It’s 2022 and I just bought the AXE I/O because it’s still the best option for guitarists. I currently own 6 audio interfaces 😬🫤 and will be selling them off because I will no longer use them 🙂
It's possible to use this interface with IPhone Amplitube 4, Garageband ou Bias FX, 1 channel before the preamp head and 2 channel after the preamp, in the effect loop, like 4 cable method ? Will have sound "Latency" problem ? I would like to replace my effects processor rack. Could you make a demonstration video ?
Even on forums where IK Media is posting and responding to this question, they deflect and merely state that the latency is low because that's what guitar players want. Seen what the AXE interface offers in value and all the functions geared towards guitar players I would love to go ahead and purchase it, but having no tangible figures on round trip latency and a manufacturer dodging answering questions about it makes that I can't go ahead and purchase it.
@filo01xx You're going to need one hell of a PC if you plan to set it for a sample rate of 32 and not have issues. If one is concerned about latency they can do much better than this. Julian Krause reviewed the Moto M2 and measured 4.2 milliseconds at 128 samples and 3.2 milliseconds at 64 samples and that interface costs more than $100 less than the AXE I/O. It also has fantastic sounding preamps.
Easy reamping. Record clean DI, reamp using profile of your choice later via the amp out. Apart from that it's not that different from a regular audio interface no matter how fast it is and what extras it offers for guitarists. I'll get it anyway but not for Amplitube... ;)
If you're not a guitar player then this is too expensive for what it offers you. If you're more interested in vocals I would suggest the Motu M2. Superb sound quality for the money. Excellent preamps and very low latency.

The AXE I/O it's awesome ! Nice job by IK Multimedia! Wonderful test! Got JFET input buffer in Class A! Reamping option! What else to ask form IK?

@@aseanwise Maybe a late answer but the round trip latency is really low. I did not measure it but it is really low.

Price?
any thoughts on if this is worth it if your already using amp modellers like Kemper etc?

@@DrScythe cheers. The easy Reamping is nice but I wonder if it offers enough over the duet. (apart from price)
I don’t have guitar but how does it sound wit vocals ?
