Its so magical to watch a child grow into an adult in front of your eyes! Every time I look at Nevaeh I start smiling even before she starts talking. We have seen this girl grow from a child into a lovely lady. Brilliant, creative and confident. I guess reason I really enjoy her videos is because I have a daughter who is her agemate.😊

not trying to be a debbie downer just sharing some survival tips. you can suffocate on your own co2 if you get snowed in, so it's a good idea to clear the area around your car or keep the window cracked when you're sleeping. in cold weather the battery's charge can reduce by 30% so it's a good idea to start it up and let it run/charge for 15 minutes daily, you can also use the warmth of the engine to melt some snow for drinking water if need be.
I have got to say Nevaeh you have guts. I told you last time not to run away from home until you are older. I stand by that still. I bet your Dad and Mom did not get much sleep. Time to go home and really sleep in a warm bed. Nevaeh you are a great daughter growing into a lovely young woman. Kudos!

Way to have your dad help you make the fire! Put the fam to work! Fun times and I think everyone should have to camp in the cold....at least once. Reminds me of camping with the boy scouts back in the day in the freezing cold, in feet of snow. Yeah, didn't sleep much!

Girl, you crazy! (Actually I did a solo backpacking x-country ski trip into a local natural area when I was a sophomore in college. It got down to 3 degrees overnite and I woke up with the tent about 3" from my mouth. It snowed during the night and the weight of the snow pushed down on my little tent. I made it and thought i would never speak about it again.). Keep Being You!!

Cut the potatoes in thin strips/circles, add butter and garlic (if you can have those) wrap in foil and put in the camp fire. That's good too! You can still put whatever toppings on your potato.

I think you're totally prepared to live on your own in a car. You've got this thing mastered! It's time to bust out and go see the world! Some hot packets, a gel sleeping pad for the summer heat, your fav instant coffee (maybe pick up a Jet Boil to make it with)... and you are ready to explore.

One thing if you’ve never tried or had for cooking on open fire is.. Take foil put in peas, green onions and anything else you like and want seasoning butter.
Can make up anything on foil to cook meals for camping. We use to freeze water in a used clean milk jug (to keep items cold..Then when thawed you’ll have water to use) We would freeze our hamburger patties or ground chicken/turkey meant which helps keep cold and safe in ice chest too.. Then it would be thawed out when you got were you’d be camping. Ready to cook or it may stay cold enough to use when you want it)
One thing for fire starters can use the toilet papers roll when paper is gone. Can save lint from clothing dryer to put into the paper tube.. When it’s full enough it works great to start fire 🔥.. Can drip wax onto them to make it work even better!
Read Fox Fire books. (hard to find them- maybe they have them on internet for reading) They show how to do many different things that one needs; HEALTH, Nature Foods,Herbs, all kinds of information!
Anyway your getting to experience and explore lots as young as you are!

It was a great video but not my kind of weather I am originally from New York City where the winters can be cold and I moved to sunny and hot Florida but I got to give you props for doing this adventure. Glad that Dad helped you with the fire and you were to bake a potato and add the fixings to it and have a nice dindin. It looked mouth watering to me. Glad you mom told you to stay on property. 11:58 If you didn't know, your central rear seat belt disconnects completely and retracts up to the ceiling, so you don't end up tangling yourself in it when sleeping in the back.
I once camped in the back of our outback in below freezing weather. The one thing that helped was having a golden retriever to sleep with us to help keep us warm. We didn't have sleeping bags, just blankets and man it was cold.

Nevaeh I have slept in my car for 3 years 2 full Winters it's not easy but it can be done the cheapest way to eat is canned food that does not need a microwave or refrigerator classic forks and spoons works great and you may not like it but you may need to run your car for heat you won't go through a whole lot of gas and idle

Nevaeh, chives are really thin and tiny, while spring/green onions are thicker and three times as long. You need an Itaki pot to cook using an external power pack. My Itaki Pro steams rice and vegies in 30 minutes. Plus it’s really cute! Get Dad’s advice about suitable rechargeable power units.
