Yoatzi expected toooooo much from him… she literally went through a traumatic experience with her ex and soon after she got pregnant with Alex … and I think she wanted Alex to do everything and mend her wounds but he was a new dad and still learning and she came in like BAM and also with Travis. That is HER kid and he still does everything for her and him…
Exactly! She expected too much from him and kinda put him through that depression because he felt overwhelmed and not understood 😢 I hope Alex finds someone better that actually loves him for who he is inside and out. He is such a great guy

This is Alex having the mature mentality and a lot of men don’t have that mindset. I applaud him for that!
I feel like Alex already puts a lot on the plate! He was put in Yoaztis life to give her strength from her past trauma. Sometimes people come into your life in episodes for a reason and leave when it’s the right time. You know?
It’s obvious that Alex wants to be with Yoatzi but Yoatzi is rushing things in the sense that marriage will define their relationship. They have been on and off for 6 plus years but not in a committed relationship so you can’t expect a ring to feel like your relationship is serious. I think it’s great that Loui was the meditator because he sees both sides but holding them accountable to reality. A baby, a ring will NEVER define a relationship you need to work for it and cherish it. I wish you both the best of luck and if being together is what’s down the road then your efforts will show.

ALEX didn’t have to step up and take care of Travis but HE DID! and that’s amazing to me from being a single mother, it’s hard to find a man that WANTS to step up but these things that y’all are having trouble with can be work through because if you were thinking marriage then it’s through up and downs and marriage is hard but you guys can tell y’all love each other! Jesse wasn’t a bad dad yotzia kept her baby daddy away from his son & still is keeping her son away . Fucking sad everyone is showing so much love to Alex for stepping in as a step father when the real dad wants to be in his son life !!

I must say ive seen both videos that alex and yoatzi posted but this video by far is the best one. I love how louie was able to dig a bit deeper into the sitation and held them both accountable for things that they both did wrong, the communication couldnt have been better both yoatzi and alex were able to open up on a deeper level in this video i feel, props to louie for making it a safe space for them to be able to both equally express them selves & hopefully everything works out for them. You can tell there honestly is love there in between the two

I have been married for 5 years now but prior to that I was with my husband for 6 years and I thought the same as yoatzi. A few months ago me and my husband talked about this same conversation why some men don't want to get married. And he actually told me the same thing that Alex said. He said he knew he wanted to get married to me. However, he didn't feel like he was financially ready yet. And we went into more in depth in the conversation and now I understand my husband's point of view. About being stable and being where you want to be before getting married etc. 😊
Alex did have a point about not diving into your feelings because you will get things done but like Louie said you will eventually crack. Everyone needs to find the balance of their feelings which is why so many people go to therapy. But not dealing with your feelings is what men are technically trained to do and why they eventually crack and especially in a relationship.

This honestly made me understand yoatzi so much better. Because before I wouldn’t understand the reason why she wanted to get married but now I understand it’s because she wants to someone to be fully committed to her and not just cause she wants a wedding. 😢

I honestly think it’s the peer pressure. I felt the same way. Specially when I would see everyone around me get engaged and married and that would make me wonder why not me. Like is someone wrong with me… I fell into pressure that looked like if I wanted to rush things although my relationship was for years and years already. I learned that everyone’s timing is different. I say this also because I remember watching another podcast where an influencer talked about the pressure to be like the rest influencers like getting a BBL and dressing like them. At the end she didn’t get a BBL but she talked about how the pressure is real. I love you guys!!! ❤Wish you all the best!

im so glad yoatzi brought up the reason with wanting to have the “marriage title” is to feel that your partner is committed to you. which is such horrible mentality to have bc your partner could be 10000% committed to you, but just needs more time and we’re over here thinking they dont want to fully commit to us. alex explained the answer perfectly and i truly understand how it feels to be in yoatzi shoes

Just my two cents I understand the kids are in between but the low key flirting and still often seeing each other can also suppress you getting better -distance and STRICTLY speaking only of kids can do wonders. I think at the end of the day both Alex and yoatzi are very much mature and as a mom I definitely understand yoatzi but at the same time I’m able to understand Alex because at one point my husband and I weren’t always on the same page up until we learned we had to communicate in order to make things get better and to be better parents to our kids ✨🫶

Bc from the way Alex is expressing himself as far as lk “how they met” & they’re relationship.. it seems toxic too. Alex seems lk a good guy & honestly Jesse too. Not saying Jesse wasn’t wrong but like Jesse said in the interview men don’t really express or talk to someone when they’re relationship doesn’t feel right. Yoatzi- I see growth in you, and I think there’s still a lot more self healing to be done, because then we can be self damaging to our relationships , love, family and friends. But I see love between you too. And it takes a real man to love and raise a son that isn’t his.I have a man like that my self and I’m continuously working on my self to make sure that I don’t ruin the most precious thing I have, my family. Relationships & marriage means going through mistakes and experiences together and that sometimes leads through rocky situations, arguments, etc. but thats the beauty of it, after some time you’ll see your growth but the whole point of it all is to never give up on eachother. We grow together and it isnt easy. And especially seeing someone like what alex said he went from one person to 2 to 3. It was all at once.
I real hope yoatzi and Alex make it they are great people yes there is always ups and downs in a relationship but I hope you guys can work on your problems so when you guys get back together you guys are strong as a rock

Hi Louie yoatzi and Alex this episode was the best I have been engaged for 1 year and I always had a vision of when I wanted to be married by. My fiancé and I started planning but financially we couldn’t keep up. My fiancé came to me and told me how he wanted to plan this wedding and enjoy it and not be stressed out. After hearing how much he wanted to slow down the plans because he wanted that day and process to be special , I was able to appreciate and respect his reasonings. I saw his intentions were not because he didn’t love me but that he wanted to remember this day for the rest of our lives and for it to be perfect. Keep working hard keep working at the relationship and thank you all for sharing I love you guys ❤️💜💕

Everyone has different time lines and not everyone’s relationship starts the same way. Personally I have been with my man 11yrs, but I would have never married this man in my early/mid twenties. We were both so young and going through person growth. Now im in my early 30’s and I feel like we’re getting to that point of taking the next step. Marriage is not a game, and everyone’s relationship is different. Nobody should be pressured by anyone to take that step. Props to you guys and I hope you stay close always and stay in each others lives🤍🤍🤍🤍❤️❤️❤️❤️
i feel like Yoatzi should’ve known , already how she had travis with a abusive relationship, she should’ve been safe about her relationship with alex ESPECIALLY if she knew they were on and off. Cutting social media and family/friends out of our life was the best thing for me and my bfs relationship because i was struggling alot looking around seeing everyone married and kids with houses and cars and I thought I was behind in life I would cry trying so hard to be like them until I started to just live in the moment and let us go at our own pace we are so much happier now ❤
Overall I loved this because everything that they wanted to say was said and I loved it. I really enjoyed everyone talking about what they needed too. Talking about once in a life time, LOUIE I saw you in SF and I was so shocked and I didn’t go back and say hi! I have so much regret in my heart hopefully I get to see you in person again 😭😭

Sometimes life can takes it turn and not go the way you wanted even if you have the money and then you don’t. I was engaged 3 months prior to my husband now had a stroke. Getting married was put on hold for 4 years because we end up loosing our money due to husband lost job and all our savings went into paying rent and I didn’t make enough to cover for all expenses. We end up loosing our house to renting a room and eventually we got back onto our feet and my husband now health got better and we both end up with better jobs and boom we got married. We didn’t even have kids at the time so I never thought when I will see myself married, with two beautiful kids and homeowners after the tragedy.

I feel like Yoa expected more out of Alex when it came to being in a relationship since they knew each other for so long and it’s understandable. And they probably did get lost in between friends to being a couple to parents… but hopefully they can come back together as they always did. ❤️

As a parent I see how things could just go wrong from yoatzi already being a mom till Alex being a first time dad how hard it could be but I hope you guys can really work things out
it’s easy to fall into depression and get lost in it especially in the beginning stages of parenthood. You have to talk through it and put in the work with your partner so you guys won’t fall apart.

I have no kids but I have heard it is best to put your partner before the kids. not in the sense of F these kids but if you and your partner are not good with each other and on the same page you will not be able to be there for your kids. Parents still need their alone time away from the kids and some people forget that.
