12 pro refurbished for 250
Crazy ngl
Using 12 lrom last 4year and will continue using it till it dies
2:55 I know I'm nitpicking but you should probably do the same test on both phones to keep it fair (ookla vs google)
Yo @PeteMatheson what phone you had before the iPhone 17 pro? Do you upgrade every year or every 2 to 4 years or more?
I have iPhone 15, MacBook Air m2, iPad Pro 11 inch (3rd generation), Apple Watch Series 7, and AirPods Pro 1
Please what is the name of your grey mousepad or whatever it is called ?
The M1 Macbook is still a great catch, still very expensive. My fear is the Mac OS support longevity in a 5 years old laptop, and there is no other OS we can use on it different from Intel computers
I’m planning to get a MacBook so How many years of updates left for MacBook M1 ?it will useful to me to make a decision on what model I can purchase
Bro is doxed himself showing the maps app
11:28 what about the a16 11th gen iPad 😔
Watching on an xr
UK is so expensive💔
To be fair, requiring an iPad and a Mac to have an ecosystem is quite "too much". I'd rather have two distinct ecosystems: were one would be enough with a tablet as the "higher" product and one with a computer.
that $265 phone isn't 5G
what was the conclusion????
Iphone 11 pro not good
Better with
Iphone 13 mini or iphone 14
U coulda gotten a straight talk iPhone 13 for $200 from Walmart
5:16 i tested my s9 (from 7 years ago) and it doesnt really do that for me
dont know uks market, but here for that kind of money you could very easily gotten at least iphone 13....
survive, really 😂 the only thing I have is my iPhone x😅
@haa.sssaan iphone x in 2026 is wild
@littlefire_01wild really ? It’s a flex to me😅
iPhone 6+
iPad Air 3rd(The screen contains bleaching, red spots, and pressed marks on the back) + Apple Pencil 1st
Macbook Air M1
AirPod Pro 1st
still fully functional
Nice video but Id name it differently. Im currently "surviving" with a XS, Airpods 2Gen and a TCL TV that so happens to have AirPlay. Thats my "ecosystem" right now 😅
Hay gente que tiene celulares con 1gb de ram y 16gb de almacenamiento y lo usan todos los dias…
I use a iPad a16 AirPod 3rd gens and iPhone 12 Pro Max
Not spending 200 - 375 for a iPad Air m1 or iPad Pro M1 - M2 is wild work ngl. Buying a 7TH GEN is by no means worth buying in 2025 lol, its not even worth being in the video tbh.
Samsung ecosystem please!!!!
I know it’s for the video but what is the actual purpose of the iPad of you know u gonna add a keyboard to it
Sure, I have iPhone 12 Pro Max, 2012 Mac Mini 16GB 2TB SSD MacOS Sequoia 15.7, 2012 MacBook Pro 15" Retina 16GB 768GB SSD. All look like new and are working perfectly with no problem. No apple sock? 🤔
Of course. I buy refurbished Apple gear. These last 3 years I have bought an M1 11" iPad Pro, an iPhone 13 Pro Max, (both given on to family), a 2019 16" Macbook Pro this summer, and this month I got my 2020 12,9" iPad Pro.
