Please, please, please, teach me the tuvan language. I learned how to Khoomei. I know kargyraa, khoomei and Sygyt and It is my dream to learn the language. Please teach me, please. It is a really hard language and I just a little bit.
Yep. Chylandyk and Byrlang too. Now I teach Tuvan Throat singing Online :) I did the mango language some time ago but they teach just a little bit of Tuvan.

I play a bit of banjo myself, and have been learning throat singing for about a year. I happened to know this song already and I can say without a doubt, the banjo definitely kicks ass on this and provided a really beautiful harmonic context to the melody via chord movement that's not present in the traditional version of this song!
The audience appreciates that he is different, but don't realize that THEY are being disrespectful by making noise, and missing the overtones. Hopefully the appreciation outweighs the disrespect. Good job!
I couldn't find it by Kongar-Ol and the Flecktones, but I here are two videos of Tuvan bands performing the song Aa-Shuu Dekei-oo: ruclips.net/video/Bau_cJEKlQE/видео.html ruclips.net/video/T57Ixo6RR94/видео.html
@@Roikuh Sure is! Three of the Flecktones' members were in every incarnation of the group: You have Bela Fleck on banjo, Victor Wooten on bass and Roy Wooten, aka FutureMan, on drums or drumitar!
Anyone knows the word Ondar said at the end of his songs?? (e.g. 2:55) I listen to tuvan throat singers and Kongar-ol Ondar and Alash Ensemble usually say that word at the end of their songs and I never understand what they say!
The first one is Alash Khem and the second one is Eki Attar (Good horses). If you still want to buy it, search online for the albums "Echoes of Tuva" and "Back Tuva future" by Kongar-ool Ondar.
Ok, now I know why I didn't appreciate this when I heard it in the Flecktones concert. It's because there's so much applause you can hardly hear how amazing this really is. The crowd doesn't know true concert etiquette, and it's unfortunate how they kind of spoiled his performance

I saw them when they came to Salina, KS and played the Stiefel Theater. Something I will remember for the rest of my life. It was amazing.
I was there! It was amazing! Can’t believe I found this!
Such a joyful, personable man and a true master!!! RIP....
Music. One Language. One world. Let us enjoy!
thanks Posterity !
Bravo! I am proud and respect this artist! I am proud to be from Tuva too!

I just can't believe it. Two years ago I fall in love with banjo, this year I discover this Altai and Tuva music...and now I find this...♥️😊😊😊👍🏻
I was at this show! Hope more of this concert’s available

Kongar-ool's performances are always so lively, he is so awesome. He really knows how to get the audience going :)
Saw the Flecktones many times in the 90s . They always had different musical FREAKS with them ,and I mean that with total RESPECT.
some would argue (myself included) that playing jazz and classical genre ensembles on a banjo is wonderfully freakish…
It`s like having a voice with controlled feedback. Well done Kongar-ol, RIP.
The man was amazing
the audience sounds like they are at a soccer match
listen to the man sing........................
WOOO YEAEAAHHHHHH!!!! OOHH YERRRRRHHH!! YERRR!!! WOOOO!!! YERRRRR!!!!!!
I wanted to enjoy this, but it's hard
I was there and it was electric the whole show through
They're excited and enthusiastic - there's no disrespect in any of it. Let them enjoy the song.
Christian hoen, this isn't the best showcasing of it, but the banjo.player (bela fleck), is possibly one of the best banjoists of all time
Lol. Sure he is. Good, decent...best of all time?

Yes. Exactly my sentiments. They are spoiling his performance, which is truly an amazing talent.
I believe I was at this show and it was a Shriver Hall at Johns Hopkins and not at the Lyric Opera house
Anybody remember a happy song made by this guy with all band the chorus said somthing like that:
aa shooo de keeiioooo

It basiaclly means "there" is what I was told. So in other words it is like saying that is the end.
Was this concert the free concert that DirecTV broadcast almost 20 years ago?
RIP

What is the title of the song he is performing? I want to purchase it!
