COTA banned Kevin from being on their property at the inaugural first year MotoGP race in Austin. Apparently, there was a legal dispute even though Kevin was one of the consultant designers of the Circuit of America race track. Eventually, they pulled their heads out of that dark spot and made him the grand Marshall of COTA once they figured out who he actually was. Kevin’s hometown is right down the road in Paige Texas.

El único que fue capaz de domar un potro autenticamente ingobernable ( No había curva que no intentara tirarle por los suelos) y convertirlo en un caballo ganador de carreras. Y nunca abandonó a la gente de Suzuki que le dieron la primera oportunidad, aunque le hubiese sido todo más fácil con otras motos. El más grande, sin duda, bajo mi punto de vista.
It would be very interesting to see what Marc Marquez would do on a 500 - it's hard to say - lots of experience on 2 stroke GP bikes, (although he never rode a 250), but lots of seat time on Moto 2 bikes with "0" electronics- he'd probably figure it out eventually, but like Eddie Lawson said "I don't care WHO u are, or the amount of experience you have, it takes u a YEAR to learn how to ride a 500 and most of them NEVER figure it out -
