Excuse the language but - This is fucking disgustingly amazing man. The fact you released the template etc is just unbelievable. It's so helpful to have a template like this even just from the mix side of things because in your track everything is mixed really well and placed really well in the stereo field etc. You have no idea how much this made my day! Thanks so much!
I don't know how you manage to make such great video's, but you always deliver. These 'creating a full track with Push 2' are gold. Many thanks, again!
This is by far the best video I have seen when it comes to actually using the Push2 for techno production. Thank you! I really hope you make more of these, this will definately get me using my Push more and open channels of creativity.
WOW! You are a real musician of the 21th century! I ordered my Push 2 a few days ago and wanted to get an overview with a bit music concerning the workflow on RUclips. And then I found YOU! What a pleasure to see You composing... You are engineering the specific sounds right from the beginning. That is exactly what I am trying for a while instead of making a raw concept and have all the work later - or never ;-) I hope that the integration with Push will gives me a kick in the right direction. Well done All You Need Is Live!
Absolutely brilliant paul, and an inspiration yet again, the improvement on the camera image we see in the finished video, is perfect now, especially the addition of the zoomed screen of the push showing all the macros ect, great addition well thought out. wow i can see exactly what you are doing now, that fact kept my attention all the way through, i made a comment about the poor screen image, on one your even recent videos, looks like you have attended o that, . Also push users, there are very few, on you tube showing the push 2 at this level and depth of use, however, HANDS DOWN no one showing us this level of content and giving this kind of value, for free, we are benefiting by getting a real insight as to just how powerful the push 2 is as a controller, please please do more like these, and keep displaying your marstary of this unit to us all. much appreciated yes the music might not be everyone's taste, but its the methods they should be concentrating on All the best Russell

I really enjoyed following along with your tutorial so far, thank you for the guidance and resources, I truly appreciate it! I'm having some issues though because the UI on my push 2 looks different than yours. The ASDR was in a different location and I had to toggle it on first through simpler > envelope. I haven't yet been able to find the LPF/HPF settings. If anyone knows, please let me know, thank you. I may or may not be having the issue because I can't wrap my head around setting up the sampler selector yet.
Crazy good video thanks man. just one tip maybe next time turn the music a bit more down so it matches your voice or speak louder hahah trying to follow this on speakers at night haahahah awesome stuff man thanks
Great tutorial, thank you. One thing, I didn't have to press clip then device to add step automation, i can just hold the notes and turn the decay for the hhats :)
hey,! thank you for this nice tutorial) but I have a question: I've tried to load some of my samples to the "Zone" (sample selector rack) they always play together and sample selector doesn't select one of them =( what could be wrong?
In the zone space where you drope your sample, in the top right corner you have Key, Vel, Sel. Click on sel, next to it you will see a space with number going from 0 to 127, right on it and select "distribute range automatically". Check Sampler in the manual if you wanna found out more about, this is just a specific use they are other way to use it too
check in the description, you have a link where you can find the video I explain it, then in the description of this video you will have the link of the rack
Hi. I know this is a long shot on an old video. Do you work with Mac? Do you know how to close a Macbook and keep playing with Push? I want to connect to Ableton with my Push 3, close the laptop and play. Standalone does not work for me as it gets too warm.
Hi, I have a mac but it's a mac studio, unfortunateluy i can't help you but pretty sure it's possible, a quick google search and you might find a solution.
The sample selector does'nt work as shown in the video at my end. I loaded multiple samples to the "zone" view, but the sample doesn't change when I use the "SAMPLE SELECTOR" knob
In once the drums loaded in the zone view, you need to click on the "Sel" button on the top, then close to it you have the sample select ruler (with the number from 0 to 127), right click on that, select "distribute range equally", now it should work, otherwise sends me an email at audioreakt[a]gmail[.]com and we will sort this out

that's hard to say, personally I would say push because I use ableton a lot...but the tr8s is I think better (more fun) if you want to create a full drum pattern (or even track) on the fly, without watching a screen, it's also easier and more fun if you wanna jam with the pattern. I love to create drum pattern with the push2 too (it's fun too), but I think the experience is less fun than with a tr8s...But for example once I would have the pattern on the tr8s, to turn it into a full track into ableton might be harder for me than if If was staying all in the box with push2... I porbably didn't help you with this answer to choose just one but you get an idea of good and bad thing to either choose push2 or tr8s...then it only depend you, how you wanna play etc...
@@audioreakt thanks for the clear anwser!! I also use ableton what about synths? If i get push for drums what is a fun synth to play with? Together with the push?? Thanks!! Helps me a lot :)

It's hard to balance, for me what's work was to be minimalist, limiting myself to just few tools, helps me knowing them better faster. I rarely use vst, just ableton stock plugin and a bit of hardware now, but I spend 5 years before without hardware and just focusing on ableton and learning music production, now that I feel more confident with ableton and music production, I started to buy again hardware... but even now I realise that I will rarely use more than 2 peices of hardware at the same time with ableton (usually one for the drum and one for a synth/lead). that's what works for me. The things also is that sync and latency with hardware are still nowaday a big counter productive step, no company except Elektron with overbridge allow you to plug and play your hardware and be perfectly sync and recorded in time with your daw...

Intro Track ID? I love it!!!
it's a short intro song created especially for the intro/jingle, it's not a full song
Can you make a full track without usinga DAW like ableton live, just as a stand alone performance unit
this is was made with push 2, it's a midi controller not a standalone unit (unlike their new push 3)
Hey, great video. What software do you use to detach the push 2 screen and enlarge it?
I use davinci resolve, it's free. Then I duplicate my footage, keep one normal, and the other I zoom & crop and put it above the other.
