Ngl I don't really care about the credit costs for the abilities bc like come like round 3 or 4 everyone has all their abilities. Also on top for all of thus you still have yo be genuinely good at the game. You can't just pop an ability that insta wins like gekko ul ot kj ult. If you can't hit ur shots or kill ppk then u still fail bc he has no util to make fights easier just to make it so that he can push the whole round. Reyna can blind and make it so u don't shoot her while she kills I and either runs or heals. Iso util you still have to get kills, you still have to play angles, and if sum1 is just a god at aiming you can still get insta killed with a quick double head tap. So no he isn't broken he is still probably a mid teir agent

@ujjwlmishr vulnerable isnt as consistent value as other utility that other agents have especially in team play. Its the same idea as reyna or clove, they are rarly played in pro play but have great solo potential.

A team can use him as an anti operator, which is a game changer in competitive especially on longer maps
He is literally a walking utility for team play
You forgot to mention that iso's double tap gives a 25% faster reload speed (same as reyna in Empress, however it does not give the fire rate, recovery speed or equip speed buffs that reyna gets). This faster reload speed exists even if his shield gets broken so it makes his double tap even better.

If people ever bring up that you should just play somoene like kj or sova to counter him then he is broken. Chamber made fade good and iso might be meta shifting too.

The first time I hear about Iso buff I thought about Demon1. Dude's clean aim is still there and if he can focus on only aiming he'll be nearly unstoppable. I mean I'm no Demon1 but my aim is a lot cleaner with new Iso since I don't need to rush my shot anymore.

Either make it max 2 shields a round( I meant one which u get from activating it and the other by breaking an orb when u get a kill) or make it so that 20% damage goes through the shield

The funny thing is everyones thinking its broken but it really depends on the player you wont see many guys whos mechanically gifted as Demon1
Also, he can block any shot with his shield including op shots. But any amount of damage also breaks the shield, so I'd say that its balanced enough for people to be able to work around it pretty easy. Shoot with a classic then shoot or something like that.

Well, if you're aim is on demon1 level, he's really a good agent. If you're aim is like my iron 1 Reyna instalock each game. Not even pre nerf chamber can help.

I think the problem with agents like Iso and Reyna is their lack of team util. Every iso ability save for his shield and vulnerable is kinda... underwhelming (save for maybe ult of you have shield up which isn’t guaranteed.) Reyna has the same problem.
Yes, Iso's shield flips 50/50s into his favor... but it isn’t by a huge amount. You can ABSOLUTELY win a duel with a shielded Iso. It ain't hard. Plus, the shield itself still has the issue of making iso extrmely visable. The shield is good don't get me wrong, but it's not meta defining. It's much better in ranked play due to the fact that 50/50 duels are much more common, especially in low elo. To beat Iso, just don't give him favorable duels. Dump that mf with util and the shield is as good as gone. Double swing him, util dump, hold cross, swing him when he's shooting his aim labs ball, etc.
Undercut does nothing to move enemy crosshairs and thus makes it a sub par entry tool. Its only real use is comboing with teammates util and in that regard it does good. At least with reyna blind someone needs to shoot it. Undercut is a better defense tool than an offense tool and in the context of an agent in the design space of "taking space and duels" it just doesn’t fit well.
His wall is just bad. Like, it's really bad. Yes, it blocks bullets but like... so? You're blocking off 1 (one) angle. On most maps this means nothing. Hell, half the time no one is gonna be there anyway so you’re just throwing up a big "look at me" sign. If iso could move with it better and actually use it to isolate duels it would be so much better.
And finally, his ult is... ok. It's got interesting properties. Supressing the enemy caught is nice and the fact he can now reliably take his shield into the ult actually puts it in his favor finally. The problem with this ult is two fold for me. One issue is that, without shield, the ult isn’t really in your favor. It's HIS ult. He deserves advantage. Second issue I have is how bad it is in 1v2s and so on. Granted, that's the point, but i can't help but wish it wasn’t. Iso's ult in a 1v2 situation is awful. Even if he snags someone (giving his location away), he's left so vulnerable afterwards it's not even worth it. This ults main use seems to be stalling. I say this since you can snag bomb carrier and defuser. That's really good... but for an ult, especially an expensive one, i expect more. It's underwhelming.
When an agent's kit is countered by proper play there is a design issue. A single pip of damage from a nade, molly, dart, aftershock, wall, etc is enough to shut down the main draw of Iso's kit. If you're playing well, you're never just dry swinging an angle and hoping. You’re playing with and utilizing these pieces of util especially. Iso will struggle in coordinated play because he crumbles to coordinated dumps/holds/pushes. He seems best as a lurk/flex duelist, a role Yoru also fills exceptionally well and... well, he isn’t super good right now. Iso will dominant uncoordinated play. As will reyna and clove. These agents thrive off winning duels. Ranked players aren't exactly good at trading/positioning themselves in a way to not give them these favorable duels. Iso is just male Reyna with more util. The hype will die soon. He won't drop off the planet, but i almost gurantee we won't see him too much.
Though, i could be wrong! Ya never truly know. This is mainly an opinion and not fact, even if I've been using objective language (minus his wall that shit is garbo.) Am excited to see how this shakes up the meta. Having an anti OP character is really nice I will admit.
Iso has good team util, his wall, his vulnerable ability, his ult can be used to make a push that would be a 5v3 into a 4v2 wich is better odds

I don’t think most of you guys are understanding the real issue. The issue is the snowballing. The fact that 1 ability can aid you on MULTIPLE different gunfights at 0 cost is what makes it broken. I think they should entirely remove the “orb” thing so he can’t keep getting shields from every kill. This would give him a favorable first engagement but would also prevent easy snowballing from the first kill. If his shield gets shot, it’s gone for the rest of the round, unless he gets 2 kills to get 1 charge of the ability back.
I’d say just lower the timer from 20sec to 12sec but keep everything else. Your forgetting that the rest of iso abilities are useless.
Every other agents ult is in the favour but ISO’s ult is useless without his shield.
@@_Jayson1730 his vulernable is good and the ult pairs well with the shield. Buff the wall and make the shield orbs no longer appear.

The only thing he actually really punishes is snipers. Like most other duelists, if you give him 1v1s he’ll have the upper hand. You don’t need to use util to counter him but it’s easier with simple team play. He also still has no movement abilities 🤷♂️

Well this only works in higher elo where people can actually kill eachother. Low elo cannot play Iso effectively
Not to mention this resets every kill and also gets a charge every 2 kills. Its basically an unlimited skill.

I’m sorry buddy but it’s happening. I’m two months new to the game and recently started to main Iso. It’s so fun using him but with the nerfs he’s basically useless now.
Shields only last 12 seconds rather than 20 and you don’t get another one after 2 kills.
So as soon as the time runs out your back to normal with two useless abilities.
You'll just have to get good and not rely op agents

@@BlueEndSK maining a character since release doesn't make you any less of an abuser, same thing happened in Tekken 8 with Reina nerfs, all low IQ Reina abusers are whinning while actually good players simply don't care. Most of them played the character since Tekken 8 release too before knowing the moveset or even the game, however their playstyle was just cheesing with weird moves with properties that shouldn't exist instead of fundamentals and strategy.
Not saying that Iso is Reina or that you personally are abusing him, but being able to tank 255 (op headshot) damage with a 0 cred cost ability that resets on kill and still be full HP is not healthy as a design no matter how useful it actually is and "maining since realease" doesn't make you less of an abuser. Staying after nerfs is what makes you an actual character loyalist though, real mains stay even on hard times.

It's not even that strong, just buy weapons that can spray or safely wallbang or use damaging utility. He still has no innate advantage when peaking, just better at holding angles.

Tbh, I kinda like the iso buffs. Since his release, he wasn't really a strong agent but with these buffs he is starting to become a more viable agent and I like it! It isn't really like he is wayyyy to op to a point u can't even kill him. All u have to do is hit him with any weapon, so I like to jiggle peak an angle I know where iso is and dink him with a classic.

One match i was playing as Raze, he just tanked an op shot and my ult the next round.
Obviously, that’s the point of most characters, to put fights in your favor. This would be like saying Reyna’s eye is broken since it puts the fight in her favor, or omen paranoia, or neon concuss. Iso is easy to counter, you just have to change up your strategy like how you would against any other agent.
Could Reyna’s eye block 800 damage? In that clip he got shot multiple times through smoke, her ability would have made this play possible. His shield allows you to take time and one tap everybody bc it’s so quick to get back up. Reyna has two blinds max and can still be one taped to the head
@@JustinYacob iso still loses to getting peeked by multiple people at a time, the phantom in general, and breaking his shield early on in the fight (spamming smokes, wall banging, etc.)
@@shard3606 if youre good at the game you wont be in a multi person gunfight, he can also put up 2 shields that reset after 1 kill and you get another insta sheild after 2 kills, not every player uses the phantom, and just because you spam the smoke doesnt mean you will hit him

Never hated Riot more. Honestly, thinking of quitting Valorant. It's not the same game anymore. I play at 60 fps on a 60 hz laptop. In the recent Act (Ep. 8, Act 3) I was about to hit Ascendant 1. Now for almost 1/2 years, I was hard stuck Gold. Until the start of Ep. 8, Act 2, where I finally hit Plat 1 and in the same Act, I hit Diamond 1. I play solo only. No duo or 5 stack. I never intended to reach Ascendant, but in Act 3, I reached Diamond 3 with 97 RR. Just one game and I would have reached Ascendant 1. And then came the most horrendous update I've ever seen Riot roll out. And everybody was insta-locking Iso on account of his crazy buff. And what do you know. I lost 8 games in a row and got down to Diamond 2 with 24 RR. I will never push my rank, ever. Good job Riot Games.
