Wow, the power across the globe of those 4 BP ladies is crazy! When we look at phases of fashion, music, chemistry/attitude, unmatchable video magic, etc, Blackpink is head and shoulders above ANY boy/girl group on earth. Even on those variety shows BP is tremendous. How on earth did YG let things get so negative regarding their renewals or more likely "no" renewals...
Could you imagine if all was well and BP simply had a well-deserved rest the remaining of 2023, and came back in 2024 with new music for Coachella 2024... the BUILD UP of dropping a snippet here and a little there would have been astonishing?
I don’t think YG let anything get negative. It was just that all the vultures were waiting at the gate (with foreknowledge that BP’s renewal was coming up), and many of them (US and Chinese companies) can easily outbid YG because their market caps are so much higher.
