  • George Galloway was dubbed the 'MP for Baghdad' for his support for Iraqi people during the sanctions on the country that killed millions. He was also accused of being in the pocket of Saddam Hussein when he said there were no weapons of mass destruction. He spoke on 'Not the Andrew Marr Show' about his experience at the time, his love for Iraq and how he has been proved right.

In the West it is not about who was/is right but rather who has the money to give and for what they will pay out.
The media KNEW it was a lie but if you noticed,it was the "senior" journalists who were out then pushing the claim - they pay packages are too big to risk it.

It would be prudent for the International Criminal Court (ICC) to proceed and bring to justice the perpetrators of what is clearly a fraudulent pretext to engage in war against the sovereign country and people of Iraq. Hundreds of thousand lives were lost, and millions of families displaced as a result. Not to mention the economic and social hardships they had to go through. History will not be too kind to these individuals and the government they represent. ICC has a role to play, and they should seriously look into these matters regardless of the power structure opposing them. Failure to do so will render their subsequent endeavors as purely selective that is ultimately politically driven rather than in the pursuit of true justice.

I became elected to Doncaster Labour Group's Local Campaign Forum in 2018, along with Nikki McDonald (the wife of the fabulous Tosh), and I was very quickly nominated for Treasurer by Mayor Ros Jones... the CLPs hated me for kicking them up the arse, and we were probably the first truly Democratic Socialists on that panel in 30+ years. One meeting we quoted something George had said regarding the faux antisemitism smears against Marc Wadsworth and Jackie Walker, and were met with howls of derision and spite from the others gathered; the Blairites that had dominated the Group since time immemorial. It kills me to say they now have total control of the Labour Group/Forum in Doncaster; myself being forced to relinquish all my local positions after being suspended for publishing Sir Trevor Chinn's payments to the PLP. I've stayed in Labour, but only so I can attend one last branch meeting (now my suspension is done), and look those councillors - who were elected espousing the values of Jeremy Corbyn's vision for this country - in the eye when they stand again for 'Labour' next month. Like Tosh and Nikki, I feel they should resign in disgust at Starmer, and stand as independents.

Why did the USA invade Iraq? Iraq had no responsibility for the 99/11 which was completely Saudi Arabian. There were no weapons of mass destruction which was known at the time. There was no need to invade for oil which could be sourced from other countries. My theory is that it was done at the behest of Israel because Saddam Hussein was providing much finance to the Palestinians.
