$300 and 125, that's about $2.40 per swing. It's awsome if you don't get tested, but if you do you're SOL.

Just curious how repetitive bp swings are different than total overall swings? Isn’t 125 swings all at once the same as 125 swings over the course of several sessions? Love the reviews!

In hopefully a very simple sense this is the best way I can explain it here in the comments.
Repetitive swings help in breaking down the fibers in the barrel, allowing the bat to achieve its maximum pop or trampoline effect. However, excessive use beyond the break-in period can lead to overuse and potential performance degradation. Continuous use, especially in adverse conditions such as cold weather, can affect the durability of composite bats. As the fibers continue to stretch during BP you are more likely to incur microfractures which would lead to possible breakage and compression issues depending how they occurred.
It's the same reason we wait a few hours or even until the next day to compression test the bats after swinging so the fibers can return to a normal state.

@@AverageDudesSlowpitch so you’re saying the fibers of the bats “recover” similar to human muscle fibers?

In a very basic sense sure. Same reason you’d get different compression numbers if your bat was left in a hot car all day versus stored at room temp or in the cold.

😢 sad to see it hit that low after 120/130 hits.

Yeah it was gas but definitely a disappointing end compression

The Associations especially USSSA need to take the burden off the consumer ... Counting your swings is ridiculous ! I should be able to buy that bat and swing and not worry ... You wanna question a bat with 3 K swings or something crazy fine ... Anyways the new Juno tech seems like fire ...

I feel ya. It is a PIA now that bats are tested. That said, it is that balancing act between holding compression, durability, good feel and most importantly....performance. manufacturers could easily make a bat that started at 320 and took 1k swings to get to 240. But I bet it would not sell well. Most guys want a rocket launcher out of the wrapper. Look at the Tantrum 1 piece: failed compression miserably, but sold out everywhere!

@@SluggerStark Let's say you get this bat and put 150 swings with your team before a tournament just like ADV did ... Ooo this bat feels great and you stick in the bag ... Tournament director tests and it fails ...

@@johnsurabian2010 I have actually had that happen before. Not with a 240 bat, but with a 220 bat. OG Easton Fireflex. Literally put a round of BP before a tourney....20 -25 swings and it tested just under 220 on 3 sides. Ya, I wasn't happy at the time. Keeping with that particular bat; I still have it and it tests like, 180 now. Pretty well a senior bat and still going strong. Bats were supposed to break shortly after testing under 220 and now 240....but that is a bunch of BS.
You could always go back to super stiff, durable bats that take a long time to break in and would hold in a compression range for hundreds of swings. Kinda like the pre 220 Utrip bats. But people forget guys wanted immediate performance back then as well....tons of shaved/rolled bats.

@@SluggerStark I never bought into the " Break Before Fail " stuff . Think about it ? So your 220 should have broken and you get a new one ... Bat companies would lose their shirt if they could actually do this .
