      An awful lot of this is demonic .CHRIST said in The gospel of JOHN chapter 8 the devil is a liar the father of.all lies and a deceiver.The apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians chapter 11 ,Satan. Manifests himself as an angel of light..these things will increase in number as the return of CHRIST gets closer. I was into all this as a young man I was a member of the British UFO association a subscriber to the magazine flying saucer review (still going today ).loads of books.ect ect. But I was taken in to a church where I repented received CHRISTS Pardon for sin became born again christian free from the devil's. clutches.

    2 years ago we were sitting around the dinning table. Five family members. There is a storage loft in the garage and it has plastic storage containers stacked up there. BAM, we all hear a thunderous crash in the garage. We went out and found one of these plastic containers on the garage floor spilled all over. We felt compelled to go through it to see what was inside. We could not determine what made it fall from the loft. I came upon a letter dated 71 years earlier from my deceased mother who knew she was dying, it was to me when I was 3. I guess she wanted me to read it again for my daughter who didn't know it even existed. By the way, my daughter looks exactly like my mother. She has been talking about it ever since.

      This simply sounds like a perfect exemplar of Jung’s theory of Synchronicity. He defined this thusly: *the coincidence in time of two or more causally unrelated events which have the same meaning* . In other words, for sceptics of the paranormal, this explanation can step into the breach!

    I very much liked Nick Cook's take on the subject; I'll have to read the books. I've met Russell Targ and Uri Geller myself, and seen Uri spoon bending with my eves 12" from the spoon....I bought his book at the signing.
    Then that evening I was explaining the encounter that afternoon to a group of interested friends, while one arch skeptic was maundering on about how Geller "is just a clever prestidigitator' when the house owner went downstairs to make some tea.
    When he returned he was chuckling...he told us he'd had to open a new packet of tea, and inside it had found a 'tea card'.
    This was in 1984/5....I'd not seen a T card for probably decades.
    He showed us the picture...it was almost the identical photo of Uri Geller holding up a bent spoon at eye level, as on the cover of the book!
    Nice 'synchronicity' eh?

    6:45 Blimey. Nick's quote of his Wife regarding her experience is the mostly clearly enunciated description of an experience I had, when my lungs filled with water during a (very) near drowning event. The all-encompassing love part in particular. The reason I was such a bad swimmer in the first place was that the worst death I could imagine as a child was drowning, and I was always scared of deep water. Despite that fear, when I lagged behind my brother and friends during a midnight swim from a small boat back to the lake-shore, only 50 feet away, I was completely calm and unafraid as I realised that my legs were unable to kick anymore, they felt like lead. I was making figures-of-eight with my hands to stay afloat, but I felt my arms rapidly tiring too. I remember coolly working out that my brother, the nearest of my group to me, was still too far to make it back to help me, so there was little point in alarming anyone, and allowed myself to slip silently beneath the water, and didn't even hold my breath, just took in water straight away. That's when I began to see colours. Every colour I can imagine all at once, and I felt this incredible, all-encompassing love - just as Nick's Wife described - and I KNEW that all was as it should be, and there was nothing to fear.
    That feeling was then replaced by searing pain in my scalp. My brother had happened to look back at me, knowing my lack of swimming ability, just as I went under, and he swam as hard as he could to reach that spot. He told me later that he dove twice and couldn't see any sign of me, but tried again and saw a part of me silhouetted against the moonlight, grabbed my hair and pulled me to the surface. Once above the surface and with him towing me I started coughing up the water, and when we near the shore a friend, who had seen the panicked splashing of my brother, brought out the windsurf board we had with us, for me to hang on to as a float. Unfortunately, the pointy end smashed me in the mouth and split my lip. I have to shamefully admit that I wasn't very gracious about getting my life saved, standing there with water and blood pouring out of me.

      @whitneyvise7911 2 года назад +4

      Thank you for sharing that - what an experience! If you'd been taught the ironically-named "dead man's float," you probably wouldn't have almost drowned. But you also wouldn't have experienced the NDE.
      It seems most folks aren't that thrilled about being brought back, at least initially. But being given a split lip was just adding insult to injury. Life is a gift, so they say, but man, it's a painful gift sometimes.

    My UFO experience in 1974 I never shared with anyone, until an ophthalmologist asked me on examination of the retina four months later. He said, "I'm serious. Please tell me the truth. Have you had an encounter with an UFO?" Another part of the experience was the total change of what we call distance and time. After the encounter it was 15 minutes later I arrived a "normal" 1 hour beyond, already home.
    Also, given my profession, I have stood with well over 500 individuals as they made the transition to their next life. That included sharing in the visuals, the communications and the environmental situations.
    These things are not a matter of belief or imagination. It's simply what happened.
    Mr. Cook's discussion is so dynamic in combining the consciousness elements of all such experiences. Also, Dr. Mishlove's mention of Ted Owens points toward another subject I use regularly - Ted's hypnotic training class, which I recorded from the book, "The PK Man."

      Than checkout the Ufos over Turkey replete with occupants circa 2004-2009.These are the Zeateans whose spacecraft was drawn by abductee Betty Hill in 1963,with stunning accuracy.
      Than checkout Contactee Stan Romaneks photos of his genetically linked hybrid daughter, and the biological robotic creature responsible for his abductionsThese robots were programmed by the Creator species the Insectalins.He also has numerous photos of UFO,s corroborated by many witnesses.See Alien Abduction researcher Dr David Jacobs.
      Finally contactee Billy Meier has some amazing photographs of the Pleadians Beamships,with a call to arms to stop destroying the ozone layer.
      Funny thing was,the Pleadians never mentioned in 1975 the coming climate crisis or rising sea levels.
      My theory is Mr Meier needed to turn himself into a bankable new age GURU,& this is why no new photos or visitations occurred after 1976,although he of course claims the opposite.

      @@richardconner5880 Thank you so much for your reply! I am honored to receive such information from someone with your background. My reply to your reply took some time because I wanted to seriously investigate all of the things you mentioned. Something that was very funny was the couple of times that I clicked on a link and got a "blocked" page! These were related to the Zeateans and Stan Romanek's photos. However, many of the photos and some films on RUclips well represent my own escapades.
      As I mentioned in my comment my experiences are not based on belief but merely on actual encounter.
      The limited frequencies of all sensory mechanisms in the human being are further influenced by the such things as the dominant hemisphere and the prefrontal and temporal lobes. When one goes beyond the "brain" to consciousness those frequencies are increased and expand the limits of experience. And "science," being a major element of healthcare, is so very limited in "truth." My readings by Rolf Sattler (and his appearances on New Thinking Allowed) have enhanced the concepts I have carried for years. Thanks for your input!

    • @JamesSheffer
      @JamesSheffer 2 года назад +2

      @@rp_npc Here is a quote from his medical report:
      "There is a disc diameter sized essentially a hole which goes I would expect just about down to the sclera, and which has retina drawn into it resulting in horizontal folds in the retina and choroid over the macula going toward the disc. The exact etiology of this hole would be unclear. The vitreous looks quite good over it. Patient has no history of acutely clouded vision that would be compatible with chorioretinitis with vitritis which would be most common with something like this."
      He also told me that there would be no laser-type of equipment on this earth that would be able to cause a hole with those same qualities. At one point in later time another ophthalmologist gave a diagnosis of toxoplasmosis chorioretinitis. I insisted on a test from Mayo Clinic, Rochester for TOXOPLASMA AB IGG,IGM. It came back totally NEGATIVE.

      To assert something doesn’t make it true. In fact, I would suggest that those who merely assert without credible evidence, are simply betraying their own doubt in the very thing they are asserting, for as Pirsig wisely noted: *You are never dedicated to something you have complete confidence in. No one is fanatically shouting that the sun is going to rise tomorrow. They know it's going to rise tomorrow. When people are fanatically dedicated to political or religious faiths or any other kinds of dogmas or goals, it's always because these dogmas or goals are in doubt.* In other words, if you are going to reach for an ‘extraordinary claim’ then, a la Carl Sagan, you’d better have some pretty extraordinary evidence to back it up. As to the Universe being ‘conscious’? Well, it’s a spooky, comforting little thought but there are many who would counter such a claim with something we have a little more evidence for, that is the Universe as a vast, bleak, cold, Godless expanse of space/time. I would suggest *that* claim to be the one that fits not only the objective evidence, but also the direct experience of the majority of humanity if they were brutally honest with themselves.

      @@titteryenot4524 That's pretty sound. How about consciousness being beyond the universe, space and time?

    • @josephstanick8395
      @josephstanick8395 2 года назад +5

      Let me throw in my 2 cents. Consciousness is one of those topics that intrigues and overwhelms me at the same time. Do I have a definitive answer? Not even close. The best I can do is give a simplistic view of the topic.
      The most straight forward approach to consciousness is the materialist approach. In this approach it’s the brain that gives rise to consciousness. Consciousness requires brain functions to be present and to be in various states of activity and/or inactivity. This view puts forward that qualia and emotions are just byproducts of the brain. Our perception of being aware comes from the brain and is the end result of a long evolutionary process to help us survive. Therefore, a physical world and a brain are required for consciousness to exist. Consciousness is emergent from the physical world and therefore not immaterial.
      A more subtle approach to consciousness is that of the dualists. In the dualist perspective consciousness is distinct and separate from the brain/body. Consciousness is immaterial while the physical body is material. This is the approach that Rene Descartes took, that mental phenomena is non-physical and exists outside of material reality. Citgo, ergo sum. “I think, therefore I am.”
      An approach to consciousness that is immaterial is that of the idealists. The classic perspective of the idealists is that objects only exist to the extent that they are perceived by someone. A major proponent of this approach is George Berkeley. Esse est percipi. “To be is to be perceived.” Each one of these perspectives can be chased down bottomless rabbit holes coming up with many subtle variations.
      In quantum physics there is the “Double Slit Experiment” where an electron behaves like a wave when it is unobserved and a particle when observed. The act of consciously observing causes the sub atomic world to modify its behavior.
      Let me conclude with a quote from Max Planck one of the greatest quantum physicists ever. "I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness."

    I am four years into my mediumship education. At the end of the first year during a development circle I encountered an energy I had never encountered. I can only describe it as alien in nature. It unsettled me so much I left mediumship and decided to pursue purely psychic work instead. I assumed that studying with men who I would assume to be more rational I could escape the ‘fringe fantasy’ type personalities I had found amongst some developing mediums.
    I found myself studying with Lyn Buchanan and reading the works of his contemporaries like Joseph McMoneagle. Wow - It was much worse.
    It seems all the men that I was now studying had had direct experience with UFOs or alien intelligence of some kind; there was simply no getting around the topic, it seems inherent to a thorough exploration of altered states of consciousness. It’s gonna come up.
    As someone committed to this path, I can see why governments have kept a lid on ETs in general, these experiences shake sensitive people to their cores. Confusing ET and physical phenomena and afterlife consciousness if only intellectually can be mind bending even for those prepared for or experienced in just on of those domains.
    In terms of disclosing findings: If the polarity of the 2016 US election highlighted what members of each party considered to be ‘sacred’ and looking at the current fallout from that division, I can’t imagine the symbolic effects full disclosure might have in the US when commingled with ingrained religious notions of an afterlife.
    Mediumship is real. UAPs are real. In a sense UAPs are now ‘more real’ because of legitimization of filmed images in broad daylight and testimony by officials, and yet a large minority of the population cannot accept what is being testified to. Mediumship finds less acceptance. Equating these two fringe facts has the power to overwhelm emotionally and short circuit most of us mentally. Either fact can shut many people down.
    Personally I’m open to wonder and curiosity, but when trying to make headway with a rational empirical approach, I find myself interested in both but needing to keep them separate.
    Nevertheless, I would love to know if anyone with strong clairvoyant skills has been invited to examine and report on the contents of area 51. I read of Ingo’s experiences in PENETRATION but wonder if examination of objects via psychometry has been attempted.
    The coldness I felt from contact with a presumed alien intelligence I put down to simply a lack of human warmth I was used to during such contacts. Telepathy and blending requires common experiential ground by definition. Perhaps if there is not enough commonality the link drops. I know I dropped mine out of fear, but perhaps a medium or shaman with wider experience could continue such a link.

    Kenneth Arnold is a great example of how this information is presented/represented. I've known about Kenneth Arnold since I was in grade school. It's in just about every book on the subject. What I only learned a few years ago was that Kenneth Arnold experienced a range of the infamous 'High Strangeness'. He was even connected to the Maury Island incident, he experienced MIB and all sort of bizarre and frightening things. Yet this other information is almost never given when anyone writes about Arnold's seeing the discs over the mountain, while piloting his plane. Mr Cook is refreshingly open minded on the subject, makes plain how people frequently refuse to acknowledge the 'High Strangeness' aspect of the UFO/abduction phenomena, simply because it doesn't conform to their pet beliefs. He seems like he's still getting his feet wet with the subject, and has read Vallee, Keel and Terence McKenna, but doesn't acknowledge these sources. Still, it's good to have someone else bring these things to peoples' attention.

  • @lucidf8
    @lucidf8 2 года назад +11

    High strangeness, a difficult topic to converse about. If you haven’t experienced it, it’s like trying to describe a color to someone who has never seen color before. Rational rules and logic don’t apply to what is essentially perceptual or experiential and beyond normal in nature. Strange things do occur, and as you say, when they align with some purpose. I think that purpose, is sometimes just a knock at the door. To let you know that something outside of normal exists, is very real, and can directly effect you and the way you think. Think of it as an adventure, not entirely within your control, but if you bother to look, you may just get a peek or two behind the curtain that obscures our understanding of those unknown aspects of the universe and our shared reality. Good hunting to all.

    For my own part, conversations as to what's focused on here was certainly on my own virtual vision board :) so thank you for this.
    Attempting to remain largely asymptomatic of the many narratives springing up, it's refreshing to hear "high strangeness" and "signs and wonders" being described here as a kind of perceptual "overlap" of liminal sensitivity - along with the same reflexively reflective synchronicitous primacy present in any perceptual state that allows for it.

In France a book on the subject of UFOs and Consciousness came out around 2015 and exposed almost the same kind of ideas regarding its relationship with other realm of existence (death). The book is OVNI et CONSCIENCE. Our understanding of consciousness as to be way greater to understand what the UFO phenomenon is about

    This link between UFOs and consciousness has been explored in a French co authored book named ovnis et conscience many years ago.Nuts and bolts ufologists were unable to accept it's conclusion.There is a chapter on chamanism and hayahusca.A French physic specialist j.p. Petit even put forward a theory explaining the paranormal realm by introducing imaginary numbers in the Charles Hermitte space equations.

    I first read your book, some 23 years or so ago, The Roots Of Consciousness. From which I found the works of Yogi Ramacharaca, having read all of those, then PK Man. I may have mentioned that before. I read much in the field before that also. Currently, I've been studying and experiencing the texts of Advaita Vaishnavism. One of your remote viewing guests also went down that path before me.

    I loved the interview. It brings confirmation to my own. His line of thought is very much like mine. The trust in certain people is the key. And to believe in your own experiences.😊 there are nuts and bolts. But I have no idea when it’s ourselves, or extradimensionals in physical form. I don’t even say there are ets or spirits. But that they are consciences in other type of forms & energy. The universe is amazing, and to jump into its unknown is kind of fun. Talk about meaning of life😅😮 I have dabbled in remote view and telepathy, and now I think that is indispensable for anyone interested in conscience. It clears a lot of the fantasy, and opens up a new approach to all the esoteric experiences.

    I'd really like to hear Nick & Jeffrey discuss the "The PK Man" once Nick's had a chance to read it. I hope someone has looked into the case of Pat Price, who's been described as an especially gifted remote viewer. The story I got from a Utube video about the Hollow Moon said he'd been doing some free time RM of ET sites around the world & one in Alaska was of particular interest. While he was RVing it, he became aware that HE was being remote viewed at the same time. Because it frightened him, he quit RVing the site, but he later died in a hotel room after drinking poisoned coffee.

    Robert Monroe offered his teachings with a more scientific ( or analytical style presentation at least with his two main researchers) although I sensed a spiritual awareness (or mysterious graditide) in his words, emotion and body language. Military merged into his life's work in many ways for sure. I feel he and others are being very cautious not to tread on any of our ways of interpreting these wonders of our potential innerstanding of our being. Hats off to you all as well.

    The term is one that is context-sensitive.
    So a UFO disarming a ICBM missile, is a threat to the status quo government, but isn't a threat for an individual who wishes to not live under detonation radiation consequences, but is a protection mechanism, instead.
    Controversy, in this era of Materialism, is usually a Job Killer. Panic is one consequence, of Materialism. That's why any nation-state that grapples with the UFO issue, will be limited, because the UFO's are technologically waaaaay ahead of Humanity's state of Consciousness.

    A wonderful episode. Thank your Dr Mishlove for this interview. I especially appreciated the statement that many 'strange' phenomena are likely to be part of a whole. It makes sense. The present state of treating each paranormal experience as a silo, doesn't. Its akin to the panchatantra story of blind men describing what they rhink an elephant looks like, by touching different parts of the animal.

    Few people I know have ever heard of or seen the leaked Navy UAP footage. They haven’t noticed mainstream coverage of the subsequent report to the U.S. Congress on the subject. When I mention that the government has confirmed that there are unidentified things in the air and that they don’t know what these things are, they say with either surprise or disbelief, “Oh, really?” We’re all drowning in information, and this tidbit hasn’t yet crossed the elusive threshold into wide conscious recognition.

    Great interview, thanks to you both. I find it hard not to think in terms of an overarching Phenomenon that encompasses UFOs (or UAPs!), general Forteana, spiritualism, miracles, magic, faerie lore and all such High Weirdness. There are just too many crossovers and clusters of individual phenomena, and they adapt to the times and circumstances in which they appear for me to keep seeing them all as separate and unrelated. And if anything, there is a very tricksterish flavour to it all, for example the obfuscation and disinfo used by governments to hide their UFO and Psi research as Nick mentions. I'd love to hear of any recent books or articles that entertain the idea of such an umbrella Phenomenon.
