Having followed you and your parents wonderful story my feeling is that no matter what the circumstances were at the time of your adoption they adopted you because they wanted you and am sure you have had so much love from them, nothing else matters. You will always think about things when people have a conversation about adoption but I am sure you feel like a biological child to them. They will always be there for you and your sister.
Interesting thought. Thanks for expressing it so publicly. I have sometimes romanticized the idea of adopting a child from a poorer country. Maybe I was just trying to ennoble myself.
Glad you enjoyed it. It’s very complicated because orphaned children in poorer countries do need to be adopted. I think that a lot of savior complex comes down to your attitude towards the child once they are adopted. If you constantly remind the child or other people of the fact that they were rescued from a poor country, than that would be savior complex. If you just talk about and treat the child as if they were your own biological child or like any other child, than you’re fine. Other people may still point out that they should be grateful/lucky for being adopted though.
Interesting subjects thank you for explaining it in more detail I hope in the future the DNA will come up with a match for you it must have been very hard for your birth parents to give you up
@@ScarlettFuyin the one child policy in China has brought about this problem I'm sure your parents didn't want to give you up and I hope for your sake you find them you're very lucky add two sets of parents, sometimes looking at the past sometimes you forget but what you have now complete joy two sets of loving parents
Thank you so much! Great truths told!
