A demo of this that 1) Doesn't ignore the 60s organ sims, And, 2) Doesn't spend 97% of the demo on the Hammond organ sounds... ...A breath of fresh air! thank you!
great demo. i bought one yesterday and think its great. the clavs and the brass were a bit thin for my taste but everything else was great!! thanx for the post!
@obras You can play synth samples on the E3, but it doesn't offer any controll over the sound. So if that isn't a problem you could use a synth sample for your leads, but if you want to be able to alter the sound in any way you'll have to use another keyboard for that.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed this demo video. We were actually running the Electro 3 directly into our Sony HD camcorder, so the sound you hear is the direct output of the Nord. We used a Yamaha portable PA for monitoring. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
Yes, Chris is using the piano sustain pedal during that first section of playing. The sustain pedal causes the notes he plays to continue to ring out, even after he releases the keys. Please contact me with any other questions or concerns. - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
Hello: I'd like to know if the electro 3 has any lead synth sound. It looks like the hammond and piano sounds are great, but I also need some synth sounds to play them live. Thank you in advance for you answer!
Hi, Thanks for your interest in Kraft Music and the Nord Electro 3. The Nord Electro 3 focuses on acoustic piano, electric piano, and organ sounds and does not have a synth section. You may want to look at the Nord Stage. Thanks again! - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
Hi, Thanks for your interest in Kraft Music and the Nord Electro 3. The Nord Electro features an organ or synth style action, and is not weighted like a piano. The Electro 3 is available in a 61 or 73 key configuration. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
@obras look at some of the discontinued nord products, they have some sick syth stuff man, combine it with a moogerfooger and boom your kickin back plus its cheep too, Craigslist/eBay :P, and producing some sick tracks, i have a question about this keyboard as well, is the Hammond Tone-wheel system from the C1 or the C2, and... i was wondering if they are movable like on the Hammond kx3c
Yes, the Nord Electro 3 61 has the same action as the Nord Electro 3 73. The only exception is the Nord Electro 3 HP, which features a 73 key, weighted hammer action. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
Sorry, Nord does not produce an 88 key version of the electro. The next best thing would be a Nord Piano, although you'd lose the organ section. Or, for considerably more money you could step up the the Nord Stage 88 EX. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
Does anyone know how to put a music box sound on the Nord electro? I have searched Nords audio library for this sound and come up empty handed. Any other way to find such sound sample to upload? Thanks
Easily done! Just take the audio outputs of the Nord and plug into the inputs of the K10 speakers. Thanks for watching! - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
Yes, you can connect a single sustain pedal to the Electro 3. You can also connect a volume/expression pedal and a single footswitch (to control rotary speaker speed). Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
Hi, Like most professional stage pianos and performance keyboards, the Nord Electro 3 does not feature built-in speakers. You'll need to connect the instrument to a keyboard amp, powered speaker, or PA system. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
I'd recommend Yamaha DXR10 speakers,Mackie SRM450, or QSC K10s. These would give you excellent sound quality in a portable package. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368

Man, I want one! It may be the best keyboard I've seen! I gotta get one of those...
Nice Demo. The Vox Continental modulation is awesome!

great demo! thanks for posting. can you please have chris demo the nord lead 2x?
Very nice demo ! What type of external speakers are you suggesting ? Best compromise between sound quality and transportability . Thank you
@obras Is does have synth sounds. But they're just presets, maybe 5 pads and 5 leads. And you can't edit them. But it is still something.

I'd like to know if this model has the piano style" weighted" keys or is the action similar to a Hammond organ? Thanks in advance.

The vox continental was made famous by THE DOORS! Not the no names you attempted to name...
