    I think the Thunder are going to be top 2 NBA teams this upcoming season after the very recent addition of Alex Caruso and trade of Josh Giddey. I think even in the beginning of his career he was the odd man out in OKC.

    • @Ball2930.
      @Ball2930. 7 месяцев назад +2

      Don’t think Alex is a player OKC needs, it’s better than Giddey but they need to prioritise bigs. Their starting 4 is JDub who’s 6’5 and 200lb who’s able to play shooting guards, he’s not Charles Barkley who’s strong enough to hold his own against some of the best bigs ever and average over 12 rebounds per season. They need a proper big and it’s evident when you see how Lively was making Chet a constant mismatch, was too athletic and strong for him.
      They need to try and acquire bigs, JDub would actually be a great shooting guard for the team, who’s stronger than most guys in his position, very athletic, a great slasher and with a shooting split of 54/43/81.

      Interestingly, I think it helps both teams. The Bulls treated Caruso like a part time role player even though he's one of the league's best defenders and he's got a 41% 3pt average last year. OKC gets someone who can score for them and improve their defense at the same time, the Bulls get someone who can defend, rebound, and pass but doesn't care about scoring so their other players can take all the shots.

      @@LeonardGums Nah....he's definitely a cut above with the things he does well. OKC just wanted him to be a 3pt shooter because that's their offense. That's not who he is so he'll be better with the Bulls. We'll see if it translates to a good career, but I think he's going to find a spot somewhere no matter what happens.
      Giddy was 13/8/6, then 17/8/6, then 12/6/5 in reduced minutes. Give the guy 35 minutes a game and he should settle in at least at 15/8/6. Those are respectable numbers. Just don't expect him to be a catch & shoot 3pt guy.

Luka has led Dallas to 2 ECF in 3 years and one of them where they made it too the final and just had one of the most best seasons ever statistically and had a VERY GOOD playoffs which is up there with the best. He is one of the best offensive players of all time alreadly and arguably the best tough shot maker of all time. If you want me too pull up more stats I can. Your going overboard here bro and this is coming from someone who has criticized Luka a lot during this playoffs. I get it that Luka is not doing as well right now and the norm is "hating" on him for some but remain objective and I love Shai dont get me wrong he is a ELITE PLAYER and a future MVP one day imo but he aint better then Luka as of right now atleast. though I agree in this specifc series Shai was better then Luka.

      "I'm tired of the 'if' 'if' and buts. When was the last time Kawhi was healthy in the playoffs mate . In addition let me remind at 22 years old, he took the Mavericks to Game 7 against the title-favorites Los Angeles Clippers that year, despite having a worse roster. He dominated HEALTHY Kawhi and Paul George that series, two of the best perimeter defenders at the time, averaging an insane 36 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists per game which demolishes your argument He also defeated the number one seed OKC Thunder and tormented the Minnesota Timberwolves' number 1- ranked defense and had a historic playoff run. Yet, you choose to ignore these achievements and did kawhi and the clippers stop him from doing this?
      And what about his numerous other impressive performances during his career and especially in the playoffs? Like his 73-point game, his 60-20-10 triple-double where he had a insane clutch play, and his game 7 against against the Sun? Did oKawhi and the Clippers stop him from achieving these feats? Luka has been doing this his whole carerr LOL against many different teams LOL where Kawhi and the Clippers are not even in the convos. This playoff run is not only the impressive thing Luka has done in his carrer which I think is what your trying to say.
      According to your logic, are you saying that if the Clippers had Kawhi, they would have made it to the NBA Finals and replicated the Mavs' success with Luka? LOL! It's also amusing how you deflect attention from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander being better than Luka.
      On to Harden Luka has demonstrated better playmaking and passing abilities, intelligence, court vision, composure, and rebounding compared to James Harden while producing elite scoring numbers. He has also proven to be a more consistent playoff performer than Harden. And don't even get me started on Harden's scoring which is what he is over at Luka at- being compared to him is not an insult at all so I dont get your point there.
      Luka has already earned one fewer All-NBA First Team selection than Harden in just six years, five of which he was an All-NBA First Team member. That's an incredible feat! Moreover, Luka has made it to the NBA Finals and is on a trajectory for more success. Yt people wills till do this harden gimmick and agenda and already put the label in his head that he is another Harden and wont win a championship (when he is only 25 so i dont get that, Jordan's first ring was at 28, Lebron's was at 27 and your sample size for him not winning a championship is ONE PLAYER lol) instead of being logical and watch the games. The eye test and stats back it all and he has alreadly made the finals having a historic playoffs where he had to go through a very tough run. Luka has done ALL of this despite only being 25. Also Luka won at Europe's highest level at 17.

    Revisionist history… 5 seed against a much better roster + 1 seed. Also, have to consider usage rate and how Luka was being guarded

      the roster was not much better LOL or else okc wouldve won, SGA was playing out of his mind and they still lost, but youre just gonna choose to ignore the fact that the mavs had the best record post trade deadline and that okcs team is literally filled with no playoff experience rookies 🤣🤣🤣

Are you serious? 😂 the mavs were 2 times the rebounding team that okc ever was and had the best defense in the regular season post deadline and in the playoffs. and we all know luka and kyrie werent the reasons for the crazy jump in defense, so i wonder who on the mavericks improved them SO MUCH. Better offensive player LeBron or shai in 2024?

    • @TheGamingShogun
      @TheGamingShogun 7 месяцев назад +1

      This year alone could be Shai but both have their own strengths. I think LeBron is the better shooter and playmaker and generates more points but Shai is currently the better finisher and off dribble mid-range shooter. It's really just what you prefer in an offense. Both players are at their best with a bunch of shooters and off ball players around them
