I have watched what seems like a dozen hitting videos on this game and looked up dozen of articles on how to hit better. You sir, are amazing. I feel like everything just clicked and you didn’t try to over complicate things or force people to use one camera. Keep up the amazing work
First tip: the game doesn’t like you. The sooner you accept that randomness the better. I can’t describe how much that helped me. It also explains why that one time I chopped a ball pretty late to the right fielder and it just dropped like a stone right in front of the guy.
This game is good but when it comes to hitting, its atrocious, (swing time good=pop up ground out or strike) (Swing late=same nonsense) there’s no control on the hitting. It’s really terrible, they need to tone the hitting difficulty down a notch on both hall of fame and legend.
Okay so I’m not the only one who is like why does every single time I hit a ball it goes directly to a player. But for the other CPU team they can hit it all over the damn field
@@seaniveroni5579 not using the pci basically just turns it to a RNG... I didn't use pci till late last yr but I learned u basically have to otherwise ur in a big disadvantage
So boring playing on strike zone. Zoom and strike zone 3 for me. I just hope it's possible to b a elite player playing on them views cause I plan on playing this game for years to come.
I wish the pitch recognition AI was better. I can’t tell you how many times the pitcher has throw clear and obvious balls and the AI calls a strike. And then I’ll get on the mound and throw a strike that is 75% in the zone, and the AI will call a ball every single time.
Bruh it shouldn't be that hard to hit...and you should be able to use any style to hit and not get punished for it..seems like they only want you to use zone hitting in this gm smh
Putting the ball in play is easy. Putting it in a gap is hard. The fielders all have Jedi reflexes, run 45mph, and can throw a 90+mph strike across the diamond while falling over with their momentum going the other way. Hitting is balanced, it’s the defense that’s overpowered.
Also, zone hitting is the hardest to master, so it’s the most rewarded. It’s likely he pitching interfaces. Pinpoint is the hardest to learn but is the most accurate after you learn it.
Shit that’s the fun lol I don’t follow baseball like that , but I enjoy the graphics that I started playing the show back in ‘17. I skipped and played again in 19 But I suck. But it’s rewarding to actually seeing your self get better. It’s honestly the only sports game with an actual skills game. It really takes that coordination
Hitting with that pci shit is so fuckin hard and I just cant get it. Could t get it in 21 or in this game. Soon as realize someone is using it online I just quit and find a new game because they hit every pitch no matter what
Why does my character just run past bases, and I have to struggle to either go back, or he just continues running and get stopped by the next base. Wtf is with this game.
I use directional because I don't like zone and having to move it around but I think zone hitting is the way they want you to play and punish other styles. I get SO many hits that are labeled GOOD and they are always outs. This game should not be this hard based on hand movements and pressing buttons. Please help, I'm always early on most
It’s similar in zone hitting. Fielders are constantly on god mode and make 15 ESPN highlight plays per game. The biggest difference I’ve noticed is the ability to hit dingers with zone better than directional. Plus you foul off pitches you chased more.
@@liionxyz7131 So the hitting styles aren't equal? You are punished in online play if you don't use zone? The hitting styles aren't level at all? That doesn't seem fair. I don't like zone but that is the only way to win consistently in online play? Not fair.
@@lacey457-z5e Zone is also way more difficult to learn so players who use zone should get rewarded for learing something. Directional is the easiest style of them all so ofc u wont be as good if u dont put time into learning something more difficult that also rewards u more
@@liionxyz7131 I agree with you about being rewarded for learning something more difficult, that's a basic life principle. The question I have is did the makers of the Show set it up to punish players for not using zone.
@@lacey457-z5e I feel the same way...I don't like zone, and I don't play online...every video I have watched talk about using zone to hit...seems like you get punished for using the other hitting styles smh..

Wish hitting results were more consistent in this game. So many pop ups off of squared up balls this year.
Nothing but tappers
Perfect is bad this year, seems like early no matter where pci is is the way to go
I know, I hit a perfect timing in the top of the pci circle, and it hit the top of the fence

What Non Fastball Pitch/Location Gives You The Most Trouble?
The area just below the bottom of the zone. Hard to lay off pitchers down there.
Sliders away and low curveballs😩
Low and in sliders to a righty. Physically cant seem to bring my pci down there for some reason lmao
Low curve, slider away, change up down and in.
hanging curves, I can't recognize them. I'm working on it but my hitting is bad

Good stuff man.thx
What’s your online rank ?
Justin Upton all day
Very good info
Okay I’ll admit. That NolanHapreperLover line got me. Instasub. Just saying Harper gets a fast ball right in the side every up.
