Man, my season starts the first weekend of May, and I can not wait. Im looking at a couple of northern USA tournaments in April to maybe get one or two in early. I have some candidates in mind, just waiting for confirmation. My Skeeter came back to me last week fully rigged for tournament season. Brand new FXR21 Apex, wrapped, full Lowrance network with a Hummingbird Mega 360 setup in front as well. Two graphs in the cockpit, 3 on the biw (I would love if they would ban FFS). Full 36v lithium battery setup, talons with sea brakes this time. Im not sure I believe they are necessary, but It they save me a single fish on tournament days they will be worth it.
I spent all week prepping rods and reels, replacing fluoro and mono, spooling new reels, rearranging 3700’s and separating all my packs of plastic. Making sure I have enough of everything I might need. Knowing I do but ordering more anyway.
Man, I am so excited to hear that gun go off as is tradition for our opener every rear. Then waiting for my number to come up to make my run up the river. I live for that feeling.
Last year I had my best year ever. Two wins in our provincial trail, a win in a huge Striped Bass tournament, an invitation to this year’s Canadian Open, as well as my provincial Bass Championship (my tenth year straight as a captain), Team of the year. 30k, and won a boat I sold for a hefty profit.

I’m really mixed on this style of video for these tournaments.
On one hand I think the editing is really good and it’s definitely more fast paced so I can see why some people like it for that. Some of the effects on the clips( filter wise) are a little extreme at times but this video was better with it than the last.
On the other hand I like learning from these tournament videos, I like hearing why you are doing what you are doing and what caused you to make the decisions you’ve made. But I also understand from a tournament and competitive side of things you don’t want to give away all of your secrets. Also I like seeing content from the house, content while being on the road and just the personality side of things
Overall it’s a great video. I’d say if you found a happy medium between these two sides the videos would do even better. Keep up the good work Jacob, you and DC have been killing it for years and I know it’s just gonna keep on going!

The tx is over usually when these practice vlogs come out I watch them w intent of hoping to learn something but that's not the case anymore it's almost like u got to much editing all I'm seeing is moving around an few fish catches no explaining why your doing what your doing, why u went where u went etc so there's nothing to be learned here. The videos should to educate an engage or views are gonna go down I really hope some things change....

Fact of the matter is that he doesn’t have to show you anything at all so maybe you should try to be a little intuitive and stop complaining.. he shouldn’t have to baby feed you information throughout the hole video

I think there's maybe something going on or went on where he doesn't have Brodie anymore. Just a guess. I don't think he'll ever say nor should he if he doesn't want to. It's his channel and he can do with it as he pleases IMO.
From a viewer's standpoint, I hardly watch his stuff anymore though. While this video was an improvement editing-wise, it's still nothing like what gained him over 150,000 subscribers in the past. He still hasn't posted the Toledo footage and I have an idea why but I'll keep that to myself.
@@allieandbo had a couple really weird things happen with videographers the past couple months that made it very difficult to get content out. I’m hoping to be getting back to more of a consistent video drops here soon. Hopefully we can have a lot of fun with them too! Thanks for checking back in from time to time
