Nice, that's helpful to know how to do this install yourself. Fortunately, I've got an SUV with a receiver already, but I know folks that want to do this.
I ran into this same problem with my wife's 2017 Lancer. My buddy's 2008 had that "sideways" muffler. Mitsubishi changed the Lancers' exhaust routing after 2011 so instead of it piping between the rear control arms, it goes up, over and around the passenger control arm. The shop that installed it told me they had to remove the muffler to install the hitch so now she's driving around without a muffler. These hitch companies need to do their research because 2008-2011 and 2012-present have different exhausts and like you, we don't think going to a custom exhaust shop is acceptable.

Hi sir nice video and it helps us to get an idea how to install and choose the right hitch for our car.my question is do u think that hitch can pull a trailer with a single jet ski on it?and what is the link of that hitch sir thank you very much...
According to specs, it can take 200 lb tongue and 2000lb towing.
I think a single jet sky will be fine.

If you have a bike rack that does on the receiver, then yes
Dang...that sucks about the muffler.
I know, I did order the replacement, will be uploaded next week at least the hard part is done!
