Well JoJo does have the luxury of being a story like 30 years old, only starting its anime in 2012, and not being ongoing Also, since parts are essentially their own individual stories with set beginnings and endings, they can animate at their own pace and not have to worry at all about catching up or anything like that, especially since there's at least five more years of content even without breaks, unlike One Piece which is still ongoing with no end in clear sight and an anime so close to the manga that filler is necessary for them to continue making the show as fast as they do. JoJo got an anime at literally the perfect time imo, any earlier and it likely wouldn't have looked as good but any later and we'd still be on part 2 or 3.

Noah Hartman during the start of the fight in the manga, it was explicitly stated by the narrator and giorno that the time is 4:43am in the morning. That’s exactly when ghiaccio attacked at 4:44am (heh, mista) and the fight continued on until the sun had risen.
White Album itself isn’t being harmed by a nail. Whatever damages the suit, it can repair itself. It’s indestructible. If you want proof, then why did the nail hole disappear during the final moments of the fight? The suit simply repaired the damage. But ghiaccio himself isn’t invincible. So anything that enters the suit can still harm him.

If an attack were to be rebound into the ice it wouldn't even damage Ghiaccio since White Album does not transfer damage to the user, it is a disposable resource he can create and undo at will (like in the beggining of the fight when it was just a big chunk of ice around him that got broken then he molded it into a suit for traversal or when he just closed the hole left by Mista in his forehead).
