So glad to see you playing CoS! It's pretty complicated for beginners so I'll try to explain the basics! The little house on the bottom left of your screen shows how safe you are from some things, orange means you aren't super safe, yellowish green means you're safe enough for some things to work, and bright green means you're safe from basically anything like the volcano event, the cold and etc. F is to glide, it helps regenerate stamina while you're in the air. Sitting or laying down heals poison, bleed and other abilities that other creatures can inflict on you Types of creatures: Semi aquatic, things like kens, liz and other creatures can go in land and water, they do not die from going into the water in the winter due to being a semi aquatic. Fliers, the creature you're playing, and many others, are fliers, they can fly, it helps with escaping creatures like kens, Gram or almost any creature trying to un-alive you. All terrain, these guys can go anywhere, they can walk, fly and swim. Gliders, These guys are like fliers but they can only glide, sometimes all terrain gliders exist, which is just all terrain but they glide instead of fly. Terrestrials/Land creatures, these guys can go on only land, but sometimes the land creatures can be some of the biggest creatures (Boreal Warden for example) Now we'll talk about different kinds of creatures (Stuff like the wardens and limiteds) The wardens are some of the most expensive creatures of all time in CoS (Most of the time at least) and they are some of the hardest to get due to only coming out on holidays for a limited time. Limiteds are basically creatures who are in the limited gacha, they will stay there for a few months before going off-sale in the gacha, the only way to get them other then the gacha is trading. Dev creatures, these creatures are for the devs, they are super hard to get since you need a dev to trade you one, but it can be worth it. RUclipsr creatures, this creature, since there's only one, can be given to youtubers if they make enough content on the game, if I remember correctly, you get 20 of this creature per-month. The little green thing by your stamina bar is what you eat, it changes depending what creature you may be, so look out for that! (Sorry if I got any of this info wrong, I haven't played in a long time and haven't checked the discord server for what updates happened)
Hi, Abby! I'm gonna put some explanations and some quick tips that I tried to summarize if you want them! *Eye Plants*: Scattered across the map due to the *Halloween Event*. As you can see the Halloween Event adds Wisps into the game to collect and get creatures and plushies limited to this event. Soon there will be a boss battle added that drops more wisps. *Eldering*: Increases creature size by 10%, increases creature weight by 15%, increases walk speed by 10%, increases maximum health by 5%, and decreases the food/water meter going down by 30% meaning you eat less often, however it decreases your turn rate meaning you turn slower, your health and stamina regenerate 30% flower, and your run speed is decreased by 20%. This is usually not recommended. Another thing is on PC if you press F while flying you'll glide in which you'll regrow stamina, however this only works for fliers. If you're on a glider (such as kiiwin or phyremia) you'll stop gliding, and it does nothing for aquatics/semi-aquatics/terrestrials. Speaking of the different types, there's several types of terrain dwelling creatures: Terrestrials (Only can go on land, drown in water and can't fly) Semi-Aquatics (Can go in the land and the water. Can't fly) Aquatics (Can only be in the water, start dying on land and can't fly) Gliders (Can sort of fly but it takes a bit of stamina and if you don't have stamina you can't take off. Since a lot of people told you most of the stuff, I get you some PvP tips instead In the air ALWAYS use glide, unless your trying to escape, chase someone or regain speed. Also try to save stamina in case you flee, and If you have a breath, spam it by pressing c as an adult multiple times, this does more damage and adds more debuffs (blurred vision, burn, energy sap, paralysis etc) you can also try grabbing on the tail or wing since some players won't know how to get you off while your out of the hit box, you may also use abilities by pressing Q like area escape for aeries, but if you have earthquake, only use it when you have to flee as it will decrease your damage by 50 percent, you can use it as an escape method by using it to break players bones and flee
Seeing you play this is really interesting because with the intentions in this game its really confusing but its really nice to see someone elses view because they can look unfriendly but really in irl its just super cute and nice
I can give you some tips to get new creatures, you can do missions, so you get shooms, with shooms you can buy creatures at the gachas(it's completely random what creature you're getting) creatures are classified on terrestrians, fliers, aquatics, semi-aquatics, gliders(are considered terrestrians), bleeders, toxics, and a lot of other things the creatures at the whisp store are from the halloween event, they will only be there untill halloween event ends, but you can still get them at trade realm some creatures that are easy to get and I reccomend: sochuri, euvias, koryser, ikoran, nymphasuchus, pero from the whisp store, I reccomend undoli and viraniar(aka spooder), they're not very strong but they are really fun to play as the eyeballs things are from the halloween event if you're not aquatic or semi-aquatic, you can drown by staying at the water without stamina you can glide to regain stamina while flying I reccomend playing as an omnivore DONT eat rotten meat! it can give you damage, thirst and sickness I reccomend playing as bleeders, they give bleed by bitting their enymies, and the blees status makes whoever get bitten by a bleeder take damage every time they move, if someone gives you bleed, heal it fast as possible burn makes you take damage every 3 secconds, heal it fast as possible you can roll in mud to heal bleed, poison, burn and hide your scent fire breath gives you burn, acid and haunt breath gives you poison, lightning breath eletrizes you, rock breath can give you bone break, energy and glacial breath can slow you, sand and gold breath can blind your vision for 3 secconds not all creatures have abilities if you have breath, dont over-use it! when the breath bar turns pink/red, stop using the breath!

Oh cool! I played this game since the beta,i don't remember much since i quit about 5 months ago, but from what I've seen it's still pretty much the same.
Apparently the game doesn't give you rewards if you die with anything lower than C score, but a C score isn't great either to be honest. They never really tried to at least add a small reward if you get a D score. (Which is kinda sad tbh)
Well i'm happy that you Play this game and i will introduce you to the event As you see you can buy things for wisps and all i wanna say is to you need HARD MODE flyin from volcano on tundra to the Like next to the oasis
some useful controls if you press k it will bring up a little quick menu to see your creature stats etc r and y are to sit and lay if you press f you will start gliding when already flying if you press q or e it tilts you in different directions when gliding only when gliding though 1 2 3 and 4 are all creature calls pressing e as you know lets you eat/ drink but it also lets you pick up creatures in your carriable list (list is viewable on cos wiki) pressing t will let you carry/drop food pressing b will let you place a nest/food storage pressing h lets you sniff holding n will do the rolling in mud animation but if standing in mud holding n will hide your scent z and x are emotes pressing m opens a map c lets you use a breath based ability but only breath based also pretty sure q is also the button to use the creature ability if said creature has an ability but i do not know lol still figuring that one out

All the controls that I can remember off the top of my head (Pressing 1 will make you broadcast/call) (pressing 2 will make you do a friendly Call) (3 is aggressive) (Pressing R Will make you lay down) (and pressing Y will make you sleep) (pressing Z will make you do an aggressive stance) (pressing X will make you cower/Showing you’re scared or Showing respect. if you just press it a lot of times it’s like crouching in Minecraft😂) (B is nest) (and I think N is rolling around mud but it shows up so) if you can remember this you don’t need to use the control wheel which can Probably be very annoying in stressful situations😅😊❤
The Hyperthormia thingy (dunno if I spelled it right.) You only get it when your swimming in water in winter! But if your a semi-quatic you can breather underwater and you dont get Hyperthormia!

Hello! I’m new to your channel and It seems you enjoy creatures of Sonaria. I reccomend you trying Griffin’s Destiny which the same Developers(?) have recently created and released. There’s not much survival in It, however its flying mechanism are so satisfying and have almost end less ways of costimization. Please give It a try! Thank you C:
This is a really fun game! Altho, i did quit the game as its too much of a time consumer and requires too much grinding for one creature. Overall, it's really good!
If you want to by a new creature you can go to menu and at the bottom of you screen it should say creatures click on that and if you have 85 mushrooms then you can buy a capsule and open it to get a new creature
Some tips for beginners: Click the buy creatures button to get new creatures Or as I like to call it G A M B L E. oasis is hell oasis is hell oasis is hell oasis is hell You can get some creatures form mission, robux shop and others Get away form carnivores and omnivores Grind all day to get epic creatures Do missions

That meter up there is like how cold you are. If you are not aquatic in any way, you will always have Hypothermia.

If you want to by a new creature you can go to menu and at the bottom of you screen it should say creatures click on that and if you have 85 mushrooms then you can buy a capsule and open it to get a new creature
