Ryanne Bowers it could be our textures that are different but I would need much more gel for my edges and when the braid is complete my hang would be super stiff
Kalaya Washington ooh i understand. Yes that's true somethings the difference in texture will give you different results when it comes to braiding. Some have to put more effort (like us kinky girls) than others with looser curls for example. But don't forget to practice! Just keep practicing in the mirror and you will get it in no time 😊
Keep practicing! Trust me my two braidsb used to be a mess lol...but after lots of practice and some Shea butter and a satin scarf they look acceptable! Lol
@@ryannebowers2460 wearing a satin scarf helps to calm the hair down a bit haha and to train your hair by braiding it frequently

It's nice to see the 3C/4A hairstyes because I think that this hair type struggles between being type 3 and type 4 and tends to frizz a lot. My hair is more dense but your hairstyles would work well for me.
Girl SAME!!! I have hair that's between 3C/4A too and good lord my hair just loves to frizz. My mom calls it my "frizz halo". A lot of her styles seem like they would work well for this hair type.
@@heywaitMarlee Yes. Frizz is real for very soft kinky hair types 3C/4A and I find styling challenging from childhood but I didn't understand my texture then. The struggle of hair that's too soft to fro and your waves/curls turn to frizz. I just wear styles with my hair in and make the best of it. Thanks for sharing!

Avery Smith yes it does. Since protective styles are used to give the hair a rest, your hair gets the chance to grow naturally without too much manipulation. Constantly brushing or combing the curls causes breakage which makes the growing process slower.
Is this on like wet hair or what?

Slay Sariah No all these styles are to keep your hair and ends protected. Protective styles basically means that your ends are covered. So even box braids for example is considered a protective style. How you maintain it will tell if it will cause breakage or not. 🙂
