A Singapore multi Chinese language series. It gives hope to other Chinese languages which have been neglected n banned for so long n nearing extinction. A commendable effort n a big thank you to the producer. Keep it up. Only the Chinese can save the many Chinese languages. They r our heritage n trasure. Pass it on to the next generation n dont let it become extinct.
This drama i must say is the best of all other dialect dramas. Story entertaining, characters are lovable... 👏👏👏shld be given to zhu ho ren, chen liping, cynthia koh and the other younger leading stars. Romeo really acted well in this drama.
During my CNY break at Malaysia hometown I found this dialect drama very attractive. It was long since my last time sit down watching MediaCorp drama. Well done to the whole production team and the actor and actresses in this drama.
No wonder it looked like a mandarin dubbed drama.. Now I knew that it's actually a dialect. But this really caught me a surprise because if I'm not mistaken, Singapore doesn't allow any dramas in other languages except Mandarin and English on their national TV. So I was quite shocked when I heard Singaporean actors speaking fluent Cantonese and dialects in some of the movies produced outside Singapore.
We saw as ususal many faces of ugly chen liping...even Hong Kong star Michelle Yim But if Xiang Yun, we seldom find her angry or ugly images in the theme song... Mainly nice images..😏
Poor command of Hokkien language. Used a lot of English, Mandarin and Malay words. Mana, baru are all Malay words. The fat woman is speaking Teochew and not Hokkien. At least , it is good that Singapore is moving away from Mandarin.

在新加坡真正能说闽南语的闽南人大部分已"不在人间了"。剩下的闽南人，大部分也不太会说闽南语了。。悲哀啊(⊙o⊙)。
不是不准, 是不同地区口音不同而已!
新加坡講的是福建話,跟台語還是有不一樣的地方的
新加坡人说的福建话，和台语一样都源自中国的福建省。台湾台语受到了很多日本语的影响，新加坡福建话则受到了马来话和其他方言的影响，因此在发音和用语上有些不同，正如台湾国语和中国普通话也存在着不一样的地方。所以说新加坡人的台语发音不标准是不正确的。
我们说的是新加坡式的福建话，不是你们台湾的闽南语 所以很多发音不同。不是因为我们发音不准。
