On the older ThinkStations and ThinkServers, you reflash the BIOS while having some of the system fans disconnected, and this will get rid of the FAN FAILURE prompt on boot up. I did it many times on my C30s, S30s and TS4x0s.
Would be cool to see if this trick still works.
Dell also came out with T7865 Threadripper workstation last year, so all of them are jumping on that train. The sad thing is, some of the Intel chips can still beat the single Threadripper since you can have two of them. AMD decided to only allow Threadripper to run in one socket motherboards. The only reason I think they did that is to prevent them from cannibalizing their EPYC server chips.

Can you make more videos on dell vs Lenovo workstations ?
Hola Jorge, en mi trabajo tenemos una think station p340, tiene un proce i7 10700, 16 de ram y una nvidia quadro p620, conectados 4 monitores los cuales tienen aproximadamente 20 camaras cada uno. lo que pasa es que cuandose saca algun video se pasma y en ocasiones se reinicia. Como podre mejorarla para que no le cueste trabajo sacar la chamba? O crees que podrias hacer un tuto de como ensamblar una estacion de trabajo para un centro de monitoreo con 4 monitores, o que cubra las cargas de trabajo como las que te comento? Porfa, ya me suscribi y estare al pendiente de tus videos. Saludos.
Hola! yo creo que el procesador aqui está muy bien. La maquina la he usado personalmente y si tiene un NVME SSD tambien le ayuda bastante. Yo de tarjeta gráfica me iria con una Quadro P4000. Ahora deben ser muy baratas en cualquier parte donde te encuentres y con los 8 GB de memoria, seguro que da menos o zero problemas. Si en caso de que siga siendo problematico, miraría si existe algun otro proceso de las camaras que esté causando el problema. Muchas gracias por el comentario y un saludo desde alemania!!!
Can you try to install non registered RAM, just normal RAM? AMD says that supports non registered RAM, but Lenovo just mention registered, so I'm really curious to know if it will boot.
Good videos but the models you are exhibiting are very expensive. It's ok to show these off but I doubt the majority of prosumers even need this much brute force. Interesting but just a curiosity. I speak for myself. Thanks for the video!
what is better ... z4 g4HP or P520 ?
Totally the same machines, I would recommend you the HP Z4 G4, a bit smaller, lighter and better design. But I think the P520 are nowadays cheaper. Thanks for watching!
Did you configure the P620 with the new 5000 series threadripper? Did you do benchmarks on the P620?

Unfortunately, its price is expensive
