Number 1 rule always call the receiver before you even load up. I see sooooo many people getting caught out because they need call ahead. Example What time do they close are they open on weekends how are you going to unload my freight so I can load it to suit the unloading.this habit will save you nearly every time. And sometimes I get the wrong information and I get caught out but not very much so while I still at the receivers waiting I the well I tried my best. But like a said I don’t get caught out much. Developing this habit will save you time and time again.i hope this is a helpful tip 👍😊✅happy truckin and your doing a great job 👌✅😊👍

Use clear silicone to glue that light together. It's flexible and won't break loose when you hit bumps. Cut it with a knife when you need to remove it.

I wish I could be 24 again, from 17-25 were the best years of my life! Now I’m 55 & just another busted ass Truck Driver with 31 Years on the Highway in Australia, my last few jobs have been driving Road Trains from Brisbane to Darwin, a 10 day round trip with 3 trailers, mostly flat tops with tarps & over here you help to load & unload yourself especially if you’re on a remote cattle Station with a load of fencing stuff on one of your trailers. Anyway Happy Birthday Becca, you should come on a working holiday to Australia that way you’ll get to drive some of our trucks. I think you’d love it, I’ve personally known quite a few Englishmen & a Canadians who came for a holiday but enjoyed the life here they just decided to emigrate here. Low crime rate & no guns is a big plus

I once picked up a load in Los Angeles took it all the way to Ohio and they refused it, saying the guy that ordered it had retired and they didn’t want it (was some kind of machinery) after going back and forth on the phone with my dispatch and the receiver, I ended up taking it all the way back to LA.
