@@mantraki Ruination didn't fail because it didn't have a TV series, Ruination failed because the writing was HORRIBLE, the majority of the skins were bad, and the in-client stuff was barely functional and required insane grinding when it did work. Plus Ultimate Spellbook version 1 was boring as fuck and died within a few days of release.

SURELY it isn't because how watered down the skin looks compared to everything else, EVEN compared to the skin's concept art, must be the helmet. Also he is again an old guy, why? Yeah usually have that with the majority of new skins. Recall is dope, dance might be different and dope, rest of the skin basic. I don't think they're good at making basic animations look special. Like how are they gonna make Nasus Q look different.
Pool Party Pantheon, his Spear is a pool baton, his shield is a circular trampoline, his helmet a diving mask. When he ult, he throw the trampoline on the ground and does little jumps on it before lauching into the sky

They should have leant more into the wolf part of chosen of the wolf. Dragonslayer has him land as a dragon, why not have him land as a wolf in this one?
when the music video dropped, i was convinced that this was going to be the best skin in the game. needless to say, when i saw the model, it was quite disappointing. none of the chosen of the wolf skins live up to the music video. the swain prestige is the only one that looks even remotely good. the worst part about all of this is that riot won’t use any of the feedback they’re receiving from the pbe to improve these skins at all. 2024 has been a really bad year for skins.
I'm still waiting on the reverse skinline for Pantheon and Aatrox, Panth gets darkin legendary and Aatrox gets "ascended / celestial" legendary. it'd be nice having a skinline where they have similar goals and are actually friendly to eachother or could be rivals in the same team
I expected Pantheon to get the legendary for this one because of the transforming shield from the music video, but instead of they removed the transforming shield completely and gave Ambessa the skin with effects instead of animations.
i understand people not liking it that much but i kinda love it why u ask cuz 1. its a skin that is themed on a soldier like pantheon is. 2. its not a skin that changes the whole champion, as an example gragas and that new kda gragas skin (i forgot the name) it changes the whole theme of the champion and this skin is not like that which is i like cuz we need more champion skins in that theme. 3. skin fits the champion and its skills, let me give you an another example, when u say that there is a 1 guy that has the power of dead and can summon skeletons out of the dirt, u kinda think this guy is probably has a staff and has a dark colour scheme and is more chatoic on the looks chart. but when you think of an a soldier with a spear and a shield that is a really strong guy who can defeat an 5meters tall golem by it self with ease u think of an guy like pantheon, its muscular has a kinda leader and majestic look to itself and looks admireable, i enjoy the skins that gives an diffrent look to a character without changing its concept too much. i like it, i say its a W, i say thank you to those guys who made it.
The fact we haven't gotten a legendary skin in the form of Aspect of War pantheon from LoR when the art already exists is insane to me... Or really any legendary pantheon skin...
Creative skins are nice eye candy, until u realise that they fuck up the cleaness and smoothness of default animations in some skins - this skin just have better animations and feels smoother, the look is whatever (I personally like it, sfx and theme wise)
i think pantheon could benefit better by having in game regional skin like a bildgewater pantheon where he is a whale hunting pirate that hold a giant harpoon
Riot should reach out to some of these high profile streamers that main a few champs and ask for skin ideas. I feel like people who play the champ the most would know what it needs for skins. Unfortunately this idea is smart so Riot will never do it.
I get what Spear is saying about the skin. It is pretty much a Pantheon skin for those who prefer a red cape but even then; Myrmidon Pantheon already does that and better. I don't not like the skin butbit does feel lazy. Like they just said, "It's a Pantheon skin, just make him shirtless and give him a cape."
