Ive been day trading 2 months. Today is day 5 of my first green streak. Past 4 days was small green but green and consistent and decent. Today i did my best yet. Left alot. I only got 51 cent of the move but for me right now was my biggest trade by far yet. Didnt break any if my rules and didnt change the way im trading. I know it doesn't make sense to most to cut off a winner but im new and small account and im moving up! I swung hard enough that it moved my account up almost 9 %. Super stoked

I have been trading about the same amount of time. It took about a month and a half to really get the feel of it. I am now happy to make $20 on a trade. Small green days in a row help for sure. Keep it up
@@andreweven1013 that's really cool. I think they most important part is get the feel of it and understand what we are doing. Profits will come and it's really fast for u guys considering all the advice from RUclips saying it takes 2-3 years to be profitable. I don't like to risk at all. I prefer to thoroughly research the entire project before I dive in. Today, I entered Trojan, and I plan to hold it long-term, the project seems to have a lot of potential. Is anyone else here familiar with this one?

I'm sorry to hear that Ross and thank you for sharing it with us. I had a worst day than yours also that I lost more than $20k in an hour because I didn't set STOP LOSS out of confidence and was against the trend...... It was absolutely stupid .... being stubborn and emotional🤦🏽♂️

Thankful for these recaps. After those last two red days feeling i was a little frustrated but seeing you go red with 10 years of experience cooled me off. Then easily made it all back today because i didnt trade past max loss earlier this week.
It would be awesome to see you make a video that touches on the basics of backtesting. Ive been trying to find a way to gain some consistency but I still find myself confused by the process. I think that’d really help a lot of people gain an understanding of what backtesting actually is and with the way you teach it’d be such a great video!
Thank you again for the great recap. I started out Red today. My timing was off. I bought at 748am into SGD just as it dropped hard. I jumped into SLNH twice 801am, 808am, both before hard drops. But two trades on REBN took away about half of my losses. This knocked my loss today down to a more manageable amount.
I think the root of my problem is excessive caution to hit the buy button. I wait till the stock has "proven" itself. But by then it is ready to dip down. It is funny to say, but MORE aggression would make my losses smaller. Right stocks, but late to buy it.
Love your recaps. I was able to pull 10% of REBN today.
Nice to see you recovered a bit here ross, after two really bad days, you needed to. By changing your strategy around and not being over aggressive it worked out better for you. The golden rule of day trading, you have to remain disciplined to get back on track, that started to happen today. It does set a good example for your students. So i am sure with continued progress, you will make back the money you lost in no time. I hope there won’t be no more red days for a while now or should I say if there was it wasn’t through you being reckless.
Keep up the good tutorials as that is one thing red days do bring, makes what you do more educational, but in saying that I don’t want you having any.

I stubbled across your channel yesterday and what a few of your videos now, great content. Hoping it improves my odds. Unfortunately didn't help yesterday. Day ended with bit of a loss.

On average how much are you throwing initially at REBN like in your example? Do you have a specific % gain you cut and run at or just watch the market? Thanks!
REBN, the MACD20 is green on the 5min but red on the 1min. sometimes. Which one do you consider?
I captured 20% of the REBN upswing thanks to your video from yesterday.
Depends on the chart setup mainly.
My thought is they're onto us day traders. They watch when we get in, then they dump the stock. And take our money.
First Green Day in a week or so . 20$ of profit with a 1000 dollar account . No margin , cash account . I have accepted if I am only green 5 dollars it’s green . Base hits , till I’m able to size up .

I have noticed that the best time for playing the market is from opening to about 11:00am
8 to 11 for me but I usually get on sooner
my first day real Ross. went after REBN but caught the red candles and wound up stopping out for minor loss on the day. Can you do a video targeting flushes and jackknives and strategies for them? Also i am TOS and level 2 is horrible to read. have to constantly look up and down instead of directly. need a cleaner view like you have in TOS somehow.

First day ever trading, found out about REBN today, but was late to the party. How do you find the news so fast? I'm struggling with that part.
So when you see a day nothings really moving do you just not trade at all those days
Depends
Pretty confident the answer is yes. If you trade only one perfect setup, why would you break that rule and trade anything else? Taking a trade just to see, when the setup is clearly not there sounds like a recipe to disaster to me. But what do I know, I'm new.
What do the differently colored vertical sections in the chart mean (minute 10:49)? I think it could refer to pre-market times. But what exactly are the so many yellow and blue shaded ones and the big(longer period) yellowish shaded one?
They are pre-market and post market trading, Ross time frame shows multiple days so it includes prior premarket and afterhours trading sessions.

I have a very expensive cup of coffee today. It hosed me out of just under $100. By the time I looked over several stocks, that was the only one that had volume, but it was short-lived. I got in and immediately it tanked. This week has been terrible

Red day for me, but always reassuring to see you trading the same stocks I am. Gives me things to examine about my when and why around an entry/exit comparatively.
A red day where I adhered to my rules and learned about what I did wrong is a success none the less.

how do you trade REBN before market ? doesnt it break the strategy you are preaching which is double bottom >
I didn't trade Rebn. it was hitting 200ema on the day. is it okay to trade if it breaks 200 ema at opening bell, or should you not trade it? I decided not too. Thoughts comments?
200 was around $3.30. It broke that and is barely holding it still
It depends on volume, and really momentum find yourself a good momentum indicator, I like the MACD. but I change the settings 3,10,16 learn about that and it should help you a lot. If you don't do the MACD just make sure it measures momentum and you understand how to effectively use it. I have a free Discord group if you want to learn more hands on. But definitely keep watching Ross he is one of the best.
Find a Momentum indicator like the MACD!

He paid a team of developers to make his scanner. I use TradingView and it took me awhile to figure out hot to set the filter.

I was green and gave it back one of those days, but did cap my losses so overall not bad. More to learn, another day another trade. I'll call this one a successful red day kept tight stops at times probably way to tight should have stayed in longer at the beginning of the move was taking quick profits. Thanks for the recap! I can't even see premarket data and every day I see how much I am missing out because of it. Are there specific brokers that offer that data?
Seeing pre-market data is usually an option to turn on/off on most platforms/brokerages. It's usually free or included with whatever plan you have. You can see it on the free version of tradingview. Trading pre-market is something different though. Only some brokerages allow it and those that do might allow it for different hours than others. Trading pre-market seems crazy to me but apparently it works for Ross. Volume is usually very low and it's hard to tell what direction a stock is going to go. And I'm not sure how easy it is to get your orders filled during pre-market. I guess that depends on your brokerage. I wouldn't mind learning strategies for trading pre-market.
Hey Ross, what broker do you use for your regular trading? I know on that small account that you used the offshore broker that you could trade often. Also Do you have to wait for the funds to settle in your account before you’re able to trade with the funds that you were trading with or are you able to continuously trade with the funds that you were just buying and selling with that day on the stock market?

Hey ross thanks for the amazing videos. Ive been watching them the past few months and they have helped so much. however, im not sure how day trading is considered when filing taxes, particularly for washsale rule. Would it be possible to make a video on this subject or if someone in the chat can explain how it works to me? I just don’t see how in day trading when you constantly buy and sell the same stock, how that can avoid wash sale rule

I absolutely botched TIVC, two of my three trades I had to hit the bid and using TOS hot keys I can’t have an offset with hot keys and the price ripped down and I didn’t get filled 💀💀

It's funny the moment ross has bad days on the same days as me. Then he hits green and on that day is the exact day the stock market click I see what he means by the obvious stock... I was mainly reserver playing with small capital 6 trades and I called so many obvious stock . It clicked on day 45 of trading.
