My priest came to my house when my husband was dying and he and I prayed the Devine Mercy Chaplet. I had been away from the church almost 40 years and had never heard of it. My husband was raised Lutheran. We prayed the Chaplet at 1400. At 1500 (3pm) my husband passed away peacefully whispering Love you. He had been agitated and frightened prior to this. I believe Jesus came for him and took him to heaven.
Thank you Father Ed for this thought provoking talk, your enthusiasm for spreading the word of the Divine mercy and the chaplet has given me ideas to become a disciple for the cause. I am a nurse who works in the CCU, going forward I will try to pray the chaplet for my patients especially those who are eminently dying. Sincere gratitude for this Lenten mission today
Maybe a silly comment, but can you please fix the spelling of the word devotion in the title? The one in white print that is over the photo of Father Broom?
Our Lord is merciful to all.... but to say that through Christ mercy alone you are saved bothers me. According to the bible, it clearly says that you have to truly accept jesus as your saviour and acknowledge that he died on the cross and redemeed you from sin, then you are saved. However, sinner who reject Jesus as their saviour , by their on will eill not be saved. When they reject Christ , they reject his mercy.... ✝️🙏
Hi do you mind if I give another perspective. Coming to the point, there are some who are too far from the church and the sacraments so the faithful can recommend those souls through divine mercy on behalf of them with confidence and faith. Why am I bringing up faith? When we pray our Lord's prayer we pray our father and not my father. So if we pray in general for everyone why not when we implore our saviour 's mercy? Just thinking out aloud. This is just my perspective. You can clarify with someone who is more religiously literate though. This perspective is touched upon in the video already I guess though. And faith can move mountains and since one is pleading for more fruits for kingdom of God through conversion, I guess with faith if one prays on behalf of one's brethren, I see no reason why it is not going to turn out. Of course graces would be showered only in proportion to our faith right?
