I still need to read Two Minutes with the Devil and All That's Left in the World. This was a great wrap up, Kasha! Thank you so much. Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
Hope you enjoy them when you get to read them. I truly loved those two. And you also get the sequel to All that's left in the world in 2024 Merry Christmas 🖤🖤
I picked up Five Survive at the local indie bookstore last week!😃 I'm excited to read it! I love what you said about not using the terms "best" or "worst" with books! I agree that everyone enjoys different things. We all have our favorite books, and it's awesome to celebrate that! 😃🤘
Nice!! I really hope you enjoy it. I always thought book roasts were funny but with time and meeting more authors I feel it is a bit unfair to make a video just to talk about bad books. I will still say if I liked a book or not in my wrap up but I do not want to make a video of The Worst 🙈
@horror-sickness Thank you! I read the first few pages, and I'm stoked! It seems pretty intense for a YA novel. Yes, I really loved the point you made about not focusing negative energy like that. After I watched your video, I noticed all the "worst of 2023" videos that were popping up. You're the first BookTuber that I've seen take that stance, and it's so refreshing! And, as an author myself, I truly appreciate it!🙏🖤
@@holbrookjr I am so glad you are loving Five Survive. I enjoyed it a lot. Holly Jackson truly pushes the horror even if her books are YA Thank you! I just feel like yes, worst of videos are fun but we are also bashing the work of someone that put all their heart and effort into their book. I can talk about how a book didn't work for me or why I didn't like it in my wrap ups but I feel bad making a video to talk negative about authors and books.
The Drift was in my top 5 books of last year. I was happy to hear it was included in your favorites. Other Booktubers have been dragging it. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and I wish you a Happy New Year! 🎄🎉🍾
Oh really? I didn't know other people were dragging it hahaha I really enjoyed it and I thought she did such a good job at separating the POVs and then flawlessly combining them. I had fun Hope you are having a great holiday season and I wish you all the best for 2024
Kasha, this was such a fun video! You have some of the best BEST BOOKS OF 2023 that I've seen so far. I still have to check out The Launch Party to see if I'll enjoy it. And now you have me curious to check out... Puzzle House, Getting Away With Murder and Let's Play Murder. Not sure about the YA ones cause that's usually not my thing but I'll look into them. 🙈 Hope 2024 is another great reading year for you! (Oh and let's hear it for both of us loving The Only One Left! It's a miracle! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🤭)
Thank you!!! Honestly I have read many things I enjoyed so I will take it hahaha I would be curious to know what you think about The Launch Party. I am glad though that was not our buddy read. Oh well, you might want to try a YA to see if you like it, who knows :P I am excited for us to read the new Riley Sager 👀
I am reading looking glass sound at the moment and it is my first caitriona ward. And I just got myself a copy of the last house on needless street as well. I finally have my copy of heartstopper 5 and I am really looking forward to. Something wild and wonderful is one I have heard so much about and maybe I should try it myself. I also just got myself a copy of a good girl's guide to murder so next year I should try my first holly jackson book hopefully! And if I like it will eventually work my way to five survive. And will definitely read all that's left in the world at some point
Heartstopper volume 5 is pure perfection. I really enjoyed The last house on needless street and do want to read more by her. I am so excited for you to read A good Girl's Guide To Murder. It is so much fun and such a good twisty mystery. I have fallen in love with Holly Jackson and will buy anything she publishes YA books are just so much fun to read and they are releasing more horror books for YA readers and that makes me really happy 🤧
Excellent video! Have you read Handling The Undead? Would be interested to hear your thoughts. Two Minutes With The Devil is definitely going on my tbr. Hope you have a Merry Christmas!
I am excited to get to Mary in January. Everyone seems to love it!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did 🥰
7:03 looks cute added it to my tbr

@@horror-sickness - Merry Christmas!
I’ve been really loving YA this year too, specially in short story format, queer romances and horror
Nice!! I do plan to keep reading YA in 2024

I'm really intrigued by Kathryn Foxfield's books! I need to give them a go!
Yes!! I think she is great for murder mysteries that follow a group of people. She does that so well
