- Canadians spend nearly $9 billion dollars a year on their pets -- that's more than we spend on kids' toys, designer shoes and dental plans! PJ's Pets/Pets Unlimited is one of the nation's oldest and respected pet store chains, but the company has a new President in place, and she's prepared to rattle a few cages. Margaret Kordas steps out of her high heels and spends a week working in her own stores. Throughout her journey, she comes to appreciate the level of knowledge and competence the retail staff displays. While in disguise she also discovers a few costly inefficiencies and wasted opportunities -- and confronts a personal fear of spiders! At the end of the week, she slips back into her designer suit and heels to reunite with the passionate people she worked with. Her true identity is revealed and those workers are rewarded for their hard work and honesty.[23]
That lady worked her butt off and made that company proud, but what she did for that last gentleman was the best. She genuinely understood what it meant for that man to drive big rigs and the RV was the perfect idea. I would absolutely use this company if I lived in Canada.
You're so right, sorry idk how old this is, but I agree, it's traveling, and he's driving and it may not be a big rig, but it's big! So thoughtful!
Pj's pets really changed the business model
Are the boxes full of animals? Good show, tho.
The next episode says suncor energy... it’s actually undercover lover. Bang bus rear ended fender bender edition
OP. 😅😅😅 Good one! They REALLY DID !!!
Did you see her carry that fridge she’s an animal
In the 25+ years of working many different jobs here in Canada I have never gotten any acknowledgement from any boss I have ever had. Every episode of undercover boss brings tears to my eyes just hearing these bosses appreciate their employees regardless of the monetary rewards, praise goes a long way.
God sees your heart, and He loves you
think this has been my favorit episode so far. She didn't need to spend a ton of money on her people, rather telling them how important each one to her and her company did way more than money ever ould do. It felt like she really meant it. Way to go.
what a great boss, she genuinely cares about her employees. Rewards were small due to limited finances but everyone sincerely appreciated what they received.
I was thinking that’s why.

What great gifts - they may not be financially large but giving the one guy jobs that will enable him to visit his daughter and grandson means more than money. And telling the other guy that he can drive the trucks on their private property was such a joy for him.
She did really good by these employees. Be kind to one another. Stay safe. Love to all
Just to see how happy the guy was to be told it was ok for him to move the truck got me crying
That last guy would have just been happy about being able to drive the big trucks around on the property you can tell he is a good dude for sure
One of the best "Undercover Boss" episodes I've ever seen. So glad I saw this. Thank you.
This woman was so motherly. I liked her.
I'm so glad she told him he can move the trucks 😢❤
This show has ALWAYS been revealing and inspirational . 😳 . Bosses that are willing to "get down in the trenches" with their employees is so right on the mark. Exposure of glitches, but even more importantly the positive standouts is the backbone of the show. GREAT SHOW ! with some really GREAT PEOPLE ! ! . 👍
I love these shows. I love the way that these executives take the time to actually see what their employees deal with.
This company really cares about their employees and it shows. This episode was totally awesome very warm and caring.
I agree, I worked as a sweeper with North American Van Lines back in the 1980s. It’s a tuff work. My stepdad was the district manager for North American Van Lines in Alberta, Canada for a few years every summer I would go with him in the rig across Alberta 1983 to 1985. Best time I ever had
Billy is amazing. He loves his job for the company...
It's so nice to see a show that has happy endings and companies that recognize quality employees. It leaves me with a smile at the end of the show.
It's always nice to be told you're appreciated and doing a good job. But she went even further by actually listening to the employees and helping them out with their personal needs and wants. Helping to get the tools and equipment to work more efficient and not make it harder for them. Excellent boss and business woman.👍👍 The title was wrong but still a very good program.
She also used some of their ideas. I feel she should have been more generous.
The VP has a good heart! Surely the company could afford to be much more generous. Each of those employees make huge contributions. Giving them $20,000 or more is certainly something the company could afford
I’m unsure as to why you think that way, those employees were beyond grateful for the money they received, usually a company may pay for a Christmas celebration for employees, never have I heard of a company giving employees £2500 for doing their job
This isn't the one I wanted but I am glad I stayed. She was refreshing and seemed like a good boss.
One of the most important and least learned lessons is that if you take care of your people, they'll be healthier, have a better atmosphere, better morale, work harder, are less likely to become sick, less mistakes, so it works both ways.
It's way better than just gouging them for all you can which is what's happening a lot nowadays.
Yes such a beautiful boss, she genuinely have the love for her employees who she have in-contact with keep the love and kindness and your company will bless continually God is love ❤️
I usually always cry watching this show. Bc, well firstly, I got a job at 14 in high school to help with the bills, and even that young I always tried my best, ( my daddy was sick, it was cancer but he hated doctors, so it went to stage four and he passed in 2015😢) but he was a professional painter and he always said, " Don't half do anything in life, babygirl!" And I didn't. But, this is one of the more emotional ones I've seen. And the guy, who just wants to drive again, ( y'all know he was so sure he was gonna get reprimanded ) and then cried when she said he could back those trucks up EVERYDAY! I cried. I can empathize too, is another reason why. I had eye surgery 2 yrs ago. Not lasik, TO NOT GO BLIND! I've lost all sight in my left eye. And I believe I could do it( I had to pay cash for my good eye, and if I am blessed to get this other one doc said, he could at least get my peripheral back), but I'm scared but when I'd always say before," I refuse to drive, I'm tired of it, and wanna just be the passenger one time!" Be careful what you say or wish for, I want to drive as badly as him. Have been for 20 something years. Sorry so long! Great employees, I didn't intend on making it about me. They're the awesome ones. Great episode. She really has a warm heart forher awesome employees, had me crying!
I love how she’s guna cry bc he’s “breaking his back to work” ppl who can feel for someone like that is a special trait bc a lot of ppl don’t give a f
She only cares because it'll cost them much more if he goes on WSIB.
It's not the amour of money this woman passes out to these hard working people, but the fact that they are being acknowledged for the excellent work, and personal sacrifices they have made to keep their jobs up to par. $$is nice, but just acknowledging appreciation gives such a psychological boost, it's immeasurable. Good company.
One of the best things I have ever seen on RUclips. Movers and manual labors are looked down on but they keep every city running.
Butch was so happy. Made me cry
That was a pretty emotional episode
Billy is good he knows how to minimize the load of truck im a trucker to dhl forwarder from the phillipine . I salute him...
She is definitely one of the most down to earth bosses!
Yes she is. She absolute,y an amazing boss. Wish her all the best in her life.
Woww butch really make me cry that is awesome she is so nice with them I wish Walmart boss be like that thank you for doing that
Wow, what a genuinely sincere and compassionate VP she is. You just don't see people that run a company act in such a generous and kind way that she did. Happy employees are productive, which in turn makes for a profitable company....with very low turnover. This is how you run a company!
People are complaining about her not giving out massive amounts of money. Seems that she made every one of them pretty happy!
No kidding. It's a sad sign of our times when people measure virtue by handouts and a never ending supply of "free" crap (even when that means forcibly taking from others to get their way). Economic realities and objective compassion matters not to the perpetually entitled...
She could have handed them 100k and folks would still be like where's the rest.
Just a sign of where people are nowadays. Smh
Each one of these people were so ecstatic JUST to be recognized for their hard work! Everything else was bonus.
I've worked in healthcare and retail/ food for 44 years. I've trained hundreds of people, managed many, worked for others, helped everyone in the stores anyway I could. RARELY have I had favors returned or heard "thank you". But, I didn't expect it from others, either.
Still, I've continued to give all I've got because that's my work ethic. I do it for ME, not to impress anyone.
If someone gives u a £20 bonus 1 month your happy, that's the least I've saw given back.
It's better to watch this kind of motivation videos then movies god bless you sister
My respect to you Vice President.
God blesses you, your family and your company more🙏💞🇵🇭
Tear jerker...love this
She has been my favourite of the bosses on thia that ive seen. Shes the first one that comes across as an actual leader.
I'm going to have to stop watching these programmes I'm a mess can't stop bawling and now my heads banging lol
these oldies are so lovely !!
THAT was a tear jerker at the end...
Is John quinones the narrator of this show? It sounds like him. Billy is a gem!! What a great employee! Kirsten is a wonderful person!! This episode really got me crying!
they need a meal cart in the truck every day for movers to be able to eat from while on the road .. so they are eating good
Heading "PJ's Pets & Pets" while the video is about a moving company. Thats weird. 🤪
One day someone mentioned they were moving and the manager was like hey we can do that
Accidental click bait! Lol
8 years later and it remains inaccurate, haha
It’s a miss title, it’s ok, and miss-titleing happens a lot on You Tube.
Exactly
This show is awesome!!!!!!!!!
It was nice to see PJs pets and all of those animals OMG it was so overwhelming filled with animals and pets and PJs 😂 Hello RUclipsr you screwed up.
This lady is very excited about her employees
Cried my eyes out on this one.
i cry on this one...this woman is the best
Shes right about the fly by night moving companies. I've seen companies add charges after the truck was loaded and when the person refused to pay them the additional fees they weren't told about the moving company would unload the truck and put all their belongings in the front yard. Not back in the house! Its pathetic!!
I cried so hard at the end wtf 😢
one of the problems is thinking in a set way . So an acquired moving storage company loads up the truck without trolleys. And then unloads the truck for storage. (man hours used ) then they load up the truck from the storage (man hours used) Why not use shipping containers and store the shipping container securely in a storage facility. It could have a bar code on the container. Then pick up the whole container and truck it to final destination. Packing tape can be put on dispensers. I have moved at least 5 times and packed each time.
She did a good job by them. Showed a lot of heart. On a separate note though she looked waayyy better with the brown hair. Lol 😅
The guy at the end 😢😢 trucking isn't just a job its a lifestyle ❤
This isn't PJs Pets or Pets Unlimited- was looking forward to seeing a show about the pet business, but this is a good episode.
Portable air-conditioners to cool those trucks would cost little enough. high temps in them can exceed 120 Degrees.
They still have to vent air & still have water run
If only Genesis Healthcare would do this show. The business people might actually learn to appreciate and recognize the hard work and caring that goes on in their nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities. THAT would be an amazing show.
Those crates would be a lot faster if modularization.Slide down or in units that fit and lock in place.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing.
I just found this I didn’t even know there was an Undercover Boss Canada not surprising though💯
umm. this is not pj's pets. whats up.
Yeah.. I was like hmm, they must be hiding. I do wanna see the pets episode now though. :P
Five years later and they still haven't changed the title. They clearly don't read the comments or just doesn't care.
Maybe they’re hiding out in one of the moving trucks. Lol.
@@marialiyubman lol 👍
I like to see pet land on here. They are puppy mill. They say they aren’t but the are
One of my fave bosses.
And my time working in a factory, I have become the most proficient box maker the world has ever known. I can make a box in 7 to 11 seconds
Wow he did not get into trouble. He also gets to continue to do so . She better hope she don't get caught letting him do so or no issues
How are the cameras staying hidden so well ?
The ending always gets me in tears🥲
Premiere Van lines really needs to have a bonus incentive. I think $2500 was not enough for her hard working employees and the survey lady should have gotten some sort of a compensation for what she did for the whole company. For a successful franchise of over $35,000,000 company I think they can afford it. This is my opinion.
5:05 Why did her colleagues or "board member" look like actors and not actually people she knows and works with...
Great episode
Did that customer state she has moved three times in a year and a half?? Jesus!! I am not sure what her circumstances are... maybe a job transfer? However, that is enough to cause anyone to have a nervous breakdown. I have mad respect for that customer to have to deal with that mess three times in such a short amount of time.
Lmao this always cracks me up
Worker: “I have $30,000 in student loan debt”
Boss: “here’s $2,000 towards it”
Like the US version is buying people houses and the Canadian version won’t go over $5,000
well not only did she give $2,000 but also made their jobs better with the tools they need. she is an amazing boss that cares about
the employees needs.
@@Ipot4me well thank god she improved her company. Did little to nothing in comparison to others
makes me think maybe the company isn't doing very well, and either is she.
In the very beginning she says they struggle to be profitable
@@Bandit-bk2qc That is true. Other shows did give much more but at least they got something. What they got did help them
I can't believe how much pj's pets changed from pet service to moving service. Sad I wanted to see the PJs pets episode
This is not the right video, the title and description are for a different episode.
Tape guns bro, tape guns.
$2000 dollars might be the lowest under cover boss gift ever lol
Butch is the best 😊😭
How can the entire executive team not know the trucks say “Globe” two years later? Don’t they ever leave their office?
only saw this now, fantastic kind lady boss but cant believe small gifts for staff they should get 20 k each company is worth millions disappointed for these great staff.
Why are these CA Undercover Bosses so damn FRUGAL?!?!
Start at 42:00. Butch comes from an older generation..., he called the VP Sir. 😊
No 2 wheelers, no 4 wheel dollies, no lifting straps, no back braces, no work gloves, ----hand carrying everything. Looks like a horrendously run operation. The "wood" panels for the crates are rotted. No proper tools in moving trucks for assembling items.
All of these things point to a massive failure of management in between the President/CEO and the street level of Operations.
Cool boss!
Holy shazbat that last one really got to me. She had grounds to fire him and report him to whatever driver department Canada has to get his license pulled.
His license is already pulled
She would get a fine
@@tysonrinker5958 Comercial license only. Otherwise, he wouldn't be allowed to drive even a personal car.
Yes I keep blasting myself to see how these bosses rewards their employees with gratitude love and blessing 09-10-22
Now I understand why workers compensation is necessary and so expensive.
Watched it but goodness what has Premiere movers got to do with PJ Pets???
The video is not P.J PetsUnlimited ? It is Premiere Van lines .
Hi maam your so amazing. Your a muscle man salute...
Canadian bosses are a lot less generous than American bosses.
Ok we get it, the title is incorrect 🙄
Them Mfs was baffled when she said she going to go to the front line like she was dumb the hell.
What does a moving company have to do with a pet store?
He doesn't need to worry about a pay cheque while hes away in the RV. Goes without saying I would have thought, holiday leave surely.
Hello, did u delete the undercover boss Pj's pet and unlimited , I was watching it but now I could not find it 😢 where can I watch again , I need to do an assignment with it . Thank you
This is not the proper Pj's and Unlimited, thank you
@reality
What this company provided to their hard working employees is peanuts.
Sad!!!!
I think that each employee should be given an award for the hard job they do. How about a ten thousand reward for each employee. I think it's all tax deductible.
Maybe they look at things like this differently in Canada!
I was thinking the same
Really wanted to see the pets one.Got mislabeled
PJ's supported puppy mills !!!
I've had really horrible experience with movers stealing my belongings. I didn't have a lot of money the first time and was conned by the mover/storage people. I'm still dealing with them. The second one were inexperienced opened all of my boxes, items went missing here and there, especially small perfumes and a precious Hello Kitty jacket that fit me well and was very warm. One of my Prada shoes were dumped out of the box and put into another box and smashed shut. $800 pair of shoes. One mover made comments about my items about the designer items and I had to rip them out of his hands because he did not want to give my Chanel bath items back to me. Going to report them if things do not reappear when I unpack all boxes at last move. Movers are sneaky. Sorry. This company may be legit, but most are wretched. She made Billy so incredibly happy just being able to move the big rigs, but to have the RV to travel with his family... he was bowled over with such happiness. She's a nice person. ❤❤❤❤👍.
This episode is NOT about PJ's Pets and Pets, it is about "Premier Van Lines".
Surely they should be using a furniture trolley???
So I get where Kirsten is coming from, with things need to be changed, but she's the boss and should already know what's going on, especially with the basic every day stuff like having the right tools for the job.
Every crew should be given a standard kit that goes with the truck, and then its their job to make sure that if tools break, they [the crew] are able to put in a replace order. That's just standard stuff, isn't it?
